441 Comments on The Young Protectors: Engaging The Enemy Chapter Three—Page 97

One-handed, even. Go Spooky! 🙂

So! We launched the Patreon Page on Tuesday night, and we’re already at $1809.55/month with 153 Patrons! In just 72 hours, that’s 1/4 of the way to letting me focus on comics full-time, 2/3rds of the way to guaranteeing 2 pages of The Young Protectors per week, and only $191 away from hitting the first Milestone Goal (penciled pages for all Patrons!). You all are AMAZING! Thank you so, so much!

I wrote a thorough Q&A in the notes under the comic on the previous page — most questions you might have will be answered there. And there are already a bunch of folks who have a blue, silver, or gold YP badge added to their Disqus avatars in the comments section. If you see once of these folks, please join me in extending my thanks for directly supporting the making of this comic! And please also send out a special thanks to those exceptionally generous backers who are on the Leaderboard of Awesome page (which I will work to make prettier over time). You all ROCK!

If you haven’t already, please go take a look at the video on my Patreon Page and consider becoming a Patron. I’ve already got some great (and sexy) sneak preview art lined up to show y’all which I think you’ll really like (and you don’t want to miss!). And keeping the momentum for this, especially in the first week, will make it much more likely we’ll hit the Milestone Goals which will mean being a Patron will just get better and better. 🙂

We had our seventy-ninth bonus page in a row on Wednesday! And thanks to your generous donations, and in addition to our regular Saturday updates, we’ve got three more bonus pages “in the bank”: on Wednesday, January 21st (page 98!), Wednesday, January 28th (page 100!), and the last one (page 102!) will be on Wednesday, February 4th!

And even though I had removed the donation bar I’d been using previously from every page on this Web site, one of you still managed to make a donation with it today! O_O I don’t know how y’all did it, but let me extend special thanks and big hugs to Mary C. for their super-generous $25 donation, and a tip of my hat as well to your powerful cyber-ninja skills. I’ve now completely uninstalled the plugin that created that bar, so hopefully there will be no more confusion! 😀 Everyone who would like to support this comic directly (and make it so I can keep releasing it at 2 pages per week after February 4th), should go to

Alex’s Patreon Page

That’s where the party is now. 😉

So! The Platinum Priestess gets a shot in, but Spooky tells the team everything is under control. Is it really?

Tune in this Wednesday to find out! Hope to see you there!

If you particularly enjoy any of these pages and use Facebook, please click the Like button on that page. It’s useful to know what’s working and it helps me get the word out!
  • syllibub

    Shit, son.

    • stickfigurefairytales

Congratulations, sylli! (Hey, you changed your name!)

      • syllibub

I did! Tweaked the spelling a little. Uh…new year, new me?

  • DC

    stay focused guys

  • You tell ’em Commander!! Of course Spooky has him. He’s SPOOKY JONES!!

  • syllibub

Did Sircea shoot between them on purpose? It doesn’t look like either Gordon or Kyle had to really move to avoid her attack. She might be buying time as well.

    • stickfigurefairytales

      Hmm, an interesting notion.

      • syllibub

Or maybe her eyesight’s going. *ducks magic beam*

    • EyeDontNo

Saw a weakness, shot randomly to keep her opponents off-center, will aim on the next shot. Will Tsu and Red combine forces to create a wall of steam to hide their location? Only Alex knows!

      • syllibub

Oh nice, so it could serve a tactical purpose! Wall of steam would be pretty cool, actually.

        • Tyler Griffin

EH, Wall of Steam works against you as much as them. Now everyone is blind. There’s probably a better way.

      • stickfigurefairytales

I agree with syllibub – that sounds really cool!

    • Or she’s determined not to get wet since it looks like Tsu had to move the most. I mean she already had her cape burned. She’s not about to have her hair drenched.

(I started to say she just leapt and fired, but it’s been covered)

      • syllibub

I don’t know why I had the impression that she must have done it intentionally, since taking a quick, random shot is the obvious thing to do once she has an opening. I guess it just looked weirdly precise to me!

        • davefragments

I think that she is so angry that the first chance she got to shoot anywhere, she took it. She’s more worried about that portal opening.

        • I don’t know if she could see much beyond the fire and was hoping that shooting in their general direction would cause them to scatter?

        • D. Garrett

it could be fluke effect happening. if he has juice left.

      • Tyler Griffin

Well, can you really blame her? No self respecting Diva is gonna put up with that. Bad enough the cape got burned, but getting the hair wet? Oh, HELLLLLLL, naw.

    • Saxon_Brenton

Small possibility that she genuinely tried to fry them, but couldn’t aim straight from having the Commander continuing to psychically stomp around in her headspace.

  • stickfigurefairytales

Don’t get hit by the beam of light! It’ll probably turn you into a newt!

    • Cydney Sabin

      Don’t worry. They’ll get better.

  • Saxon_Brenton

And even though I had removed the donation bar I’d been using previously
from every page on this Web site, one of you still managed to make a
    donation with it today!

[Amused look] Someone has been sneaky.

  • Sapfo

    Good morning!
Page seems to be up so fast today 😀

    • stickfigurefairytales

      It sure was!

    • morning sapfo *goes back to sleep*

      • stickfigurefairytales

        Sleep well, Doki!

      • Sapfo

        Night Dear Doki.

    • Morning, Ms. Sapfo. Yes it does. But isn’t that the way when you’re not looking?

      • Sapfo

But… I had stuff to say and things to do in the camping. And now… nothing. But the big news I’ll get passports next week.

        • There are things to say on this page though!

Yay for passport! Hope the picture came out okay. 😀

          • Sapfo

Dont know until next week, but there is reason for getting a passport, like traveling 😀
Alex I hope you are going to be a Ycon this year. Would really like to meet you there 😀

          • Traveling is very good.

          • Sapfo

            I do love it!

          • I’ll be there. Already booked my booth. 🙂

            http://webcomics.yaoi911.com/alex-woolfson-convention-schedule/

          • Sapfo

            See you there 🙂

          • YAY! Big VIP party this year, eh Sapfo? Cannot wait… is it September yet?

          • Be lovely to see you again there! 🙂

          • Alex, jealous of the TCAF appearance. I want to badly go to that one day… maybe a goal for next year… It always looks so amazing & Toronto is lovely!

          • It’s a great experience. Very expensive for me with the international travel and shipping, but so many interesting and awesome people there. So much fun!

  • Holly

I MISSED THE CAMP COMPLETELY! 🙁

Also I love how Commander is like “WHAT THE HECK DID YOU I JUST TELL YOU?!”

    • stickfigurefairytales

Aw, sorry, Holly. Glad you’re here now, though!

    • *hugs holly goes back to sleep*

      • Holly

        …she won’t let go.

        • justkeepondriving

HA! Literally lol’ed at this. Good one 😉

    • I did too… was watching Psycho Pass… ;__;

      • Holly

        FREAKING LOVE PSYCHO PASS

      • Sapfo

NO NO NO NO! I can not accapt this change of Avatar. I did not even relize it was you. Do you know what Danish is going to say to this? She is going to freak out! XD

        • It’s the only way to see the silver YP logo… too light otherwise XD It’s still the same essentially… hehe

          • (I am also sending out a version with a dark border. I didn’t think you needed it with this avatar, but if you ever decide to use a lighter one, I’ll hook you up with a dark bordered version. 🙂 )

          • I’m gonna shock Sapfo now. Not a single freak from me xD
It’s not that different, and I actually rather like it, also with that new little addition in the corner. Who else could that Cain-cat be but Starr?
No, a whole new icon and it would have been a different matter *lol*

          • Sapfo

Well you look pretty with a bit of silver, both in you avatar and on your feet 😉

  • ’tis merely a flesh wound.

    *goes back to sleep*

    • Holly

      DOKI IS SCARING ME!

      • Klaus

But it really is a flesh wound.

      • Sorry, I was really tired…..like really really really tired.

    • Monty Python… nice 😉

  • I love it! Commander continues to beat up two minions at once. Ambidextrous she is. Punching one, kneeing the other. This is why she’s the Commander

    • syllibub

Commanda Amanda deserves her own theme music!

      • Holly

        Who says she doesn’t already?!

      • Someone create this STAT!!

    • She rules.

    • justkeepondriving

AND she’s sending telepathic instructions to her team! Talk about multi-tasking…

  • syllibub

I really like the angle in panel one — it’s a very dynamic, clever way of getting a broad view of the action besides the usual sort of “panning out” shot. So cool!

  • Alt+F7

Woo, go spooky! keeping Anni tied up despite the injury.

  • Sapfo

I think it is intressting that Kyle, Spooky and Gordan are three charathers with a color. Gordan blue, Spooky green and Kyle red. Makes me wonder if the others also have a color like this?

    • Saxon_Brenton

Hmm. Well, on a design level that is kind of what I’d expect from a superhero comic: all the heroes and villains have distinctive costumes (while those poor jobbing minions are all stuck in back robes…)

However Alex also seems to have put some effort into the way the special effects for each individual and/or ability work (witness his comments way back when on how he imagined an invisibility effect for when Red Hot running around in Hong Kong that was distinct from most other invisibility effects in comics.) Most of Spooky’s magical SPX seems to be green, but even then there are variations: that sparky/electrical effect for his ectoplasmic grapplers is quite nifty. Even the way Commander’s telepathic communications being ‘inked’ in blue rather than black is a subtle but distinctive effect.

That said, back during the ‘here, let me change your clothes with these not-at-all-hentai tentacles and then transport you off to Hong Kong scene in chapter 1, the colour scheme of Priestess’ magic seemed to be a light blue rather than the silvery white she uses here. I’m going to assume that like Spooky, the exact magical spell she casts may have slightly different SPX. Nevertheless, now that you mention it, I am wondering whether her blue spells might be visually indistinct from Tsunami’s water attacks.

      • Sapfo

Reading your comment I started to think about the poor minions. Maybe they are not stuck in black robes. Maybe it is some kind of Hide and reveal thing going on. and soon thouse robes are going so flash open and under it they are like beautiful multicolored butterflies, or ninja robot pigs. I am still holding out for that one 😉

Been watching a documentary on the comic beginning. Much one knows, but at the same time very informative. Superman look came from the creators intresst in bodybuilders clothes and bodies XD

        • Soirbleu

“Beautiful multicolored butterflies, or ninja robot pigs” under black hiding robes.

          WOAH. :: is impressed::

To you, I give all the upvotes. And hugs. And my only comment tonight, for I was on my way to bed.

        • Tyler Griffin

Pigs in Santa Costumes riding sleighs pulled by goats wearing ugly christmas sweaters?

          • davefragments

I think there is a book with characters like that. Terry Pratchett maybe?

          • You’re probably thinking of “Hogfather”.

          • davefragments

Except he used boars to haul the sleigh. That’s a fun story.

  • Zaneta McDonald

    Go Spooky! Don’t give up!

  • davefragments

I think that Sircea is going to throw the Keys to the Kingdom like a football right into the middle of where the portal used to be.
Either that or that odd dirt circle on the ground.

  • TwilightDreamer

good boy Spooky! You can do it!!

  • Saxon_Brenton

Okay, that’s it for me. I got back to Sydney late last night and have really got to go to the supermarket to buy some food.

    • May the Force be with you. I always find shopping a trial of endurance.

  • Lillihandra

That’s our Spooky! Pay attention where attention is due, you two. PP isn’t going to defeat herself. Well, maybe she will. She *is* a villain after all. HOWEVER, it is unlikely and Spooks can take care of himself.

  • D. Garrett

i knew spooky was a badass!

  • Yes! Go, Spooky! … And for someone who spent a year in a hell dimension, and later some demon hunting, I have a sad feeling this might just be a ‘little bite’ compared to what he’s tried before without losing magical focus.

So Tsu managed to dodge the ‘shot’ from PP. Good thing that water was behind him because it looks like it blocked the impact, blocking it from hitting anyone – Amanda or Fluke – behind them.
At least I hope the water took the hit, so I’ll go with that until the next page tells for sure >.>

  • AseretZone

Alright, I knew he’d be able to handle him! And also that he’d yell at them to focus if he noticed they were distracted. XD
Seriously, guys. Focus on your own target, or it’ll all fall apart! She’s dangerous even without weapons!

  • davefragments

This is going to be a long battle. I wonder if and when they will notice that behind the scenes several YP’s are fooling with their human sacrifice chamber?

    • Klaus

      Who? All are otherwise occupied.

  • D. Garrett

hah. anni thought he was free only to find himself still bound and suspended by a wounded spooky using one hand. awesome.

and the first team upset / challenge was handled pretty well.

  • Interesting to see how well Spooky and Commander both can split their focus so well. Spooky’s got a nasty blade in his thigh (that is going to leave a nice scar, and the thigh muscle is probably going to need some rehab therapy) and is keeping Annie up there (is it my imagination or are those bonds also squeezing a bit?), Commander’s is in contact with Mitch, fighting off multiple minions, and in contact with the rest of the team as well.

Commander’s come a long way since having to close her eyes in order to read Spooky.

    • Klaus

We know that Spooky can heal by magic. But we also know that he can do no other magic while restraining Duncan. (That shield must have been part of the same magic.)

  • D. Garrett

im worried. anni’s little pouches….whats he got in there? will he use that next against spooky? or against some other team member??? *pulls hair and bites nails while pacing lol (nervous laughter folks!)

edit: nvm spooky has his arms held back it seems now… whew!

    • Megan Staples

🙂 what has it got in its pocketses, precious?

    • Tyler Griffin

      We shouldn’t take any chances.
*Imitates the Commander’s mind voice* Spooky, just go ahead and undress him. Completely.

  • Megan Staples

Gladly I have joined the Patreon. It’ll be a lot easier to give you money now.

    • Thank you so much, Megan! I really appreciate it!

(And glad that you’re finding it easier this way. 🙂 )

  • Derkins

I had unwavering faith, Spooks! No, really. And is it just me or does Duncan look a bit shocked that didn’t work? :3

    • Tyler Griffin

I think so. I think Spooky almost lost it for a second in the last page, but has recovered somewhat, and I think that that is not at all what Duncan was expecting. He and PP still view the guys as children, I think, especially considering their little discussion a few pages ago.

  • Mary Klemzak

Oh wow this is getting awesomely epic!

  • Xalun K

CALLED IT. I knew Kyle and Tsunami would encounter PP’s power.

Damn I can’t wait to see the whole team on the same panel again. This split-up is driving me nuts! LOL

  • Klaus

Did I call it, or did I call it. The Commander reminds our heroes to stay on task.

  • Phew! Luckily, Sircea aims like a Stormtrooper – I wonder if that’s a side effect of whitish battle outfits…

    • Klaus

But stormtroopers shoot with unmatched precession. That is how the heroes know that that attack early in the first movie was made by stormtroopers.

      • timemonkey

Yeah, everything after that was putting on a show so they could follow them back to their base. They certainly had no problem gunning down the rebels in the opening scene or the Ewoks in the last movie.

  • Klaus

Until yesterday, that donation bar was was missing only on page 96.

I have long wondered what would happen if you used the donation bar on one of the earlier pages. Would that bar’s number change, or the current one? Too late to experiment now.

    • Interesting. Perhaps it was my caching plugin that left the door open…

  • Deliberate aim or not, I’m worried about where that blast from PP’s staff ended up. Did it punch through Tsunami’s water wall, and if not, did it scatter the wall enough that Tsunami’s going to have expend effort on gathering the water back together again?

    • Ooh, that’s a good question. Did it break his concentration and control of the water?

  • syllibub

Just noticed that Sircea’s staff is different — instead of five spikes it has two, and it’s flattened out. Does its form change depending on the kind of magic she’s using? It does seem like it would be easier to wield with less bulk.

    • John

Maybe it’s her ‘morning staff’ 🙂

I could well see her musing over which staff to use like Captain hook picking a hook out.

  • Sunfire

For a moment, I thought The Commander was doing an impossible kick.. Then I realised it’s her arm :p
She’s doing a great job keeping the team cohesion going – and so is Spooky!

    • Tyler Griffin

Sad thing is, that I thought the same thing, but I’m so used tot he Rob Leifield era of comics that I didn’t even question it till you pointed out that it was a visual effect.

  • fujoshifanatic

Yaaas! And that is why Commander is in charge, and Spooky should be second in command–the level of multitasking those two are accomplishing is truly heroic! Hurry up and get back on task Kyle and Gordon, so Amanda can get back to mentally kicking PP’s ass while literally kicking minion ass! I so wish she could block Spooky’s pain as well, but he’s been through hell and back, so I’m sure he can take it. I’m just not sure I can until Wednesday! D-:

  • bronakopdin

    Spooky you’re so cool >////<
I want to take you on a date!

thank god nothing more happened! Good reaction there Gordon and Kyle 😀
luckily PP wasn't as good with aiming as Anni xD

  • Ant-Man

Spooky’s magic sorta makes it look like Duncan is being molested by magic tentacles.

    • John

I’m not the only one then. Good to know 🙂

      • Saxon_Brenton

Far from the only one. But you know, in this instance it’s a matter of suggestion and implication and getting the dirty-minded readers to mentally join the dots – rather than Spooky explicitly saying “Right, just for that little knife jab I’m gonna use this ectoplasm to squeeze your nadgers so hard you’ll be singing soprano for the rest of your life.”

It’s kind of like the line “A thing’s a phallic symbol if it’s longer than its wide” from the Melanie Safka song ‘Psychotherapy’.
Hmm… Okay, the scansion is a bit rough, but try this:

        It’s suggestive of a tentacle
        – all wriggling and lewd –
if it holds someone in its grip
        – and the viewer thinks that’s rude

        • Some very nice poetry there, Saxon. 🙂

        • John

Bravo! Encore! Encore! *throws rose onto stage*

        • Klaus

I don’t remember who wrote it, but:

Every thing is either concave or -vex
and therefore has to do with sex.

    • Tyler Griffin

Well, I personally don’t see the molestation in THIS particular image. It looks more to me like the tentacles have Duncan around the shoulders, arms, and thighs. But, ya know, after that shurikin bit, *I* would be sorely tempted to switch spells to “Evard’s Spiked Tentacles of Forced Entry” courtesy of Order of the Stick

      • Another OotS fan? Who is your favorite character? I personally love Belkar. ^_^

        • Tyler Griffin

Belkar is fun, but up until recently he was a little too one dimensional to be my favorite, though I’m enjoying seeing him get some depth here lately. I dunno, honestly, I liked Elan’s genre savvy Dad more than most of the main characters. They are all fun, but he gets points for being a villain mostly just because villains get to have more fun.

          • Tyler Griffin

And being a gay guy and all, his flair for theatrics doesn’t hurt either 😉 😛

          • Belkar has had some great lines. But yeah, Elan’s dad…kind of a shame he is one of the bad guys.

I also like the beast that cannot be seen because that has to wait until the big reveal and has to travel with the darkness umbrella.

  • Pikinanou

Wow, I’m so eager to know what happens next that I’m about to fall off my chair! I’ve gotta find a way to buy this comic XD

  • WarGoddess

Lookit Duncan so helpless and struggling. It’s so cute!!!!! 😀

Edit: *Pinches his cheeks* Whooo underestimated his young adversaries? Whooo? Whoooooo? Ahh!!!! We don’t throw projectiles at our fans, no we don’t! No we don’t!!! Now who’s a bad boy? 😀

    • Tyler Griffin

You are one of those really cruel Umbridge types who loves everything sweet and frilly but should never EVER be put in charge of the prisoners, arent’cha 😉 😛 lmao

  • Jose O. Gonzalez Lopez

Awww I think duncan is enjoying it. Also I HAVE SEEN ENOUGH HENTAI TO KNOW HOW THIS IS GOING TO END

  • davefragments

I am laying around in a Saturday morning and I wondering about opening my eyes or just going back to bed . . . and
where’s the other “red ball” from “Lunchtime in the oriental flower market with Annihilator” and if it shuts down Kyle does the red thing have enough power to squelch a Laampros?
I say that (#1) because in less time than it takes to soft boil an egg, Sircea is going to see the meddling at the human sacrifice cage and at that point, I think that she triggers the spell a few minutes early. That opens the portal and there is a bigger pitched battle that requires the military (total dunces about magic) to intervene with the “magic stopping device” and it all devolves into a fist fight with a giant Laampros. Who I guess is more like a pissed off bear than a ninja.
Or (#2) because TYP get captured and the gate is opened and then the military shows up, stops all magic and no we have Kyle to talk down his “absentee” father Laampros. While (of course) saving his very cute father figure Duncan. (( think I’d need a few hours of therapy over that, maybe)
Or (#3) Laampros marches through the portal all totally angry and blustery and hauls Sircea back with him because “I just don’t want all those “silly humans shrieking up and pretty-ing up and fancify-ing my hell domain with their decorators, hairdressers, etc” . . . think of something like a “Waylon and Madam” on fiery steroids or a “Priscilla Queen of the Desert” vibe or a Todd Crisley (now that was mean of me) . . . Or the dramatic fight seen at the end of “To Wong Fu” ? ? ?
I think I better get out of bed now.

  • The Patreon just hit its first milestone. 🙂

    • Saxon_Brenton

      Yay.

We will get this webcomic financially self-supporting.

      • I sure hope so! Right now its’ just awesome that we’ve passed 2/3 of the wait to secure page twice a week. Should be doable to pass that milestone before the current bonus page buffer runs out *crosses fingers* 😀

        • First job today after I finish my tax return is make some Project Wonderful ads for the square ad slots at the bottom of Alex’s post, because with any luck we’ll hit the target to remove the banner slot. Not that I actually mind that ad, but I’d rather Alex didn’t *need* the income from it.

      • You are all so awesome. 🙂

    • Tyler Griffin

I wanna sign up, but I gotta set down ad read some more about how the whole shebang works. I basically need to make sure that my donation comes out on a payday, or the day after so that I don’t have to worry about forgetting about it.

      • Alex has set a very low starter level for rewards for individual patrons, and you can donate less than that if you just want to support the comic and the group milestones. So one thing you could do is set up on the lowest level, and then increase it later once you’ve seen how it works, if you wanted to donate more. That’s what I’ve done, since I’m new to Patreon.

        • Tyler Griffin

Actually I’m completely comfortable with most of the lower levels of donation. I work as a machine opeartor in a factory environment, and exist from paycheck to paycheck. I am easily able to support something like this, I just have to engineer my cash flow. 😉

          • It’s the “engineering the cash flow” bit I’m using an initial low amount to test, although in a different situation to you. The Patreon FAQ does go into detail about when the money should be taken, but I want to run it for a couple of months to see how reliable it is. (And check that it actually does take and doesn’t trigger fraud prevention on my card, as some other things do, not that I’m looking at you here LiveJournal…)

          • Tyler Griffin

Yeah, no. My normal procedure is to agree to automatic deductions for a bill, or whatever, then go by the bank and make sure that the teller has the account scheduled to pay subscriptions/automatic transwers for the day after payday, regardless of the date recieved. That way when I start my workweek and look at my account balance on Mondays, I know that’s how much money I actually have.

Netflix, Car and Insurance drafts, Hulu, and a couple of other odds and ends are all on this set up and it *USUALLY* works greatl

          • No problem with wanting to see how it works. I’ve been pledging for a while now for two other creators and they are VERY consistent with the system automatically processing on the first. They send out an email reminder too for which creators and how much you’re pledging, and I actually write down everything in a budget list as a reminder for when things are coming out / paydays 😉

      • Thank you, Tyler!

This’ll be my first month with Patreon, but I think other folks will have a similar question and this is what Patreon’s FAQ says about when the pledge gets charged, if your pledge is less than $100:

You won’t be charged until the 1st of the month and you have the ability to edit/delete your pending pledges up until the 1st of the month before we begin to charge patrons.

If your pledge is $100 or more they say this:

Woah! Thanks so much for your support 🙂

We implemented escrow for all pledges equal to or in excess of $100. You will NOT be charged again at the end of the month. Once we begin processing pledges on the 1st of the month, we will transfer your credit to the Creator you’re supporting and you will receive an email notification of your successful pledge! For all future months, you will be charged on the 1st of the month!

        So hopefully that’s helpful. 🙂

        • Tyler Griffin

It is actually. Thanks for saving me the research time!!

  • D. Garrett

even in the heat of battle everyone’s hair is still great. *so envious.

  • Kate G

Hey, why doesn’t my hair look this good when I’m running? (Wait, I run? With MY ASTHMA?! Okay, we’ll correct this to doing my HIIT workouts which have been severely lacking as of late.) I need some tips from these guys to keep my hair looking this good.

And, is it just me or does Anni look like he’s in a rather compromising position? His crown jewels are REALLY exposed. Poor Anni, I hope no one can fly…………………

    • Tyler Griffin

Well, in there defense, Tsu and Kyle have very sensible short cuts, Fluke and Spooky have theirs encased, and Duncan’s is pulled back. Commander and Sircea are the only two with glorious free flowing locks. And even Commander’s seems to be mostly just whipping around with her movements. So, that just leaves Sircea, and you know she put on some sort of Maybaline/Redkin styling spell this morning for the big day.

      • justkeepondriving

Haha, cosmetics of the future- the new styling spell by L’Oreal, because you’re worth it. XD

      • Kate G

I imagine it’s probably a Big Sexy Hair (for big voluminous hair) and Redken (to keep it touchable) combo. HA HA HA!

PP is super bad ass, so she might have used an Urban Decay spell for makeup. I imagine she super slicked on Perversion eyeliner. Not that she would need a spell for that eyeliner anyway as it is the most waterproof stuff I’ve ever found. I wore that stuff to my grams’ funeral and it was the only piece of my makeup that survived the three hour massacre of tears (the memorial, funeral and luncheon.) It also survives a full day at a water park where I spend all day on the water slides getting drenched. I don’t think she’d need to spell that eyeliner. Spell everything minus the eyeliner. HA!

    • Klaus

Three parts ordinary hair gel to one part Portland cement.

      • Kate G

        HA HA HA HA HA!

    • Tyler Griffin

Ectoplasmic boxing gloves and a punching bag? I’m sorry. That’s terrible

  • Tyler Griffin

I just had a thought!! Now that we know for certain that Mitch likes guys, can we revisit that little filler bit where the boys discovered the fanfictions of themselves and re-discuss the odds/possibility that that was Mitch’s on DeviantArt page they stumbled onto by accident? >:D

    • Darkanimefox

That would have been hilarious. What kind of pairings do you think he would have drawn if he did make some? Or maybe he would have just done solo pictures.

      • Tyler Griffin

Honestly, I don’t think that we’ve had enough of a chance to get to know Flyboy yet to make any kind of guesses as to who he ships, or want’s to ship with.

    • I don’t think it was, because Mitch seemed surprised when he sneaked in to look at it. But as Darkanimefox says, that would be hilarious. 🙂

      • Tyler Griffin

Yeah, I don’t think it was either. But it was really fun bit of speculation way back when, when we were still debating Mitch’s sexuality. Now that we have one confirmed, I just thought it was worth revisiting the idea for amusement’s sake 😀

  • Klaus

The part of the spell that allows Laampros to come to earth is done, and he will arrive soon. The part that is now ruined was to limit what he could do once here.

    • Tyler Griffin

That is a very interesting take. Care to elaborate? Not disagreeing, just curious what has convinced you?

      • Klaus

I am not convinced. It was just a thought. Add “What if ..” to taste.

        • Tyler Griffin

Gotcha. I could kind of see it. After all, they seem to have successfully conjured the key. But I just assumed that the next step was the sacrifice to activate the portal so that the key could be actually used. However, I could definitely see the possibility that simply conjuring the key is enough. Although that would seem to me to be a horrific oversight on the part of the folks who designed those keys in the first place.

          • The sacrifice is indeed an essential component of the keys being used here.

  • D. Garrett

regarding workouts, i wonder how much longer fluke and amanda can keep up this high level of physical activity. and (for the whole team) how much does using their powers drain them mentally and physically?

    • Klaus

Fluke is the most physically fit member of the team.

    • Tyler Griffin

I dunno. That is a good point. I really loved the way the author explained “Magic” in the Eragon book, “It requires the same amount of energy to do something through magic as it would through mundane effort.” And while that doesn’t exactly appyl directly when your power is to generate flames, or move vast quantities of water, it is a handy thing to keep in mind.

      • D. Garrett

if that explanation is true, then spooky should be exhausted soon because he is doing the magic equivalent of lifting and restraining anni. a much heavier and larger guy.

        • Tyler Griffin

Yeah. It’s important to note that that is just how Chris Paoloni chose to deal with powering magic in his world. It doesn’t translate perfectly into any other setting; as your observation proves. However, I have found that that it proves a very useful standard for how to play magic/meta power wielding characters in RP’s and helps to keep in mind when reading stories like this.

        • Tyler Griffin

Actually, by the Eragon standard, Mitch should be dead by now. He’s flying. Which would require the same amount of energy as to constantly be jumping to whatever elevation he is maintaining. SO yeah, it’s a very imperfect standard.

          • D. Garrett

so given what uve just said, we dont know their energy / endurance limits so far in this au. i will assume spooky and the rest of the team will alert amanda when they feel themselves near tap-out point. or maybe she is already aware of the teams limits from training, and we as readers are just unaware.

  • Klaus

This is a message for Alex. It really belongs on Patreon, but as I have found no way to comment on Patreon without my full name being revealed, I post it here.

In the upper right corner of this page: https://www.patreon.com/creation?hid=1512323 there is a text that looks like a copy of the beginning of a text shown elsewere. The cut off is very unfortunate. It gives the impression that YP is only for female readers.

    • Niggle

That is an unfortunate cut off point. Good catch. A little rewording is in order.

    • Yeah. I noticed that. The full bio says:

I write action/thriller comics featuring heroes who just happen to like other guys. They are intended for women and other cool folk to enjoy and you can read them for free online as webcomics.

But it’s truncated in a weird way and there’s no direct link to the full bio (which I’ve just sent them a feature request for.)

I’ve rewritten it in a way that, while no less awkward when truncated, at least avoids that exclusionary impression. (Which, since the whole point of me saying that is to be inclusionary is especially unfortunate.)

Thanks for the heads up, Klaus!

  • davefragments

If you look at the first panel, the commander is between Tsunami and Kyle but a number of feet behind them. Sircea’s blast is between Tsunami and Kyle and aimed at the Commander. She didn’t shoot at the water because it’s already broken the ring. She didn’t shoot at Kyle because she’s got her staff and is holding off Kyle’s fire. The person giving Sircea the most trouble is the Commander. the instant worth of thought to “Stay focused” gave Sircea a chance to blast away while keeping Kyle’s fire from torching her – Clever lady and a true fighter.

    • Saxon_Brenton

Oh, that’s a very good catch Dave.
So I guess it’s now the case that the collective we of the peanut gallery have to speculate about whether the Priestess actually hit the Commander, and how badly (or not) she’s been hurt, huh?

      • davefragments

I’ll speculate more tomorrow. It’s a holiday and speculation is free on holidays.

        • That is soooo true!
Speculation calories are totally free on holidays! You can speculate as much as you want and you won’t get fat on a holiday, because speculation doesn’t count. I agree with Mr. Saxon. Good catch!

    • That’s what I’ve been wondering. I really hope the water broke some of that shot so it don’t hit Amanda.

      • davefragments

I went back to page 91 and tried to match up the landmarks.
I think that the glass box with the human sacrifices are also back there, too. I’m not absolutely certain about that.
The sacrifices might be on the opposite side and I’m turned around. I’m going to have to see another page.

      It would seem so.

        • syllibub

          • Of course she would never be so undignified as to stick her tongue out as she slamdunked!

          • Sexxxxxxy….

          • Tell that to Michael Jordan.:P

          • oooookkkkaaaay…. is that during or after the underpants commercial?

          • Heck if I know.

          • Sapfo

Did you know that Häck is slang for butt in Swedish XD

          • Why does that not surprise me?

          • davefragments

I watched 8 hours of underwear commercials on Sunday to avoid football but then I heard there was an under inflated ball controversy. Football with under inflated balls. . . who would have thought!

          • The hashtags it created on twitter was funny.
            My fave was #TomBradyHasSaggyBalls

          • davefragments

I missed that one. I got to remember it.

Le Petit Journal in France did another episode mocking Fox News and they had two Fox reporters in Paris running away from Islamic terrorists (Everyone with a beard, including red headed men) in fear and at the end they see a Turkish themes restaurants and dash away saying “Oh Mon Dieu a Cous Cous” and I about fell over in hysterical giggles.

          • The #DeflateGate is also pretty good, but the other one was/is still my fave.

          • davefragments

Every scandal is a “gate” since Watergate and Tricky Dickie got caught.

          • OK I love that.

          • Deflationgate… it’s the scandal for breakfast!

          • syllibub

Oh! Is that the connotation? I thought it just meant not hitting the rim of the basket…

            (what are sport)

          • Well it is! But well… Heck if I know.

          • syllibub

            *scratches head* Huh.

          • What are sports?

          • syllibub

            We just don’t know.

          • Nope. Such confusing confusion

          • stickfigurefairytales

A slam dunk is when a player jumps up to the basket and slams the ball into it. Swish does indeed denote making a basket without hitting the rim. ^_^

  • Mikayla Goodrich

    So about the Patreon rewards. (Longtime reader, first time poster. I adore YP.) I don’t normally donate. I don’t dig crow funded schemes that are open ended like that but I do dig crowd funded schemes like KickStarter and Patreon. So come payday, (See: Medical Bills, hospital visits, and monthly pay cycle.), I’m going to be signing up for the Patreon benefits. That said;

In the rewards offered did you consider more pages instead of less ads? Less ads doesn’t motivate me because I run with Ad Block Plus like all netizens ought in some form. (I know this makes ad driven sites cry but they don’t have to scrape internet herpes out of my computer when a malicious ad sneaks through. 🙁 ) The size of my contribution would definitely trend upwards if there were an option for more comics per week as opposed to removing ads that I never see, (and IMHO that no one ought ever see), anyway.

(Apologies if this is the wrong place to post this. I didn’t see a discussion option on the Patreon page though?)

    • Howdy Mikayla!

So glad to hear you’re enjoying YP. (Welcome to the Comment Section!) And thank you very much for considering becoming a Patron.

I’m definitely open to coming up with different Milestone Goals than removing ads. The Milestone Goals I posted were my first guesses about what folks might find appealing—and I do know the ads bug some folks (I get emails every now and then) and it seems like you, yourself, don’t care for them much either—but I’m totally open to coming up with different ones, if readers have more appealing suggestions. The nice thing about a Patreon campaign vs. a Kickstarter is that because it’s ongoing, you have time to make course corrections if that’s what’s in the best interest of the Patrons.

And I’d love to be able to offer even more pages a week as a Milestone Goal. Not only do I agree that it would be attractive for potential Patrons, frankly, I’d love to get this story out to y’all faster. There’s so much I want to show you and I want to show it all NOW! LOL.

But to create the kind of high-quality art you see on these pages takes a lot of time and effort, and after some experimentation, two pages a week seems to be our limit, at least a sustainable limit, and sustainability is the whole point of the Patreon project. There are some webcomics out there that can put out 5 pages a week and then some (David Willis’ excellent Dumbing of Age comes to mind) but for us, with the size of our pages, the amount of intense collaboration in our process (I’m a very involved editor), and especially the very high and detailed quality of the art, two pages a week is really our max to deliver reliably, week-in and week-out.

Now, if things really take off with the Patreon and I’m able to support myself with comics and writing alone, I could consider adding more creative work to my own plate. Perhaps additional prose short stories with the characters of YP—once the Kickstarter rewards are delivered, that feels pretty do-able. Extra pin-ups with guest artists for sure. Maybe I could even consider working with additional artists on a second ongoing comic (which feels much more daunting—but way down the line, could be possible, maybe.)

To be honest, an appealing thing about removing ads was that they seemed to offer benefit to y’all without putting a bunch more work on Adam and Vero’s already very busy plates. (Or mine, for that matter, which while I’m trying to balance comics and the day job is rather overflowing at the moment.) And there seems to be a certain logic in handing off the financial responsibility from unreliable ad income to steady Patreon income.

But I’m totally open to other suggestions if folks have better ones. Just let me know. 🙂

      • Eris, elder daughter of Nyx

I don’t have any suggestions for alternative rewards, but I don’t particularly care for the ad removal rewards either, but for a different reason: I don’t mind the ads. I run adblock, but not on this site, for two reasons. 1) I run adblock mainly to keep malware away, and I’ve never had any malware problems with the ads on this site 2) I want to support this site, and keeping adblock off is one way to do that, so I do it. I’d love to offer up suggestions on rewards, but the only currently offered reward I want is more updates, and I know that costs lots of money, so it can only come in at certain monetary segments. I’m a Patreon person mainly for More Updates. Although I’d be in favor of short stories, too. Anything with more story related content, really. ^_^

      • Klaus

Is Patreon income as reliable as all that? Anyone can cancel at any time.

        • SofiaT

I work for a non-for-profit and our fundraising strategy is currently focusing on regular giving (securing small monthly donations instead of making appeals for bigger donations a couple of times per year). Before that, we relied heavily on corporate sponsorship, which was not very sustainable because corporates can be quite fickle. And since we’re talking big amounts, losing one can be quite a blow in the budget.

There is of course an expected and inevitable attrition of monthly donors, but my job is to make sure that attrition is as small as possible and it all boils down to this: if donors are happy, they stay.

I expect that it will be the same with Alex’s Patreon. As long as the quality of the comics and the sense of community remains the same (or improves!), people will keep supporting them. Some folk may have to -understandably- stop now and then for financial reasons, but as the comic grows in popularity and becomes known to more people, other supporters will take their place. 🙂

          • Eris, elder daughter of Nyx

This is the way it is for me. I support the comic because I like the comic. I could stop supporting at any time, but unless I hit really dire financial straits or something really funky happened with the comic, I’m not going to. There’s a reason I started supporting this comic, and it’s going to be the same reason next month as it was this month was it was last month as it will be the month after next month and blah blah blah. I picked a donation amount that was sustainable for me, so it’s not a hardship for me to keep going with it. For me, the rewards (other than the comic keeping going) aren’t even the issue. I don’t mind them one way or the other, so I’m not going to stop donating if they aren’t shiny enough for me. So, thumbs up for this. ^_^

  • davefragments

    Oh Mon Dieu A Couscous

  • Wayne Small

So Alex how many chapters are left in the young protectors

    • There are 5 chapters in this arc (Kyle’s story) of The Young Protectors.

We all have our fingers crossed that we eventually get to see full stories for the other members of the teams. 🙂

  • davefragments

I spy with my own little eye — 10 gross of caps on Alex’s Tumblr.
I once had 6000 eight and a half by eleven inch 48 page brochures on high gloss paper accidentally delivered to my office at work. It was 120 boxes, fifty brochures stacked 25 by 25 and existed on a 6 foot by 6 foot pallet.
I know your pain, Alex, I know your pain.
    wink, wink

    • There is both pleasure and pain. The caps looks great. 🙂

      • davefragments

        It’s like Christmas, sort of.

Just stopping by to check in – I’ll be here properly in a little while!

    • Hello!

      • stickfigurefairytales

        Hi AJ! How are you?

        • Doing pretty could. You?

          • stickfigurefairytales

I’m good! I got home yesterday from dogsitting/housesitting over the weekend, and then on Thursday I’m about to turn around and go housesit/catsit for some friends of mine for this coming weekend.

          • Wow, busy busy. But sounds fun.

          • stickfigurefairytales

Yep! I only had one dog to take care of, but I’ll have a bunch of cats. My friend fosters cats and kittens for this animal rescue group, and she has several cats who are still waiting to be adopted, plus two cats that actually belong to her.

          • Wow, lots of kitties, I hope they like each other. But lots of fuzzies to pet and snuggle

          • stickfigurefairytales

I think they do get along. Also she just got an emergency placement of a kitten that apparently has frostbite on all four feet. 🙁

That one is going to be kept in the spare bedroom, away from the other cats until it’s gotten used to the place and can be introduced carefully to the others. I’m going to go visit tomorrow and find out what I’ll need to do to take care of that one (and all the others, but that should be pretty standard).

          • davefragments

oh, bummer. That kitty needs some attention.

          • stickfigurefairytales

Yeah, I’m glad that it’s been rescued now. My friend texted me to ask if I’d feel comfortable taking care of it or not (in which case she’d ask the rescue group to make other arrangements), but I said that I’d be happy to.

          • davefragments

            good

          • …… “shut up and give me that kitten!”

          • stickfigurefairytales

            Hee hee, pretty much.

          • The poor puddy tat.

          • stickfigurefairytales

I know! Poor thing. But at least now it has a warm safe place to be and people to take care of it.

          • Indeed indeed! Lucky!

          • davefragments

I’m not a cat person and I can just see trying to handle a gang of cats. They would be over fed and leashed.

          • stickfigurefairytales

Well, I definitely won’t be trying to take them outside. 🙂

          • davefragments

Didn’t think about that. But then, Dogs you have to take outside. My only pet was a dog.

I’m not completely sure how this event is going down, but if it’s anything like a Danish government’s line of speeches, there will always be some who make you cringe and go ‘whut??’

        • davefragments

Typical SOTU but about 6 news sites had video streams and many did twitter relays of it.
MSNBC had a “dial poll” running on BING and all the traffic always gags the internet for a few seconds when the talking heads start to bore.

oh that is good! hope you feel better soon.

          • davefragments

          • stickfigurefairytales

            Hope you feel better soon!

          • Me too, I am always grouchier when I am in pain when I don’t have something to distract me.

          • stickfigurefairytales

You could always play more Ace Attorney…? (btw, let me know if you want any help getting past the part you’re stuck on)

          • T-T the DS had an issue and I hadn’t gotten to a point where I thought I should save and now I am going to have to start the whole case over!

          • stickfigurefairytales

Oh no! How far had you gotten?

          • …..not very -_- but I really don’t look forward to going through the conversation with Miles #2-3 fan (Pheonix of course being #1)

          • stickfigurefairytales

            V. true.

          • D. Garrett

i had one not long ago too. it was a bitch! plugging my ears helped when showering. mine was outer ear only so i didnt need an oral antibiotic.

          • There is pressure build up in my eye and soreness on the right side of my throat. -_- and headaches

          • D. Garrett

wow. sorry. i really hope u feel better soon.

          • Well all I can do now is let the meds work

          • D. Garrett

and get as much rest as possible. 🙂

    • stickfigurefairytales

      Good morning, Sapfo!

  • Morning y’all!
I actually made it to a camp. Due to either the internet being down or me in need of sleep, it’s been around 2 weeks since I really did that o_o *the horror of that thought*

  • Sapfo

So, for the lucky people who is getting a cape. Have you seen it? ^_^

    • davefragments

I think you mean “cap” and it’s up on Alex’s Tumblr

      http://alexwoolfson.tumblr.com

      • Sapfo

        Sorry, typo. But Yes 😀

        • davefragments

          January Christmas Time for Alex
Boxes to open along with a cute delivery man

          (now behave)

        • DemureDesire

But a cape would be cool. Maybe for next Kickstarter?

          • She keeps trying to steal mine

          • Sapfo

But it looks so pretty! All red 😀

          • I know. I know. 😀

          • Sapfo

But now you can crochet more

          • I theoretically could. But this a special cape.

          • Sapfo

I know. You did not make it. It was the magic of sticky

          • Nope the magic of our missing Jamie.

          • Sapfo

            It was Jamie? Sad

          • It was. And it is.

          • You know I may have to try though!

    • It is cute. Can’t wait to get mine 🙂

    • So very very lucky!

    • syllibub

They look really, really nice! Great details.

  • Terrell Penha

So, I guess I’m early for he campfire?

  • Pulls into camp after work snuggling picture *purrs*

    • Can I snuggle it too?

      • Oh yeah everyone can snuggle Winter Soldier Cain! Thank @DanishWolf:disqus though because it likely would not have happened if not for her! 😉

        • *snuggles WS Cain*

        • It was the first thing that popped up in my head as perfect for you when you asked for ideas 🙂

    • stickfigurefairytales

      Your picture is so cool!!!

      • I was so shocked it came today, thought Thursday/Friday at the earliest! I had a writing idea and was going to start it, but seeing the package threw all that out the window XD

        • stickfigurefairytales

Too much gleeful squealing to be done.

    • Sapfo

That was such a good drawing she made. And I liked that frame. But you can not hide any holes behind it 😉

      • It has a hanger built into the back (although scared it might drop!) so it’s staying safe on a bookcase!

        • Sapfo

I am happy for you anyway. It looks so good (and you got them both ;D)

          • I was wishing/projecting REALLY hard for both 😉 Sometimes it works…

  • Terrell Penha

telling friends about this comic right now

    • stickfigurefairytales

Yay! It’s so great and definitely deserves to be shared. 😀

    • Thank you. 🙂

  • *Yawns* Time where I have to go to and from the computer, so I can get ready for work, draws near. You know this means a page is coming soon xD

    • *hugs Danish* THANK YOU!!!

    • Sapfo

      Have a good day.

      • I just want to stay home and sleep. Coughing and havinga cold again, and it’s freezing and snow outside. I’m already looking forward to get home again *lol*

        • Sapfo

You can do it. You are a brave wolf and a little cold will not kick you down. (and you have to think about cv DX)
Think about tonight. You curl up and take it easy.

          • I know, and will be going, but I’m gonna whine a little bit about it first 😉

          • Sapfo

Smooch on you dear. Have a good day.

          • You too! Don’t hurt that toe any more during the fire drill… or freeze it off.

          • Sapfo

Well I dont want to lose that toe. It is very pretty in all it´s colors 😀

        • stickfigurefairytales

Poor Danish! Try to stay warm, love.

        • D. Garrett

take hot lemon tea in a thermos / travel mug if u can. it will be over b4 u know it. 🙂

  • Sapfo

BTW, today I am going to play Kyle at work… or maybe it is Tsunami. We are going to have a fire drill 😀

    • stickfigurefairytales

Tsunami is probably the better choice there.

    • syllibub

Are you planning to make it into something more than a drill?

      • Sapfo

All I am thinking is that I dont want to freez my ass of. It is snow outside D:

        • syllibub

I’m just saying it would be wonderfully ironic if you lit a fire for warmth.

          • Sapfo

I like fires. They are warm ^_^

          • syllibub

Yeah! So if they’re going to make you stand outside in the cold for a drill, there should at least be a fire…somewhere…so you don’t all freeze. Since the fire department’s going to be there anyway.

          • Sapfo

Oh there is going to be a fire, but we are going to put it out. That poor little fire dont stand a chance. It only just got life and we will put an end to it D,:

          • syllibub

            Tragically beautiful

  • D. Garrett

hey everybody! since i ate healthy for two whole days and 1 hour, thats 49 hours folks, i brought a big bowl of fruit. apples, oranges, pears, grapes (red and green) and bananas. (control phallic imagery please!) help yourselves.

    • stickfigurefairytales

Mmm, fruit! I’ll help myself to some grapes and a pear.

    • Which kind of oranges, apples? and are the grapes seedless?

      • D. Garrett

navel oranges, braeburn apples (my fav.) and seedless and seeded grapes.

        • What are braeburn apples?

          • D. Garrett

really delicious apples. not too tart or sweet. nice texture. i luv em!

            http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Braeburn

          • hmmmm, they look like the ones that are never crisp

          • D. Garrett

they r in between. not as crisp as granny smith, not as soft as golden delicious.

          • I prefer crisp apples

          • stickfigurefairytales

My favorites are Macintosh, which tend to be pretty crisp.

          • Pink Ladies are awesome! A bit sweet, a bit tart, and definitely crisp.

          • stickfigurefairytales

            So many delicious apples!

          • Yup! Fuji’s aren’t bad either, but so far, Pink Ladies are my favs.

          • D. Garrett

so are granny smiths ur fav? i think they are the most crisp. they r too tart to my taste tho.

          • I like the green ones. Are those also Granny Smiths? My head is getting a little fuzzy and I need to go to bed soon.

          • D. Garrett

yup. theyre green. hang on doki! page almost up.
            (if u can.)

  • Sapfo

And now camping ends for me. Work for me. have fun you all. ^_^

    • davefragments

      Take care, stay warm.

    • syllibub

Under no circumstances should you commit arson.

…Is what a moral, upstanding citizen would say.

      • HA!

        • davefragments

Rubbing two Croissants together does not start a fire!
          😉
          😉

          • Okay…….. erm…. three… three croissants!!!

          • davefragments

            oh mon dieu, a couscous

    • D. Garrett

kick ass at work. well figuratively… unless u just have to literally. heh. ^_-

    • 🙁 Boo to the work!

    • stickfigurefairytales

      Have a good day, Sapfo!

    • Have a great day! Try not to freeze during the fire drill!

    • Have fun playing with fire!

    • Adam Black

      No, no

      • Sapfo

        Yes, yes

  • Talking about pets below, and it made me think of this KS project that got launched about 9-10 hours ago. In that time it has reached more than 14,000% of the asked amount (you read that number correct).

It’s a card game, and if you haven’t heard about it yet there’s a good chance you will in the next days.
    https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/elanlee/exploding-kittens

    • Now I want it.
Damn you, Danish, and your fancy links.

    • D. Garrett

      yes!!! ty!

  • Page soon………..

    • D. Garrett

      yay!

    • DemureDesire

Ack! Glad I remembered to check. I was playing on Ravelry and lost track of time.

    • I’m gonna miss it by minutes, I guess. I leave in about 4 minutes xD

  • I always seem to get here moments before the page goes up.
Alex, are you doing this on purpose? Are you a wizard?

  • *everyone stares with super wide eyes at the web page, muscles tense*
    *staring intensifies*

    • Be vewy vewy we quiet. We’re hunting…um… um… screw it. We’re hunting wabbits. heheheheheheh 🙂

      • Maybe wexy wuperheroes?

        • Superhewoes!! We’re hunting superhewoes!

        • stickfigurefairytales

I think that would work better with a Daffy Duck speech impediment.

          • Tthththththuperheros

          • I didn’t watch a lot of cartoons. Sue me. >.>

          • stickfigurefairytales

            You get a pass. 🙂

          • davefragments

All cartoon characters have speech impediments.

          • stickfigurefairytales

Not all – just a lot of the Warner Bros. ones.

          • davefragments

The news characters on TV don’t but the old cartoons that used to show up on B&W tv’s and in movie theaters with balconies did talk funny.

          • stickfigurefairytales

Do you mean old b&w Disney ones or something not produced by either studio? I’d agree with you that the voices are weird, but they aren’t speech impediments exactly.

          • davefragments

I remember when ROGER RABBIT hit the screen that they talked about doing all the voices and Mel Blanc was one of those interviews. That’s where I got it.

Now Eric Cartman seems not to have a speech impediment but I do Eric when I mock politicians on the TV and he has a funky speech pattern.

          • stickfigurefairytales

Ah, the great Mel Blanc! Such a good voice actor.

  • Enjoy the page.. I have to leave now >.<
I'll be back in 10 hours to see it.

    • HAve a good day! Take care in the cold weather!

    • stickfigurefairytales

      Goodbye, Danish! We’ll miss you!

    • Have a good day at work!

    • Bye Danish! I wish we could all just win a ton of money and no working any longer!

  • Did Tsunami dodge that shot from PP or did it get him? I hope that isn’t something that wounded him and we find out later.

  • Kat Hedgecoth
