Yes, you can, Kyle.

Uncensored (and extra-sexy!) version of this page available for $5+ Patrons here. 🙂

Over on the Patreon page, $5+ Patrons are voting on what panel from the uncensored pages they want to be made into a special pin-up/wallpaper reward. Currently, Page 20, Panel 4 is in the lead, but there are two more days to go before the vote closes, so there’s still time to get your vote in and choose one of the next Patreon rewards!

So! Kyle has learned he can control his fire powers, even when things get hot. Have these two learned anything else from this experience?

Tune in this Wednesday to find out! Hope to see you there! 😀

  • So cute.. and happy Kyle.

    • Twice relieved Kyle.

      • William Clapie

Hey. It was a thorough test! Really. uh, that’s what it was. Now, part two. A Spooky spell!

  • Michael

Yes, Kyle, we’ve all seen that you can do “it” 😛

  • Cecilie Muldkjær Bredesen

Kyle is just too cute in this one.
His happiness from no fire is so clear on his face.
But cant help but feel like that is not what you should be talking about after doing that with your best friend….
    Or is that just me?

  • davefragments

This is like a special birthday confection — cake with icing, lots of sweet icing, and that giant flower decorating just your piece of cake.

  • Seriously.. I think Spooky has a crush. Question is whether he realize or put it under the ‘intense feeling’ he has with guys.

Also.. now some Spooky time, right? Spooky still got a boner (seen on panel 5 of NSFW) to give a little attention. I want more Spooky times 😉

  • Saxon_Brenton

Of course you can, Kyle. You’re awesome. Just have faith in yourself.

  • You know Kyle, I think this needs a very thorough testing. Yep, very thorough testing in all different positions. Yep. Science.

    • strangeangel24601

      FOR SCIENCE!

    • William Clapie

Bring it on? Yep. I can work with that!

  • Sapfo

Happy ending? But can our heros really have an adventure with no heartbreak, no angst? but only fun happy sexy time? I think I can adjust to this….
    Keep it coming! ^_^

  • Michael

Is THIS where the ninja robots burst in?

    • Klaus

That is what you would expect them to do.

    • William Clapie

What is with the ninja robots? Lol. Did they give you a bad time in your life? LMBO! Usually it’s “frightened by clowns”. Sorry man, not meaning to hurt, just yanking your crank so to speak. Now, I await your rejoinder.

      • davefragments

Alex W. teased in his writeup on first pages of “Legendary” that Ninja Robots were going to attack. It comes from the previous story, Engaging the Enemy, where Hunter and Killer (two vigilante/bounty hunter/soldiers for hire/superheroes) appear without warning when Kyle and Duncan are having a peaceful Chinese meal in Hong Kong (I think). So the joke is that Ninja robots attack refers to one of them who has metal implants, lots of them, and carries a sword.

  • Nate

Oh, I don’t know, Kyle… I think both you & Spooks are smoking (hot). 😉

  • Klaus

These frames are not just cropped. There has been some change to the color.

  • fujoshifanatic

Yeah, wow indeed. So now that you know that you can safely play, Kyle, I think you best get to returning the lovely favor your best friend did for you. Judging from the uncensored page, there’s still some unfinished business (or rather, pleasure) that needs some care. You can do it, man! And we’ll be right here, cheering you on! ;-P

  • fujoshifanatic

I must say, on this page (and especially the uncensored version) Spooky looks every bit like the adorably cuddly bear cub he is. I wonder if he can shoot lasers out of his eyes? Hmm…

  • Saikkusukka

Jesus Spooks, that dreamy look on the third panel… Be still my poor little heart

  • Brian Hopkins

In a different time (and style), panel 5 would include at least one cigarette.

    • davefragments

It’s nice to see an old-style romantic ending to a scene like this.
Many modern romantic stories forget these scenes.
(and without the cigarettes is a plus, too)

      • Jeff Baker

No cigarettes. I think the whole point was to not light some kind of fire! 🙂

        • davefragments

I’m a fan of old movies on TCM and those people smoke like chimneys. It’s embarrassing to watch knowing the truth.
Even on youtube, the video of one of my favorite Frank Sinatra songs (Stardust) was sponsored by a cigarette company (Lucky Strike).
And then one of my other idols – Miles Davis – can be seen live-scoring a movie and in the hand he holds the trumpet there is a cigarette. Now I wanna be cool like Miles Davis when I grow up but not with the cigarette.
          {wink, wink}

  • William Clapie

Ya’ know. Orgasms are called “the little death” because it feels so good and locks up the body and whatnot. Just sayin. Kyle has a spirit of steel! They make a great looking couple!

  • Klaus

Will Anaado’s ghost appear like it did in the text story?

    • fujoshifanatic

Probably not. Spooky had very deep emotions for both Anaado and Amanda, no doubt a result of the unique and intense circumstances and experiences he shared with the both of them. While he cares very much for Kyle, it does not appear that Spooky’s feelings for him are on that level, at least not at this point, so it is unlikely Kyle could elicit the psychic energy required from Spooky to manifest Anaado like when he was with Amanda.

    • Snorlaxation

sounds like i have some catching up to do.
      is that patreon related?

      • Short story on Patreon. Alex has written three Spooky short stories.

  • Jason Moon

It was good if the both of them can be overwhelmed by newborn kittens.

  • Michael

More specifically, as I understand it, it’s a running joke about “all this sappy kissing stuff” (or words to that effect) and Alex joking that he wants some action and excitement.

    • davefragments

      that too

  • davefragments

it could very well be that. I forget comment threads that far back.

  • Madock345

No, bad kyle, You don’t get to relax until you finish off lil’ spooky down there.

    • Klaus

All in good time. Let him enjoy the moment.

  • Jeff Baker

Wow! (Amazing, we care about these pictures with dialogue balloons. So well-done, so well-defined!)

  • Justin

It’s funny the difference between this and the NSFW pattern version, because to be honest if I were looking at this version I’d also get strange looks from coworkers =p. I’m so happy and surprised that Kyle could keep the fire in.

  • D. G.

I’m so happy Kyle didn’t have any fire problems. Not even any smoke. Yay. No how to take care of Spooky…

  • EMR Updated!!! http://elanmeetsrafa.com/the-comic/ch33pg1/

There are a couple of different explanations for things… but O.O

  • Saxon_Brenton

Glad tidings, fellow Woolfpack members. The ‘yes’ vote won the Australian same sex marriage survey.

As some non-Australian may be aware, we’ve been having a “non-binding postal survey” for the past two months on about whether to legislate same sex marriage in this country. Results were announced this morning: 61.6% yes vote nationally, yes vote in all states and territories, 12.7 million participants for 79.5% of eligible voters.

Now it’s just a wait to see if the no campaign can get any exemptions into the legislation for ‘deeply held personal convictions’.

In any case, I have brought virtual champagne to the camping ground.

    • davefragments

I hope that Australia establishes same-sex marriage without exemption.

  • davefragments

    Hello Campers.
I bring white chocolate chip cookies with macadamia nuts and marzipan icing for tonight’s camping. . .

    • Hey dave! I am watching Hikaru no Go for the nth time. ^_^ I am around episode 21 out of 75 ish. ^_^ I love my Go playing babies.

      • davefragments

I have a GO board and pieces. I haven’t played in years but I liked it better than chess. A different type of strategy.

        • I understand very little about Go, but I love the anime and manga. Hikaru is an athletic, bad at academics, student when he gets possessed by a ghost – Fujiwara no Sai – whose only purpose after dying is to play more Go in the search for the Kami no Itte (Hand of God/Divine Move). HIkaru eventually gains an interest in the game and learns how to play. I love Sai, Akira, Mitani, Waya, Kaga…

          • davefragments

GO involves surrounding open spaces and keeping those spaces.
Hikaru No Go isn’t on my cable. I’ll look it up on the internet tomorrow.

          • Yeah, it is a bit of an older anime. The anime ran from 2001-3 and the manga from 1998-2003. I would suggest Crunchyroll, but they don’t have it (just checked). You can watch it on gogoanime though.

          • davefragments

As for the ghost, capturing spots in GO is referred to as “giving life” and the rare “Tie” game is called “Eternal Life.”

Very suited to a ghost story.

          • Some of the way things are in the anime are no longer true, the manga mentions that there was a change in komi and how the otai matches for dan levels worked. The manga was drawn by Obata Takeshi (who also did Death Note), the story was written by Hotta Yumi, and the Go supervized by Umezawa Yukari who was a 5 dan at the time but is now 6 dan.

          • davefragments

There are all sorts of country-specific rules.

          • Yeah, I think there was a mention of that in the manga somewhere as well. Go in Japan was declining but the manga and anime helped revive it a bit.

          • I know the gist of capturing stones, I know about the ladder, counting territory is something I could do, but the battling for territory goes right over my head mostly. I could probably replay a kifu, but wouldn’t be able to tell you what was going on.

          • davefragments

I understand. It takes practice to “see ahead” and build those structures. I stare at the board and take time between moves.

    • Terri Sutton

That sounds better than the fruitcake my grandfather baked.

      • davefragments

I baked a fruitcake with my Aunt once. It was a friends traditional English Recipe. It was good but too much work for a “fruitcake.” If you know what I mean.

        • Terri Sutton

My grandfather just mixes everything in bowl, puts in a tin then bakes for 3 hours. He never lets the fruit soak, never. It smells like rum, which puts me off as I don’t drink, but it uses rum essence not real rum which is a put-off for others.

          • davefragments

oh no, no, no, no… 😉
You can’t use Rum essence –real rum or real whiskey or real brandy but never “essence”

          • Terri Sutton

Yeah, but I’m from a family that does not drink (which is shocking considering we’re Australian) and that is my great-grandmother’s recipe (which you do not argue with) and if there is real booze at hand my grandfather will use it.

          • davefragments

The Pennsylvania State Stores sell those tiny airline bottles. When I buy wine, I sometimes buy an airline bottle of brandy or whiskey and use it in cooking.

          • Stephen Hutchison

Properly prepared, and not re-soaked a dozen times, the real booze will be no stronger than the fake booze which tastes nasty and DOES have alcohol in it. Just the real stuff has a bit more.

  • Hello campers.
Having one of those days where I’m aching in my leg joints (I got chronic D-vitamin issues), but it’s not going to stop me from camping for the next page. Can’t wait yo see what happens next.

    • davefragments

      Hello Danishwolf…

      • Good thing it’s early morning, that I’m stuffed still from a late evening snack, or I’d be needing to feed my sweet tooth after the convo below 🙂

        • davefragments

Today I made my stuffed chicken breast and I thought I’d save myself a little work by buying a package of bread cubes specifically for stuffing. That package made 3 helpings of stuffing. I stuffed myself and then froze a second meal (half the chicken) and a separate helping of stuffing.
One of the days my cooking went awry.

    • Morning Danish sweetie!

      • Morning. A dark one as it’s near a new moon outside. Still quite quiet here before people will start leaving for work more in the coming hour.

        • Ah! Did you see Teahouse’s twitter asking if we were still around?

          • No! I haven’t been on Twitter since monday evening.
I’ve been wondering if Em and CC would get a little creator nostalgic, after Em will be doing the epilogue for CC’s Fox Sister comic now (once it will be that time). Probably been a while since they worked together on private project, likely not since Teahouse.

(I still have a -now not so- secret hope that they one day decide to take up Teahouse again in some form)

  • davefragments

    patreon rumbles

    • Back in time to see this. Doki lured me away with Teahouse talk.

      • davefragments

For a number of years when I was working, we had a joke about the “Teahouse of the August Sun” (which will remain a private joke) that was a satire on our management thanks to the old movie “Teahouse of the August Moon.”

  • Sapfo

    Morning ^^

    • davefragments

      Hi Sapfo

    • Morning Sapfo!

    • Good morning. In time to join the wait for the page :).
