Sure.

Y’all seemed to like seeing Tsunami all dressed up in a suit on Page 4, so over on the Patreon Page, I decided to share a gorgeous painting of Tsunami in an entirely different suit: his birthday suit!

Beautifully rendered by artist Marccus, here is a sneak preview:

$5+ Patrons can download the full (and fully nude!) pin-up immediately. And $10+ Patrons will be sent a high-res version with over double the resolution on the 10th of August!

There are lots of great benefits to being a Patron (you can see them all here along with an explanation of what the heck Patreon is), and you’d really be helping me out if you became one too. If you’re enjoying our work here and would like to see it continue (and would like to get access to all kinds of special benefits),

please take a moment to watch the video on my Patreon page and consider becoming a Patron.

So! Kyle has questions about The Platinum Priestess! But does DunKid have any answers about the mean, old witch?

Tune in this Saturday to find out! Hope to see you there! 😀

“I’m pretty sure I remember everything being all her idea.”

  • stickfigurefairytales

I can’t get over Dunkid’s big adorable ears.

    • davefragments

      I can — otoplasty

      • stickfigurefairytales

        Oh, hush.

      • Klaus

        Or superglue.

        • Adam Black

          Back alley Surgery.
          Take my pocket knife

    • Airboy Obsessed

I love those big adorable ears. xD

      I’m kinda thrown by his jaw in that profile view. It just seems so…off and disproportionate. >_>;

      • stickfigurefairytales

I think it could just be the angle that he’s sitting that makes it jut out more.

        • Airboy Obsessed

Probably, or just an angle I’m not used to seeing but the whole head shape seems odd to me. xD

          • stickfigurefairytales

            Could be.

          • Adam Black

No you are correct. It’s because he’s inconsistent drawn. Or there is details missing from different angles making him look different ages.

I don’t believe his head could exist as currently shown derived from a single 3D model.

Now if there is was an inuniverse explanation that would be cool as hell ( Face from hell still settling rearranging ) .

But I think it’s unconscious bias from Adam and Vera trying to figure out how to draw Youngkin Annihi-Later.

          • Airboy Obsessed

So glad I’m not the only one to see it, then, thank you! lol. He looks fine from the front, but I have noticed the inconsistencies, still a total cutie though. That profile was just jarring though.

      • Adam Black

Yeah, his face is being drawn in radical different proportions that make him look from 13- 17.

( Adam, Vera, get on that and settle on a look. )

    • Having seen older him, he sure grew into fitting them 😉

  • Zephyr10101

I refuse to feel sorry for him

  • Pietro7

“Tell me about the mean witch.”
    (Everybody wants to know!)

    • davefragments

      The one who got away

    • stickfigurefairytales

She turned me into a newt!

      • Pietro7

        Hope you got better. 🙂

      • Klaus

But you got better, I see,

  • davefragments

This forgetting is a spell of some sort. It made him unable to remember but didn’t wipe out the memories. His memories are hidden in his mind.

    • Very possible theory.

    • Dakejev

Having spent a few years in a similar state (unable to form new “lifestory” memories) due to mis-matched medications (I’m better now, memory’s working as well/bad as it ever did, but I’m still missing active memories – ones not needing a photo or something to unlock – for the better part of 3 years), I can tell you that it’s both freaking scary and that the sudden “unlocks” of memory in comparison to the general blankness are startling, exhilarating and frustrating, all at once.

      • Klaus

I am sorry to hear it. I can not even imagine hove horrible that must be.

      • NoiseShaper

That sounds difficult indeed. But do the memories that do reappear then stay accessible for you afterwards, at least?

        • They do for me, although I think from Dakejev’s description that my experience was much less severe. It’s a very odd experience, because the memories are *there* and not gone forever, but it takes an outside reminder to be able to access them again. Keeping a notebook helped because I could at least remember to look at that, and then form a memory chain from the notes to retrieve other stuff.

One of the things that really sucked for the couple of years this was going on was that you can’t read a book if you’ve forgotten what happened at the top of the page by the time you get to the bottom of the page. Yes, I could get it back by re-reading the page a couple of times, but that does rather interrupt the flow of the story.

(If I sounded tetchy on the last comments page on being lectured about how there’s no such thing as anterograde amnesia – this is why.)

          • NoiseShaper

Thank you for the explanation. I’m glad to hear that you can at least pull the memories back up bit by bit.

I hope it gets easier the tighter the network gets.

        • Dakejev

Not unless intentionally reinforced by reminding myself of them again and again. Right now, without relying on photos or anything like that, I can remember about 5 things that happened in my life (and each of them pretty much only because I took photos that I then looked at over and over), and maybe another 5 from the 2 years before that.

I _know_ certain things happened, but can’t remember them.

          • NoiseShaper

That sucks. But if it had been worse before as you’ve told there should be hope that it can get better than that, too, right?

          • Dakejev

Oh it is better now that my medication is suitable. Memory pretty much normalized (in that I can form new memories and don’t forget things like appointments) during February-March this year. Still, the few foggy years make me really sympathetic of Duncan here.

          • You may find that as your memory in general improves over the next year or so it will be easier to hang on to the stuff that fell down the memory hole but has come back through an outside trigger – it did for me.

          • Dakejev

I have already refreshed my memories of my last summer’s vacation trip, as I had a lot of photos from it. But obviously I don’t normally take photos or notes of my regular life (diaries are more depressing than anything else), so the feeling of having even lived through those years is… Well, not so much completely missing as sort of lacking. Not as vivid as the time before and now after. Kinda like how in dreams time can pass without actually passing, like it was fast-forwarded over the non-interesting parts.

  • Food_Fight

Uugh he looks so innocent in that little body. I wanna think that he is telling the truth. I hope everything goes well from now on even though we have so much thing to solve still.

    • stickfigurefairytales

I want to believe him too, but I’ve learned from my experience of trusting original recipe Duncan that my judgement is terrible.

      • NoiseShaper

Much depends on how much of his memory reappears, and with it potentially his previous character and priorities…!

      • Curt Clark

I think a majority of us were fooled.

And yet, I’m still against Kyle turning Dunkid extra crispy. I want him to be telling the truth as well.

  • Foye

So he does remember a few things eh? Not sure he actually forget then.

    • Brian Hopkins

Oh, yeah, I have this fleeting image of you naked tied to a bed. Or something. Why were you doing that?

      • Klaus

That is adult thing. You are not quite old enough to understand.

      • Foye

        what?

    • Klaus

I would think that he would have a greater chance of being let off the hook if the amnesia was total, concerning the time he has been a criminal. So that is what he would pretend.

    • Shjade

I think he’s ashamed of what he remembers as that person he was got lost.

Hard to come to terms with your memories telling you you’re a monster.

    • NoiseShaper

In that case I would rather expect that he’d deny the access to any memories at all, however!

    • timemonkey

If it is he’ll get caught pretty quick. That would be impossible to fake for long while being watched at all times.

He’d have had to show no surprise at the kids winning the fight, no surprise or anger at being de-aged, no sign that he’s used to being super strong and invulnerable (and that would be instinctive by this point), no anger at Sircea, no worry about the dimensional walls collapsing, no emotional attachment to Kyle (which he couldn’t even fake as an adult).

  • Caraway Carter

I just want him old again.

    • timemonkey

      Why? So he can die?

      • Caraway Carter

No, I liked the older/younger relationship dynamic. Maybe if he were 40, but I love the old annihilator.

        • timemonkey

Problem is, as I’ve mentioned before, that older Duncan went too far. He’s crossed too many lines and raised the stakes too high, there would be no continueing relationship if he stayed older because the consequences of his actions would prevent it.

  • Well, that is one thing to call her…

  • Diana_Christine

Hi, everyone! I just got all caught up after taking about 2 years off. (Life is stressful and whatnot) And GOOD GOD. Everything I missed was CRAZY. But’s good to be back.

Even if Duncan is now an evil little kid I don’t trust but still want to give him hugs and attention on the off chance this is real so he doesn’t get screwed up again….

    • davefragments

Welcome back. We’re glad you enjoy the Young Protectors

    • Welcome back. Sometimes I wonder how it would feel, to either catch up on a lot of pages, or reading this from the start in one go, rather than page by page – because having done the last, and that’s been helluva ride, it must be mind-spinning to get so much at once 🙂

    • Kattriella

Wow, I just binged the comic in two days after being gone for two years myself. Last I saw was right after we first meet Demon Daddy when Duncan first showed his hand. I’m . . . actually a little irritated with where this comic is right now. And I know that sounds bad, but . . . I don’t know, I guess I’m just missing suave, adult Duncan. This Duncan looks like Opie Tayler . . . Yes, I’m a shallow shrew, I know.

    • Welcome back, Diana! Good to have you here again! 🙂

  • Adam Black

    Hey guys forget camping

    • davefragments

      oops

      • Adam Black

I know I wish I remembered. Been crazy weekend due to drama I told you guys.

I got my stuff successfully moved…
But I’m sore as hell from doing almost no work. Could be wrecked for the summer.

        • davefragments

Glad you are moved. Hope you feel better.

          • Adam Black

            Thanks

        • Glad that you got your stuff. Hope the summer won’t be too bad.

          • Adam Black

Thanks. It’s probably effectively over for me

        • Klaus

          Like Duncan here?

  • Jeldenil

Uhm Kyle. That’s suggestion. He should tell you what he remembers by himself.

    • Michael

Is Kyle trained in interrogation techniques? I would tend to think no.

      • Klaus

I don’t see why he would.

      • Adam Black

We could break this kid with tickles alone

    • NoiseShaper

Well, getting a hold of Sircea is kind of a pressing matter at this point in time, so trying to jog his memory a little bit seems reasonable if there should be any valuable information connected to it (does Duncan remember any of her secret lairs…?).

    • Pietro7

The implication of the text is that trained Exsec interrogators already talked to Dunkid and the results were sub-optimal. So now they’re trying something else.

  • Hmm, if DunKid really does have a kind of amnesia (or memory blocked spell?), it must be one thing to remember flashes of your past life, but even more weird/confussing when past-you includes an older you.

Like getting memories of the possible future you, but same time already past you. Question would be what those flashes of bad doings will do to future Young-can.

As much as I almost don’t like saying it, it is reasonable that Duncan is in prison right now, despite him being young, after this revelation to us. That he does have memory flashes makes him potentionally dangerous. He is young again, but there’s too much uncertainty about what will come back to him, and his reactions to the memories, to let him out juuust yet. Or at all.

    • Yes, a young Duncan remembering in bits and pieces might be more dangerous than a Duncan with intact memories of what he did and why. Older Duncan would probably feel a lot of guilt at not having tried harder to get Spooky to help instead of using human sacrifices, but he’d understand how he’d reached that point. If young Duncan’s genuinely amnesiac but starting to remember, it could convince him he’s irredeemably evil.

  • fujoshifanatic

I’m sticking with the premise that DunKid has been effectively erased and will not be a problem to anyone anymore, especially if he stays that age per Laampros’ nasty deal. This would make the tidiest closure to this arc, and frankly, unless this is going to be a fifty-page epilogue, I don’t think there is any more space left for any other twists (such as hidden memory) to be resolved here. Just saying, but I could be wrong. Though I’m really curious to see if PP really is the karma Houdini of the story, or did she suffer any consequences for her part in all this. I hope we do find out–maybe as a segue back to Spooky’s bedroom perhaps?

    • Adam Black

Like what if Duncan got a similar deal multiple times, with memory wipes?

  • TwilightDreamer

I’m proud of how calm Kyle is staying right now…it’s like he does believe Duncan is telling the truth, but at the same time, he’s being cautious and not taking chances.

    • Derkins

He learned some serious life lessons from his dealings with Adult Duncan.

      • Curt Clark

It’s also remarkable how well he’s keeping his anger at the Annihilator in check around Dunkid.

  • bronakopdin

    Hahahahha x’D
    Mean witch!!!! ^^ Awesome!
    and I love “DunKid” :DDD
Nice page making me laugh on my bday x3

    • Klaus

      Congratulations.

    • KatKaleen

      Happy birthday!

    • Alles Gutes zum Geburtstag Brotnakopfdine‼‼ ;°P

      • bronakopdin

LOOOOOL Danke xD I think this is the epitome of messing up my name… in a good way xDD

      • Hmm. What is this “Owen” comic you mention in your Disqus name?

        • She the writing part of the webcomic Tripping Over You (at trippingoveryou.com ) and inbetween chapters, the artist Suzana takes a short break and Owen draws some minicomics that I love…

          andtheyremeantforthisweeksoimimpatient

          • Ah, thank you. I thought the comic’s name might be “Owen.”

I’ve met the creators behind TOY and they are very cool. 🙂

    • Saxon_Brenton

      Congratulations! Virtual cake for everybody.

      • bronakopdin

        thank you x3

    • purplefoxglove

      Happy belated 🙂

      • bronakopdin

        thanks x3

    • Happy belated birthday, bronakopdin! Thank you for sharing it with us! 🙂

      • bronakopdin

Thank you so much, Alex 😀

  • Madock345

Who the fuck every bullied this adorable monkey child.

    • Klaus

It must have started when he was much younger. And he would have had a different haircut.

      • Jason Moon

If it predates his sexual discovery, they probably gave him grief over his ears.

        • Kattriella

I should not have laughed at this, damn it.

          • Jason Moon

It’s like a Beavis and Butt-Head joke; you know you shouldn’t laugh because it is awful, but just can’t help it.

      • Adam Black

        It’s time for a sequel!

    • Adam Black

He’s whiny and has punchable face.

His real superpower is Noogie Attractor.

  • Jason Moon

“Mean Witch and Angry Boy: A Journey.” I don’t know why THAT popped into my head.

    • And for some reason that made me think of Narnia.

      • Pietro7

Good association! I can see it.

      • Kate G

        I can see it.

  • Dakejev

I have to wonder, what happened to the “mean witch”, if this happened to Duncan…?

    • Pietro7

I have a mental image of her as a 15-year-old living on a tropical island and wearing a coconut bra and no tiara. I wish it would go away.

      • HA!

Wonder if that version of her manahed to tame Fluffy, or she has to hide when it come around with a slightly burned behind xD

        • Chris Dangerfield

          Extra HA.

      • Connor

Somehow I can’t imagine even a 15-year-old Sircea being trapped by anything as mundane as the ocean.

    • Klaus

She certainly is mean. And when I say mean, I mean mean.

  • timemonkey

Something occurred to me: what if his memory loss has nothing to do with the demon deal and is a spell from Sircea? Duncan had a lot of information and was showing signs of switching sides, she might have taken precautions against that.

    • Klaus

      Interesting idea. And entirely possible.

    • Curt Clark

      …On the one hand, I like it…

…on the other, dating a literal demon for a decade leads me to the question, “why not just kill him?”

    • Adam Black

      Could be.
But I predicted this as an outcome.

  • Huh. That would be so… Weird.
Like having a dream where you see yourself doing terrible things.

But this time you know it’s real.
    YOU didn’t do them… But… You did.
That’s a lot of weird emotions to deal with.
I can’t imagine what Tiny Duncan is going through!

    • Wayne Lunkwitz

Weird ….but it makes sense……and yes he “DID” Kyle!

  • Happy Birthday to you!
    Happy Birthday to you!
    Happy Birthday dear @bronakopdin:disqus !
    Happy Birthday to you!

and many more on Channel Four
keep it alive on Channel Five

    • Happy Birthday, Brona.

      • bronakopdin

        thanks Danish x3

        • Chris Dangerfield

Oh big happy you… Enjoy your birthday month!

          • bronakopdin

haha I’ll try… after exams are over x’D

    • bronakopdin

      thank you doki <3

      • davefragments

        Happy birthday and many more

        • bronakopdin

          thanks x3

      • HAPPY HAPPY!!

        • bronakopdin

          thank you Admiral x3

  • bronakopdin

    thanks a lot x3

  • Derkins

Duncan sure filled out as he gold older, didn’t he? :p

  • Derkins

In other stories when something along these lines happen (with amnesia, flashbacks, and double-lives) it’s rare that you see the person going back to being the same as before — once they remember their old lives. I’m thinking of Zap, Sister Claire, and even Blindspot on TV (I’m not a huge fan but it fits the theme).
While the characters mature from their “blank-slate selves” as time goes on, they also don’t totally abandon the tabla-rasa-version of themselves that they became when their memories were lost (upon remembering them). When the old and new versions of themselves collide, I think they often become something that is a melding or combo of the two. Or maybe a third new thing, that is born from the other two. They might have qualities from both personalities, but also grow beyond it into a person who is more aware or conscientious, as they gain a broader perspective on life and their situation.

Even if Duncan does remember his old life, I doubt he is going to become that same person again. He will be a young, more sensitive Duncan with a lifetime of perspective on what happens when you make tons of mistakes, hurt people you care about, and almost destroy the world/end up in Hell. He won’t be as jaded and hardened as Adult Duncan, but he won’t be as innocent as DunKid. Even adult Duncan wasn’t totally evil. The younger version of him should have good within, that can be nourished. IMO locking him up forever would be a waste of redemption opportunity. It also might do more harm than good, in trying to prevent him from becoming a villain again. >.>

    • Pietro7

Interesting perspective, Derkins, thanks for sharing it. I too hope Dunkid is not faking, and I’m concerned that his time in Exsec’s hands could make him into a worse monster than he was. I’d rather read a redemption arc than a repeating tragedy.

    • Shadizar Silvermask

Well that’s contingent on the new self’s memories not getting erased when the old self’s memories are returned. It’s not that uncommon for someone in a state like Duncan to develop a good, trusted life then have that new self killed and the old restored in its place (sometimes it’s even a result of people continuing to treat the blank slate like the old self and it causes the old self to return due to the negative treatment reviving those memories).

  • Wayne Lunkwitz

I missed camping…….TOTALLY missed camping……blame it on disturbing news received on Monday…..that’s my story and I’m sticking to it!

  • poor, poor Opie..

..i know you can’t reply to the following either, woolf; i only want to leave the commentary, that it is my hope opie ….. is doing anything but Faking

    yeah?

    • Chris Dangerfield

      Yeahhhhhh…

      • yeah…

…maybe alex will surprise us, though?

        with something totally unexpected.

        • Chris Dangerfield

HA! I count on it. 🙂

  • Kattriella

I just binged this whole story in two days after being away from it for TWO YEARS. I lost all my bookmarks when my old laptop died, and I never could remember the name of this comic. The name “Artifice” suddenly popped into my head, and I remembered that I’d found this story through it . . . So . . . Here I am, I guess?

Now that I’ve done my walk of shame for forgetting this story, time for another shameful admission . . . I miss Silver Fox Duncan. I actually hope he gets aged back . . . This child Duncan and what’s happening to him really bothers me . . . Yes, Duncan did hottinle things. ADULT Duncan. This kid version of Duncan seems to have no memory of who he was or what happened. Seems to have possibly regressed back to before he even discovered his powers. I really don’t want to see him just locked up and forgotten. If he HAS to stay a kid, and possibly stay this way forever, don’t lock him up for something he may never even remember . . .

And one final question: Did Sircea regress in age as well, or was that only for Duncan? I’m curious what kid Sircea would look like . . . probably a twelve-year-old dressed like a hoochie coochie girl. (In other words, a regular kid as far as today’s standards go. -_-)

    • davefragments

Sircea’s fate hasn’t been revealed yet.

      • Kattriella

I’m just curious about what people are speculating about her possible fate. I’m leaning towards her regressing in age as well, but she’s millennia older than Duncan, so who knows how much she would have aged back. She could look twenty-something, or she might be be in the same boat as Duncan, a kid with no clue what’s happening around her. I enjoy reading other people’s theories on this.

    • Welcome back.

    • Welcome back, Kattriella! It’s been fun for me reading your “catching up” comments. 🙂

  • Call me still suspicious. I just… I just can’t stop looking for that other shoe to drop. Considering it dropped on my head last time.

    • Chris Dangerfield

What? Are you hoping for a current pair of perfectly fighting Jimmy Choo’s to just casually knock you on the noggin?

      * Sure I’ll hold my breath with you… Heeeee….*

      • I think you mixed up the wishlists again, bubba. 😛

      • Adam Black

        What’s a fighting Jimmy Choo ?

    • Saxon_Brenton

I am suspicious as well. After all, we’ve learnt the hard way.

      • Indeed and exactly! I mean that shoe landing on our head hurt!

  • Pikinanou

Somewhere… there might be a certain someone who just sneezed 😛

For your camping entertainment: hellsnake fanfic

Shane And The Hellsnakes – 34th Bite
(A Young Protectors occult sitcom fanfic. Inspired by the stories of AMW comics.)

Final episode (urls at end. This stroy arc: 22-34)

    PAGE 1 – Waking Up
(1.1) Wide shot of a bedroom in Shane’s apartment. Light is streaming through the window. In the foreground Louie the hellsnake is in bed, tucked under the covers, and is yawning and stretching. In the background Dewey is reading something on a tablet, but looks up at the movement.
    Narrative caption: Weeks later.
    Louie: “Yaaawwwn.”
(1.2) Medium shot. Dewey has moved closer to the bed, and is flickering his tongue over Louie in a type of snakey kiss.
    Dewey: “Hisss?”
Louie: “Sore… And kind of achey, I guess.”
Louie (continued): “Wait, what do you mean by that?”
(1.3) Medium shot of Shane standing in the doorway. He is leaning against the frame with his arms folded in a casual stance, but he has a smile on his face reflecting his pleasure at seeing Louie regain consciousness.
Shane: “Just what he says. We’ve all been worried about you.”
(1.4) Medium shot of bedroom. Louie is sitting up and looking mildly baffled. Shane and Dewey are sitting on the edge if the bed. Shane lightly taps his own chest with his fist as he explains the situation.
Shane: “You’ve been asleep for the past week… and before that we had you on life support for two weeks…”
SFX (Shane tapping his chest): Tap tap
Shane (continued): “…in here. You kind of overstretched yourself saving everyone.”

    PAGE 2 – Conversation
(2.1) Medium shot of bedroom, from a slightly different viewing angle. Everyone in the same positions as before. Louie still looks a bit baffled as they start to remember.
Louie: “Oh, yeah. All the shamblers, and then the building went up… So everyone’s okay?”
Shane (smiling reassuringly): “They’re all great. A bit shook up over the whole dying thing… But, you know, that’s what trauma counselling is for. Matt and Alice are both grateful too, but they can give you their thanks later. Huey’s got plans for a dinner with them, sometime later when you’re feeling up to it.”
(2.2) Another medium shot of bedroom.
Louie: “Hold on… You had me on life support in you? In your soul? How did you manage that? That’s really dangerous.”
Dewey (rolling his eyes in exasperation): “Hisss!”
Shane (agreeing with Dewey): “And it was hardly any less dangerous than you almost exhausting yourself to the point of death.”
(2.3) Medium shot of bedroom. Louie looks embarrassed. In background Shane and Dewey share an amused glance.
Louie: “Yes, well… But you know… I’ve got my vow…”
(2.4) Medium shot of bedroom. Shane begins to stand up, but leans over and gives Louie a kiss on the top of the head that parallels the one Dewey gave earlier.
Shane: “We’ve all got our reasons for doing good. Don’t be ashamed of not being cynical.”

    PAGE 3 – Meow
(3.1) Medium shot of bedroom, with Shane starting to move towards the door.
Louie (teasingly): “I dunno. Good advice, but it doesn’t sound like the usual disclaimers from the guy who claims he’s nowhere near as moral as certain hellsnakes think.”
(3.2) Closeup on Shane’s face. He raises an ironic eyebrow as he replies. In the background it’s the turn of Dewey and Louie to share an amused glance.
Shane: “Has it occurred to you that maybe I was just being selfish?”
(3.3) Medium shot of bedroom. Shane is moving towards the door again, and has a grin. The hellsnakes won’t be able to see his expression, but will be able to hear the tone of Shane’s voice.
    Dewey (shaking head): “Hisss.”
Louie: “And neither do I. We’ve slept in your soul, mister, and we’ve got a good idea that you aren’t the asshole you sometimes claim to be.”
Shane (grinning): “If you say so.”
(3.4) Medium shot of bedroom, with Louie and Dewey on panel. Shane is talking from off panel.
    Louie (smiling): “And Shane?”
    Shane (off panel): “Yeah?”
    Louie (continued): “Meow.”
(3.5) Medium shot of Shane, standing in the door way. He has paused, and is looking back with a smile at the shared family joke. He is half turned to look back at the hellsnakes, with one hand raised to lean against the frame again.
Shane: “And meow to you too.”

    =====

All done. No more hellsnake fanfic.
Whoa, considering the final arc was meant to be nothing more than a meditation on how the main characters all felt about each other, I’m amazed that it blew out to be almost a third of the total story run.

Thanks Saxon! That was entertaining, and is appreciated. Now if we can just do a kickstarter to pay for the script to be penciled, inked and colored by certain people we know and love . . .

    • Hell Snake fics will me missed.

  • Pietro7

Okay, NOW I’m intrigued. Does our Admiral have a double life? 🙂

  • davefragments

    Hello Campers,
How y’all doing this Friday evening (or Saturday morning) depending where you are?

    • Saxon_Brenton

It’s a nice day and I’m doing well.

I have recovered from my exhaustion from the wedding last weekend (where I not only did best man duties, but also did far too much dancing at the reception for someone in his late forties, and was also part of the cleanup crew afterwards).

      • davefragments

You sound like you had fun at the wedding.

    • Pietro7

I’m in the USA like you, and sunset is slowly happening, with cooling breezes after a hot and muggy day. Eager to get a better idea of what knowledge Dunkid still has to impart. I suspect that Exec’s interrogators did not tell him just what his older self did to Kyle. I wonder if Kyle will tell him?

      • davefragments

I don’t know about ExSec but I hope Kyle digs out whatever information DunKid has hiding in his befuddled brain.

I also wonder if Spooky or Sircea has some magic spell that would restore Dunkid’s memory. Now that would be an interesting conversation or confrontation between the two of them. If she didn’t get “young” because she wasn’t at the gate when Laampros came through, it would be an even more interesting conversation.

    • It stormed right as Doki was about to take a nap. Doki probably would have gone to sleep anyway, but she had to get out of bed to turn off the AC and then couldn’t go to sleep once back in bed.

      • davefragments

Today’s rain came this morning for me. I fall asleep during rain. I think it is the low pressure.

        • Doki was tired and most likely sick. Threw up twice? Maybe?

          • davefragments

Sorry to hear that. I hope you feel better.

          • stickfigurefairytales

Oh no, poor Doki! I hope you feel better soon. Drink water as often as you can!

          • *hugs* take care.

    • Wayne Lunkwitz

Good evening…. 9 PM here…..no rain today…..for a change 🙂 Looking forward to what’s going to happen this time around

      • davefragments

It didn’t rain on Wednesday of this week. It’s been a daily rain for a week. Last night my electric blinked 4 times during one storm.

    • Got a busy day ahead of me. I suddently went from having the summer free to starting a 3 month internship in a super market on monday (was told thursday morning), so I got a lot to get finished at home before starting. The next 3 months I will only have one whole free day a week.

      • davefragments

That’s like feast or famine of free time.
        I hope it goes well.

    • stickfigurefairytales

I should probably be going to sleep soon as I’ve got to get up early tomorrow and remove a bunch of wallpaper.

      • davefragments

I’m devoting tomorrow to writing parts of a short story.

        • stickfigurefairytales

          Good luck!

  • 😛 *chucks extra stale muffin at your head*

  • syllibub

I’m sure someone’s pointed this out already, but…if you don’t remember anything, how do you know she’s mean, Duncan?

I’m really happy about this coda — things are still pretty intense!

  • davefragments

I just saw the trailer for the new King Kong – Skull Island and there wasn’t a lady in distress wearing high heels and slinky, filmy gown running though the streets of New York City and climbing the Empire State building. It’s just a preview of big action sequences. I’m disappointed. Kong ain’t fun without his Damsel in Distress.

    • stickfigurefairytales

I enjoyed the way Enchanted reversed that trope (having the guy get carried off by the big monster). Also, hi Dave!

      • davefragments

        Hi Stick,
That’s the new modern version of the fractured fairy tale

  • Songbird

I have brownies for gall the lovely campers! Hope I’m not late.

    • davefragments

      mmmm, thanks

    • Saxon_Brenton

      Noms! Thank you.

    • stickfigurefairytales

      Ooh, thank you so much!

    • Pietro7

      Yum! Thanks Songbird!

  • Good morning from here. Having been awake for around 20mins, I’m now coherent enough to comment. I’m not a morning person, but some mornings are worse than others ^_^

  • Jupiter is supposedly losing it’s big red spot…

    • stickfigurefairytales

Are the storms that cause it dying down?

      • No idea, it popped up in my twitter feed and I am falling asleep…

        • stickfigurefairytales

Twitter can be such a confusing maelstrom of information. Although I guess that is true of a lot of other media, too.

      • Adam Black

I don’t think it can. It’s a counter current storm.i tread in Chaos, it’s mathematically stable that Jupiter has one giant counter current storm

    • stickfigurefairytales

      Also, hi Doki! *hugs*

    • Hopefully it’s not a sign that the weapon is fully charged and ready to fire. 😀

      • Adam Black

Wait till it opens and blinks

    • davefragments

I haven’t read the articles about the satellite that did a flyover the Red Spot. The Red Spot is, however, the equivalent of a giant hurricane (sort of… almost…) so it might be slowing down.

  • Not long now, my friends…

    • Yay! It’s to early in the day to grab the popcorn, so I will go for a Prince bisquit instead.

      • stickfigurefairytales

Ooh, sounds nice to me. Hi DanishWolf!

        • Hiya, you made it just in time. And yes, I don’t buy Prince bisquits often, but found some on sale so had to get me a pack *noms*

          • stickfigurefairytales

Yes, really glad I made it in time!

  • Adam Black

    Hello

    • davefragments

      Hi Adam

      • Adam Black

        Oh I missed you

    • stickfigurefairytales

      Hi Adam!

      • Adam Black

        I made it.

        • stickfigurefairytales

          Hooray! Good job.

          • Adam Black

That’s what I want to hear , after giving this punk some swirlies. Let’s make it a team effort.

    • Yo!

      • stickfigurefairytales

        Hi AJ!

        • Hey Sticky!! How’s it going?

          • Adam Black

            It’s going sticky right?

          • 😛

          • stickfigurefairytales

            Well, sticky going, anyway.

          • stickfigurefairytales

            Well, sticky going, anyway.

          • stickfigurefairytales

Pretty well! I’ve got a busy weekend of home repair ahead of me, though. How about you?

          • It’s going alright. Doing this and that, trying to get yarn boxes made for sale and such.

          • stickfigurefairytales

            Good luck!

          • Thanks! It’s been interesting and fun doing all the staining and stuff.

          • stickfigurefairytales

So I’m guessing that you’re making them out of wood, then?

          • Yep. We’ve been making little treasure type boxes too.

          • stickfigurefairytales

            Ooh, sounds nice.

          • They’re pretty cute I must say. 😀

          • Adam Black

            Yarn boxes?

          • Boxes that hold the yarn as you knit or crochet so it doesn’t fly all over the place.

          • Adam Black

Oh I thought you were spinning goat fur or something

          • One day!

          • Adam Black

Save time and sell goat boxes

          • What would the purpose of a goat box be?

          • stickfigurefairytales

To keep the goats in, obviously.

          • There is that!

          • Adam Black

Not to be confused with goat se

          • Adam Black

            From You, Eternal Gratitude.

            ( Imagine Tomorrow you get a box…. Inside a mini goat. )

          • Well that would be a nice surprise

          • Adam Black

You should come over here and hung up these Xmas lights I got.

          • stickfigurefairytales

I am pretty good at decorating for holidays, although I’ve never put up outdoor Christmas lights myself.

          • Adam Black

Indoors. Ones I got up have been burned out for months. Lighting in here is awful.

          • stickfigurefairytales

Okay, that seems like it would involve fewer ladders and less ice, at least.

          • Adam Black

            Il turn up the A/C

    • Hey Adam

      Doing any better today?

      • Adam Black

Maybe a little. Often hard to tell till after the fact.

        • stickfigurefairytales

Were you able to get any of your stuff in the end?

          • Adam Black

            All of it.
            Been mostly useless since

          • stickfigurefairytales

I’m really glad you got it at least, though! And I wish you much rest and rejuvenation.

          • Adam Black

Thanks. I was expecting more relief from solving a 6 year problem.

    • Saxon_Brenton

      Hi.

  • Justin White

what happened to his mind? who is he now? could it have to do with what he said about being a weak little boy who was picked on?
