I love how Adam has Spooky on one foot for this attack. It’s very Spooky. And, of course, the art overall on this page—Vero’s colors and Adam’s pencils—is just off-the-hook awesome. Everything I hoped for and more. 🙂

PLEASE NOTE: This is a double-page spread. You can view a version with higher resolution here.

And on such a gorgeous page, it’s my great pleasure to send out a special thank you to those readers who joined/re-joined my Patreon or upgraded their pledges in the past few days. We’ve tipped back over $6,000/month and that definitely helps me a lot. Hopefully, we’ll be able to hit $6,050 by the end of the month.

The only reason I’m able to keep making The Young Protectors is because of the very generous support of readers like you on Patreon. So, please join me in sending out a very special thank you and welcome to the new members of the Woolfpack this week!

Alexandrea D., C.E., Chuck P., Adam R., and Stephen S.

Thank you so much for your amazing support, Alexandrea, C.E., Chuck, Adam, and Stephen! You and the other members of the Woolfpack are all the real superheroes of this comic!

So! That looks like a solid hit to me! Is it enough to take The Platinum Priestess down for the count? Is this battle over before it’s even begun? Or is there still going to be a bit more fight left in the old girl?

Tune in this Wednesday to find out! Hope to see you there! 😀

  1. That’s a good ugly red and yellow magic blast - - blew the Platinum Priestess’ cape into shreds, put holes in her glove things, holes in her thigh-high white patent leathers stilettos, and after all those trees, maybe, possible, hopefully, wishing-might-make-it-true, blew her platinum metal pieces-parts off.
It’s the thought I have running around my head.
Thought bubble for me: (Sigh, Ben Franklin said something about “living on hope”… So part of that won’t ever come true)

  2. Jim says:

Spooky’s stance is like a pitcher winding up to throw a mean fast ball.

  3. At least for now it seems the surprise was really on their side so the “trap” possibility might be ruled out, I sure hope so!!!

Now let’s pray everything goes smoothly >////<

  4. jumping up and down THAT’S! MY!! BOY!!! YEEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAA
regardless what happens after this, that is an Epictm first strike and all the details on this page are fantastic.

  5. Especially made for The Platinum Priestess. Spooky isn’t messing around.

Yep. Or throwing his whole body weight into the blast.

Seems like they got the drop on her.

Agreed! I love what Adam and Vero did with this page!
