And… SCENE!

My computer is still dead but it’s now been handed over to the Apple Gods who have assured me that it shall live again. It still means I’m operating at 50%, but I was able to set up a temp computer with my shipping software so I could finally ship out all the pending orders from my store today. And now that I know I can ship stuff, I’ve decided to have a holiday sale! And it’s bigger than ever before! Use the code “YAOI911-HOLIDAY” at the checkout of my online store to get 20% off any order until January 1st. If you’ve been thinking of getting something for yourself or someone else, now’s a good time. 🙂

We had our seventy-fourth bonus page in a row on Wednesday and, thanks to your generous donations, and in addition to our regular Saturday updates, there will also be bonus pages on Wednesday, December 17th (page 88!), Wednesday, December 24th (page 90!), Wednesday, December 31st (page 92!) and an additional bonus page (page 94!) on Wednesday, January 7th! And we’re already at $225 towards the bonus page after that!

And while I still can’t get access to the previous donation records to be able to thank y’all personally yet, I should be able to do that next time! And in the meantime, please know, you’re all total SUPERHEROES to me!

Thank you all so much for your generous support!

Looks like Kyle took Spooky’s little speech to heart. So… is that how it’s going to go down? Are The Young Protectors going to win this, and no one gets hurt, and the good guys get to have their happy ending?

Tune in on Wednesday to find out! Hope to see you there! 😀

DING! DING! DING! DING! DING! DING! DING! Edit 12/15/14 10:59 PM: You’ve done it again! You’ve yet again blasted past the donation target below! That means that, thanks to your generous donations, and in addition to our regular Saturday updates, and bonus pages on Wednesday, December 17th (page 88!), Wednesday, December 24th (page 90!), Wednesday, December 31st (page 92!) and Wednesday, January 7th (page 96!), there will be an additional bonus page (page 96!) on Wednesday, January 14th! You all ROCK SO MUCH! THANK YOU! 😀

    Yay!

    • stickfigurefairytales

Darn it, Disqus wouldn’t load for me for quite a while!

      • Same.. and in comes the sneaky chihuahua once again 😉

        • Jakk Anthony Guzman

          LOL

        • Don’t be greedy D-Wolf. You probably tripped over all your virgins on the way to the computer and so Jakk nipped in. (That is called IRONY, LOL). You have a good day wallowing in all your past glory too!

      • Jakk Anthony Guzman

It was a fluke. I decided to check to see if the page was up.

        • stickfigurefairytales

Same here! I got really excited when I saw it was loading, but then it was so slow for me!

        • Congrats. You used the Danish Wolf method of virgin collection (falling accidentally on the computer and instantly become the first poster). Enjoy the glory Jakk!

          • Jakk Anthony Guzman

Thanks Chris. I couldn’t believe that no one had commented yet.

          • Sorry dude. I totally passed out mid-camp last night and didn’t get the page until waking up… I’m losing my touch. Take care. 🙂

    • Holly

      YAY JAKK

      • Jakk Anthony Guzman

Hey Holly!! Nice to hear from you again. 😀

  • Jen Roberts

I approve of ending this page with spandex-clad butts.

  • Terri Sutton

Something is going to go so utterly wrong.

  • You tell ’em Kyle!

    • Dear Admiral Jane,

The final panel of this page made us consider promoting you to Rear Admiral. Thank you for your service to our great Nation.

      Cordially,
      The Commander and Chief and
      The DOD and U.S. Navy.

  • Holly

Things the fates hate ARROGANT SPEECHES. Even if it is a hero. Kyle you have doomed us all.

    • silibub

He could use some of Mitch’s genre-savviness.

    • Soirbleu

He’s not saying that because he believes it. He’s saying it because he’s trying to make himself–and Fluke– feel better. It’s different with jinxes when it’s like that, because then it’s not hubris.

      • Holly

That’s a good point. Which is why I think PAUL and not Kyle will be hurt by those words.

        • Soirbleu

          🙁

        • Adam Black

cant Kill off the Black Guy. Too Stereotypical.
          Duncans gonna get it

  • silibub

None of us are going to get hurt.”

So should we start a pool for who sustains a mortal injury, or…?

    • Terri Sutton

Mitch. He does what the Commander orders him to do and he takes a hit.

      • Jen Roberts

Shhh! Don’t let Doki hear you say that!

        • Terri Sutton

I didn’t say he would die, just takes a hit.

          • No, no, NO!

*tears in eyes* Not MITCH! Not anyone for that matter.

      • Holly

NOT MITCH! I will curse the name Alex Woolfson if mitch gets hurt.

        I mean…I love you Alex. >_>

        • *hugs Holly* You and I will keep him safe yes?

      • silibub

I’m thinking Paul, myself, although it seriously could be anyone and still have a significant emotional impact. Hard to predict based on what we think might suit the story best.

        • Terri Sutton

I think Gordon would be the only one not to be in any danger. Arseholes are never in danger in stories unless they are the villain.

          • silibub

Haha! Unless he gets hurt because he hesitates, since he seems the most uneasy about his abilities.

        • stickfigurefairytales

This page definitely has me feeling nervous for Paul, but I agree with you that anyone (except maybe Gordon at the moment) would be a huge impact.

      • NOT MITCH!

    • DC

no one mortal injury and I don’t really want to nominate anyone hurt oh of course that is on the hero side

      • Terri Sutton

I don’t know whether to cheer you or boo you. C’mon take a guess.

    • Holly

Spooky taps into the pure magic and goes MAD .

      • D. Garrett

        ohnoes! not spooky!

      • silibub

I wonder if, should the ritual go far enough that Laampros shows up, the surge in arcane power will affect Spooky. It’s supposed to augment Sircea’s powers, but if Spooky “metabolizes” magic differently, what if it makes his grip on magic less stable?

        • stickfigurefairytales

          A very interesting question.

          • silibub

Although he did spend all that time in hell, so maybe he’s used to demonic influence.

          • stickfigurefairytales

            True.

          • Holly

I want to know more about Spooky’s time in hell

          • D. Garrett

that would be interesting and probably very scary.

          • Steven K.

From what was described, it sounds to me a couple thousand times worse than anything Duncan put Kyle through.

          • Steven K.

Being gang-raped at just-barely-13 by demons repeatedly for a year …..
At least that seemed to be what was intimated.

          • Jakk Anthony Guzman

Did he say he was gang raped? I just remember he saying that they messed with his mind.

          • Steven K.

If you read into what was said just a bit more – how they messed with his mind and sometimes got him thinking that he “actually liked it”, etc.

          • Steven K.

That’s one reason why I felt so traumatized about that whole thing.

          • Let’s not go there again, please.

          • Steven K.

If that’s what you did not intend was implied, I sure wish you had explicitly mentioned something to that effect back then – it would have saved me and a few others a great degree of emotional upset and distress – I still get uneasy when I think about it. I’ll certainly feel a lot better going forward if you are saying that this was not what you had intended!

          • Adam Black

            Whoa @Steven K.:disqus ,
That is more guiltrip , than I have heard from my own Jewish mother this year.

You cant blame the Creator for your own personal head-cannon ; especially for stories, that are probably not even written yet.

            Word-of-God’s are rare.

You shouldnt expect one, every time your mind goes further than the page.

You shouldnt guilt people for not giving you spoilers. We already have a massive spoiler that we wont be burying the gay heroes. You cant give away much more than that without killing all of the suspense.

Personally, I dont want any spoilers about that. Its unfair to everyone else.

Its wiser to simply accept that Hell is literally a hellish traumatic place. Thats kind of the Point of the metaphor of Hell. Youve read enough literature to know this.

Nobody wants you to suffer. But its unfair to blame other people for what you imagine about fantasy stories ( that may not even exist yet ) .

We know spooky survived ( imaginary person that he is ) and even thrived. Just like Kyle.

You are choosing to focus on the worst possible moments, and so miss the real message of overcoming tragedy , and resilience of the hero .

Thats the real message here. Heroes Overcoming bad things and bouncing back ( with help ) .

Thats the story @alexwoolfson:disqus wrote , and I am thrilled that I have the wonderful opportunity to read it.

( Although I really hope a future book has a happy relationship, maybe between Kyle and Mitch . )

          • Steven K.

But if that is what really happened, seems one can’t talk about it or mention it, or “go there” with the subject, even if it is the author that is the first to “go there”. If that isn’t what happened, I’m happy – very happy – to just let the subject slide by and never mention it again. Actually, I had decided not even to keep commenting for a very long time after that whole episode and what went down in the scene and during the discussion, as I was more upset and disturbed by the whole thing than you can imagine. How can something be mentioned as part of the story, but then people be forbidden to discuss it – or even try to clarify what did or didn’t happen, or what the author is intimating or not intimating what happened. If something horrendous did happen, we can’t “call a spade a spade” – and talk about the horrendousnesss of it? We have to repress all the horrible and sick feelings that such a thing engenders? It’s not just me. I had to save a young woman from totally freaking out and ending up in a very bad place over all that as well. Well, actually, we helped each other, but the feeling and the disturbances were very real for both of us. I’d rather have it be a “non-issue” – I’d rather be informed that what I had thought was really not the case, and so no need to continue to process the situation or be disturbed by it any longer.

          • Steven K.

Oh – and it’s not what I am IMAGINING – it is what, to my interpretation, is IMPLIED (and in a not-so-subtle fashion) or intimated, but without explicitly referring to the events or acts themselves. If I am or was MISINTERPRETING that, or reading something into it that actually wasn’t there, I would LOVE TO KNOW. I would love to know or be told that what I had interpreted – and a number of other did as well, from the language that was used by the characters – was wrong.

          • Steven K.

I just think it would very hypocritical if something did occur as part of the story, and, at the same time, we were forbidden to talk about it or discuss the horrendousness or hellish-ness of it all – at the very least as a means of working out and overcoming the horrible thoughts and feelings it might engender in some of us. I think J.D. and I had to talk for at least an hour or more before we even felt somewhat stabilized.

          • Steven, I hear that it’s still not clear why I had to moderate your comments the last time and why I issued a brief warning not to repeat things on this page.

This is a public forum. And it is a moderated comments section. I do not promise a safe space, but I and my fellow mods will do what we can to make this a pleasant space for people to discuss the themes and plot points of The Young Protectors. Graphic descriptions of violence against minors or sex involving minors do not appear on the comic pages of this webcomic and are not appropriate for this comment section. While there are places on the Internet where “anything goes,” this is a moderated comment section. That means that commenters are expected to think carefully about the impact of what they are saying and how they are saying it before they post.

A good rule of thumb would be to only say things here you might also be comfortable saying if you were invited to a friend’s house for Thanksgiving dinner with friendly strangers who share your political views. Would you be willing to engage in a conversation about the impact of rape culture in the U.S.? Possibly, if someone else brought it up. Would you then start sharing graphic descriptions of rape or Nazi atrocities over the dinner table? I would hope not. Would you be willing to share that you have a crush on someone to your dinner companions? Possibly. Would you then go on to disclose that you might want to “lick his sweaty furry upper body”? I would hope not.

The purpose of this is not to encourage people to avoid addressing painful feelings. I would strongly encourage anyone who is traumatized by any experience to reach out to people trained to help with that. I did, and it changed my life for the better. But I am not a trained therapist and both at a Thanksgiving dinner with friendly strangers and in this particular forum, explicit descriptions of violence and sex are not appropriate.

In terms of this forum, this level of discretion is especially true when talking about underage characters or underage real life people. But frankly, explicit descriptions of sexual activity, fantasy, or violence involving people of any ages do not belong here. It’s just not that kind of space. And if someone consistently “goes there”, then their comments will be moderated. If I think they they can continue being awesome members of our community, then I will issue a warning; and if I get the impression that they are not capable of following the rules, then they are shown the door.

People who choose to participate in this forum are expected to conduct themselves like thoughtful grown-ups speaking in a public space. Some people seem to intuitively understand the tone we have here. Hopefully, for others, the “Thanksgiving dinner” metaphor can offer some guidance.

Hopefully that is helpful in clearing things up. I do not offer spoilers for what happens in this comments, but in this one case, I will make an exception for you. I deleted a comment of yours on this page that had a graphic description of violence against an underage character. What you wrote never happened to that character and it’s a misunderstanding of what that character said to think that it did. For what actually happened, you’ll have to wait to see if I choose to share it in story.

As I said the last time this came up, if you have further questions that you feel require you to explicitly describe violence or sexual activity—and it is something that you are not able to process with a close friend or counselor offline, which would be the best option—then you can email me directly about it. I can’t guarantee I will be able to respond quickly, but you will then not need to worry about falling outside of the tone of this comment section.

Finally, as a note to other folks, while I appreciate the good intentions behind supporting my or another mod’s efforts at moderation, please just let us take care of things. That’s our job and having that role solely on our plates helps avoid unnecessary conflict or upset. 🙂

Thank you for asking for clarification, Steven. I hope that the expectations here are now more clear.

And with that, I am closing this comment thread. Further comments on this topic will be deleted by the mods.

          • Steven K.

And – a whole lot of “you” statements and accusations going on there in your message to me, Mr. Black (at least 6).

          • Let’s have no more edits or discussion on this topic, please. I’ve asked for this thread to be closed and for some reason, however you edited this comment got all new notification emails sent out. I doubt that was your intention, but I’ve clarified where I was coming from with the original poster, and I really do want this thread to be closed.

Let’s move on. Thank you. 🙂

          • Yes please. (What the author ^^^ just said there) I went there once, when I was younger and less prepared, and it wasn’t fun. So, let’s have staycation and relax and stay HERE. Thanks.

When a naked Boy demon is hurt , and really needs help, Spooky is there to pitch in ….

          • Adam Black

            Hes part Demon

        • Wow. The idea of bringing a powerful creature from the other side which could mess with magic here. It makes a lot of sense but I also think things here could interfere or block Laampros’ magic too.

          • Holly

GEORGE WATCHES OUT FOR US ALL!

          • YES! OUR GEORGE!

Please, Alex, can’t we see George again? Catch a little glimpse at least?

        • Adam Black

          K’BOOOM!

      • Saxon_Brenton

[blinks] I… hadn’t even considered that possibility. Or *any* Dark Spooky options, in any context, IIRC.

        • Holly

Speaking of Madness, Commander might psychically tap into something. OOO what if both of them go mad!

          • Saxon_Brenton

Oh, why stop there? Spooky goes Mad, and then Commander goes Mad through the psychic link, and then she projects it into everyone else…

Hmm, and for extra weirdness, because the ultimate source of this particular Madness is an overdoes of magic, everyone also starts random spellcasting…

          • Holly

And we errupt in a debated “__”kinesis and “___”mancy

I really hope you’re right, Fluke. You, of all people, are the one likely to be able to get away with saying what you do in the last panel and not jinxing things – but I’m still worried about Team Silver having done their research and anticpating your luck powers.

    • silibub

Yeah, Duncan at least took note of him when he brought up doing his “homework” on the date from hell. Foreshadowing?

  • dereule101

Whaddayaknow, it went up when I went downstairs to get my hot chocolate!

    • D. Garrett

omg im sorry i laughed so hard!

    • Steven K.

Ohhh – the page, you mean.

    • Adam Black

      it was a conspiracy

  • stickfigurefairytales

…Not to mention Fluke only has one day left until retirement.

    • silibub

His undercover operation will end, and he’s so excited to see his family again.

      • Holly

He’s about to be a grandfather for the first time…

        • Adam Black

          i missed something here

  • Cman65

Red still wins “the best butt in show”

  • D. Garrett

yeah right. red hot getting COLD feet. punny!

    • Klaus

“Da han følte jorden brænde under sig, fik han kolde fødder.” Sorry, couldn’t resist.

      • D. Garrett

” When he felt the ground burning under him , he got cold feet. ” i understand. he he.

        • Keneu

Is it a quote from somewhere?

          • Klaus

To feel the earth burn under you is a Danish figure of speech. It means to find that you had better get out of town real soon, or something bad is likely to happen to you. A more idiomatic translation would be “when he had to hotfoot it, he got cold feet.”

          • Keneu

Thanks for telling me, I didn’t know. Mange tak!

  • So.. there’s talk about making polls on who’ll get hurt.

I’m once again going complete opposite, and bring in the guess that this could go pretty much exactly as planned – which is what will make everything go so awfully wrong afterwards.

Alex is tricksy enough to make it work just like that >.>

    • Soirbleu

      Hmmmmm…..

      • The question is that with all that’s been set in motion with Laampy – what could the consequence be when it doesn’t happen?

Maybe PP and Anni won’t get caught as it was planned, but if the evil plan fails.. then what? They’re going to have one grumpy hell king knoking on the dimension door.

        • Holly

          Navels aren’t dimensional doors…

        • Soirbleu

I was really wondering that as well.

    • Tricksy Alex, yes 🙁

    • silibub

Possibly, since the ritual is almost complete right now, and whatever plan Duncan and Sircea have for dealing with Laampros’s arrival is probably delicate. Disrupting any aspect of it could exacerbate the situation rather than put a stop to it.

      • Goodness. Hadn’t thought about that. *nods head*

        • silibub

Although the image of Laampros showing up, expecting a coolly-executed transaction, only to find everyone screaming, fire and water everywhere, minions headbutting each other, etc is pretty funny.

          • stickfigurefairytales

Where’s that Community gif of Troy walking in with the pizza?

          • silibub

            PERFECT

          • Adam Black

            Dont forget George.
Hes the true star of this comic

      • Jen Roberts

Y’know… if Laampros shows up and TYP interrupt the plan for dealing with him, we could see a TYP+Duncan+Sircea vs. Laampros match-up. Because as much as Duncan & Sircea need to be dealt with, stopping literal Hell on Earth probably takes precedence.

        • silibub

          I would love that.

          • Yes and I would love to see Sircea realizing she has no choice but to fight along side with them!

          • silibub

Most scornful and reluctant alliance of all time.

          • EXACTLY! I can just see her expression.

          • Soirbleu

            Oh, YES.

          • silibub

“You know what, fuck all of this. I’m putting on sweatpants and going to Taco Bell — you take care of it.”

            …Actually, that’s more what I would do.

          • Soirbleu

            I AM LAUGHING SOO HARD.

          • LOL!

The thought of her having to remove her beautiful outfit (?) to change into sweatpants is great!

          • silibub

She could just zap herself into them like she did with Kyle!

          • But she has to leave her headress (?) still!

          • silibub

Eh, screw it. No one cares what you wear to Taco Bell.

          • More LOL!

          • Jen Roberts

I am picturing her just marching into the Taco Bell in her current get-up, looking around at the random drunks and stoners, striding imperiously over to the counter to order, getting her tray, picking out a table, and swooshing her cape for dramatic effect as she sits… just before she starts in on her chalupa.

          • silibub

            I hope she grabbed napkins.

          • silibub

Imagine her stuck behind a stoner who’s paralyzed by the ordeal of choosing something off a menu. People would be so dead.

          • Jen Roberts

I probably shouldn’t be laughing this hard at the idea of her laying a bunch of stoners to waste (and they’re already pretty wasted…), but…

          • D. Garrett

i see her mesmerizing everyone, going behind the counter. taking everything she wants then sitting down to eat and finally breaking the spell. and no one sees her or knows what happened.

          • Adam Black

In Hell , she will have to work at Taco Bell.

            The Taco-bell hell

          • Klaus

Just don’t trust her! The momenty she thinks problem #1 is soloved, she will start on problem #2, that is TYP.

        • stickfigurefairytales

I am a huge fan of team ups with erstwhile enemies against a common foe.

          • Jen Roberts

I am as well! I am also a huge fan of the word “erstwhile”. 🙂

          • stickfigurefairytales

Hee hee, me too! Isn’t it great?

          • Soirbleu

            Mee too!

          • Soirbleu

            Mee too!!

          • Soirbleu

Off topic, I’m also a really big fan of when rivals fall in love.

          • D. Garrett

i agree. its hot and intense!

          • stickfigurefairytales

            Definitely nice!

      • Exactly. I posted this question before, some months ago, and I still wonder what will/could happen if the deal with Laampros isn’t happening as planned?
Demon king.. weakened walls.. broken deal. This could possibly set some pretty nasty things in motion.

        • D. Garrett

and anni’s life in danger from the contract being broken. and while he is the villain and all, he was still kyles first. how would kyle handle anni’s death at his own fathers hand?

          • silibub

Maybe he’d freak out, kill Laampros, become king of hell and therefore be able to cancel the contract and stop the demon invasion?

          • D. Garrett

i just dont see him being powerful enough to take out laampros.

          • silibub

You’re probably right, even with an emotional power surge. Still, I wonder if Kyle becomes king of hell regardless of who takes out Big Red, or if he’s even the only heir.

          • Jakk Anthony Guzman

I doubt he is the only one. Laampros probably has dozens.

          • D. Garrett

but what if he doesnt and kyle has to rule hell? tragic really. i hope that doesnt happen!

          • You say the sweetest things… move over @alexwoolfson:disqus silibub will help resolve this mess… LOL.

          • Soirbleu

I don’t think any of them is ready to see ANYONE die. But, that being said, Kyle is pretty ramped up with the fires of revenge. I think he might take it as just? Until the adrenaline/shock wears off, and trauma begins to(re-)set in.

          • Klaus

They are a rescue team. You can not succeed every time. They must have seen people die before.

  • Jen Roberts

On a non-butt-related note, I love damn near everything about panel 2 (though of course, being a color-fiend, I’m spending a lot of my time enjoying Kyle’s hair).

    • Soirbleu

      Hello fellow color-fiend.

      • Jen Roberts

        *shares brownie brittle*

        • Soirbleu

Yum, thank you! Would you like some milk?

          • Jen Roberts

Oh, yes, please and thank you! 😀 I have some vanilla bean ice cream that goes well with butts, er, I mean brownie brittle. ^_^

          • Soirbleu

I have chocolate sauce that goes with…erm…everything.

          • Soirbleu

I am very pleased to make your acquaintance, Jen Roberts. No one on the internet has ever offered me a bite before…

          • Jen Roberts

            I have theories about that but they’re better suited for Tumblr (braincoins) than for here ^_^;

          • Jen, are you braincoins?

          • Jen Roberts

            Yes indeedy! 🙂

          • Yay! I love your stuff.

          • Jen Roberts

            D’aww, thanks ^_^

    • Steven K.

Kyle’s hair is always so awesome and adorable. I like Mitch’s too, though.

      • Adam Black

I read this as “Kyle’s ass is always so awesome and adorable. ”

        because of the panel 7.
Hell, I know thats what you were really thinking.

  • Paul’s lips in panel four are beautifully and subtly shaded. Very nice!

    • Soirbleu

Paul is always very beautiful. But yes, I hadn’t noticed his lips. Thank you for calling my attention to them!

    • Yes, but I’m wondering why we can see part of Paul’s neck (can’t see it anywhere else like that), and why his collar(??) is blue.

      • Cydney Sabin

If you look REEEEEAAAALLY closely in the first panel, you can see the blue stripe. It’s almost like a hem design. Or something.

      • Well, heck, we missed that. Good catch. 🙂

  • Steven K.

Wow – Kyle’s flaming tushie in that last panel!

  • Holly

0300 Atlantic Standard TIME! That means I disappear.

    • stickfigurefairytales

      Bye Holly! Goodnight!

    • Precious

      Goodnight 🙂

    • Good night, Holly!

    • D. Garrett

      gnite!

    • Adam Black

      Im so Jealous!!
I want to be on Atlantic time

      • Jen Roberts

Me too ’cause then I might be living in the same province as one of my besties ;___; (note: I do not live in Canada, but a girl can dream)

        • Adam Black

I dont live in Canada either ( USA, USA ! ) but its cold here, and Im 1 mile from the Atlantic ocean

          • Jen Roberts

I hear ya. It’s barely above freezing here. But that’s what warm pj’s, fluffy robes, and an abundance of cats (well, okay, two) are for.

          • Adam Black

I tried wearing my cats , but they leave.

what do you use to tie them down?

          • Jen Roberts

Tie them down? I can’t get rid of the beasts. Probably because I have my laptop on my lap and it’s warm and I’m warm, and so they just congregate on top of me whenever they get the chance.

          • Adam Black

i need treats to get them on me.

          • Indeed… cats and dogs…

          • Cats only hang out when you don’t want them too.

          • Adam Black

Mine like their own space, which is usually in the center of my own bed, or on my dirty laundry.

          • catnip-flavored Velcro

          • Adam Black

            good idea!
( im out of Cosmic Catnip . )

    • *hugs Holly* I am so sorry I missed you! But my eye was really bad. it is a bit better today, (though I have spent most of the day in bed because my eyes have that tired feel to them) but both of them seem to be very sensitive. Sensitive as in I am wearing sunglasses to be able to look at my computer screen without distressing my eyes. Also to help with dealing with the lighting around the house.

  • Mary Klemzak

And they kicked butt and lived happily ever after. The end!

    • silibub

What a nice, uplifting comic — so glad no one had to suffer 🙂

  • Oh, lord! I can’t help it. Alex, I know you did this on purpose. I cannot read “happy ending” without bursting out laughing! The curse of having a mind trawling beneath the gutter.

Great page, I was most taken by the face-off and with Kyle’s passion. As I hoped Flyboy inspired him and got Red Hot’s head in the right place. No, the other one. Sheesh, some people.

Well worth the wait and good news that the Apple gods are attending to your needs, Alex. You’re in good hands. *snerk* I’d better stop while I’m still family friendly. HAHAHA!!! *ahem*

    • Soirbleu

Family friendly? You’re well too late for that, friend.

  • Stubbylegs

    That last panel: DEM ASSES!

  • Precious

-Whimpers- There’s always a sale going on when I’m broke ;A; EEEEKKK! I love how confident Kyle is in this page, it makes me have hope that all will end well O 3 O But I have a feeling that something’s going to happen O_o

  • Soirbleu

Ah, I love talking to you all but my poor phone (no other internet at home) cannot take it and is spazzing. So, I away to bed.

    • Good night! Been fun tonight.

      • Soirbleu

        Goodnight, Gryphongirl! 🙂

    • silibub

      I’m off, too. Good night!

      • Good night, Silibub!

      • stickfigurefairytales

        Sleep well, silibub!

    • stickfigurefairytales

      Goodnight!

    • D. Garrett

      gnite!

    • Jen Roberts

      Goodnight, new friend! Sleep well!

    • I will take my leave too. Time for a late night movie before bedtime. Have a great weekend, all!

      • Jen Roberts

        G’night, Gryphon Girl! 😀

      • stickfigurefairytales

        Good night, Gryphon! Have fun!

    • stickfigurefairytales

I’m off to bed as well. Goodnight everybody!

      • Jen Roberts

        Goodnight, stickfigurefairytales! 🙂

      • D. Garrett

        good night SFF’s.

  • D. Garrett

i like flukes arm guards. they are so sexy on warriors!

    • Adam Black

      They do on Wonder Woman.

      • D. Garrett

i thought about her after i said it but i still like them and the metal rings on male warriors. yanno like the martial arts guy in kung fu hustle. he was the tailor. and also in books ive read. theyre hot!

        • Adam Black

          Wonder Woman is hot!
          @chrisdangerfield:disqus Linda Carter in costume,

Throw her out of bed, or ask for the magic lasso?

          • D. Garrett

she’s hot to u and apparently my ex husband. i think the arm guards are hot when sexy male warriors / heroes wear them. on WW, meh. ill never forget the day i found out he was into her. i was like “wonder woman: i dont get it.” and he gave me the “youre a dumbass” look. so i was like: “oh.” funny as hell 2 me now. ha!

          • Adam Black

She was created to be a foil for fascism , using all the positive allure of a good and free woman .
            …..
            “i dont get it”
Well you know, the Wisdom of Athena, The Beauty of Aphrodite, Strength of Hercules, Speed of Mercury, ex-patriot from a feminist utopia , packaged in a hot pinup woman, with the erotic the undertones bondage and restraint . its all there.

          • How big is her poster on your bedroom wall?

  • “They won’t even know what hit ’em.” Ouch. That, children, is what is known as “tempting Murphy”.

I’m just counting down the chapters until Annihilator finds out how much PP has been lying to him.

    • I thought it was called tempting fate?

      • Murphy’s Law. “Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong, at the worst possible moment” My mom had a plaque of it when I was growing up… I wonder where that went…

        • No, that is right. Murphy’s law. Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong.

But there is also something that say, “Don’t tempt fate” as in don’t push your luck with something.

She or he, combined both. They don’t go together.

          • I know. But the way Mik said it still made sense, as long as you know Murphy’s Law.

  • Klaus

“Hello, all you happy people. You know what? I’m the hero.”

    • *squee* *glomps Klaus* I LOVE DROOPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Acintyabedhabedhadasa

One looks like an American footballer (or is that a Science Team Gatchaman helmet?), the other (ironically) like a figure skater.

  • Yes! Only half a dozen re-loads this morning before I can join the conversation!

Over the last few pages I’ve been looking at the team-building exercise, and then the “let’s go kick some butt”, and thinking that there are some very obvious twists to put on this — and that this is chapter three of a five chapter story, it’s Alex writing it, and it’s going to be more complicated than the obvious.

    Also, nice bottoms. 🙂

  • All Kyle needs in that fourth panel is a bit of fire to match the look in his eyes.

  • bronakopdin

    This page just screams resolve!
so we finally get to the action now, huh?
At this stage… I’m not even sure anymore what I want to happen, I guess I’m just sitting here, waiting for the next page as the nervous wreck I am and scream like a preschooler to the TV: “no, don’t do that or you will get into the trap I just saw them settting” “go!!! You can make it”
    …and the like xD

  • TwilightDreamer

whoa boys, whoa!! *looks around and smacks hand on desk*…..touch wood touch wood!!!
rofl! XD no, there’ll be a happy ending for sure, and I can’t wait to see it 😀

  • timemonkey

I wonder how much control he really has with his powers? Could he just point at them and stop their hearts? or disconnect the detonator right now?

  • Hamish Kanakaredes

Since the fundamental force of the universe isn’t gravity or the such but irony, the very next panel should be something traveling through his chest at Mach 10 just for him saying that…

  • Marz

Dammit Kyle, now you jinxed it. What happens next is entirely your fault.

  • Pikinanou

Red hot has cold feet… haha 🙂

  • Cydney Sabin

This won’t go right, oh no. Cuz he’s a tricksy one, he is.

Also, can I have this page in like…. A seven foot tall poster?

    • Jeldenil

One of those oldschool bubbly posters so their butts really stick out?

      • Cydney Sabin

ERMAHGERD I NEVER THOUGHT OF THAT!! THAT’S GENIUS!! LOTS MORE CAPITAL LETTERS!! AAAAAAH!!

  • Kit the Coyote

Awww nothing like youthful enthusiasm in skin tight spandex.

  • Wayne Lunkwitz

Awwww mannnn! Double Bubble….never looked so good! 😛

  • Awwwww, the fates and Murphy’s law can go &*^$###& themselves. I like the turning feel of this page. So, nicely done Alex, Adam & Veronica!

Many people below have said all these same things and in pretty funny ways, so I recommend reading downwards. However (wails) I canna help it. So, this post is just for my own fun.

Just as an overall, I love that we see some resolve, indeed feel some strong emotion from our Kyle on this page. He’s been so quiet and frozen since his seriously abusive ‘date’ … just kinda rolling with it. Even during Tsunami’s seemingly inappropriate case of nerves in the jet, Kyle just passively rode it out. However, here we see that Mitch’s generosity is helping thaw that PTSD suspension and to help Kyle remember who he is (who he’s always wanted to be… a HERO). It’s a lovely and a wonderful pivot on which to turn the story.

Can I echo Cydney Sabin and say this page needs to also one day be a bigger image. It’s too lovely and feels to important to be small. Okay, I’ll even take it in BOOK SIZE. (want books, want books, want books… oh? sorry, got lost there for a moment.)

Panel-#1: I love our ever-enthusiastic Paul, who CANNOT wait anymore (HA Paul, now it’s your turn to be patient -LOL- and ‘wait outside the warehouse dude’) and so Paul comes running to get in on the drama… only to guess entirely wrong. ‘Doh. So adorbs our Paul. I love Kyle’s furrowed brow as he finishes processing Mitch’s bomb. Hey, I remember those days when you discover that someone, just like you, is also gay and you’re not alone. It’s a tectonic paradigm shift. At least it was for me. And the world gets a touch brighter.

May I also say about the whole page that Adam, you may not even be a little gay. Perhaps you’re happily married with nine children, but duuuude… you have got the drawing of these boys muscles DOWN to a beautiful art. BRAVO. You get the gay Chris Dangerfield stamp of approval for hot figure drawing to put on your resumé. (No it won’t help you get jobs, but it’s all I got. Heh). Thank YOU for that. 🙂

Panel #2: Perfect line, Kyle. A touch hard on yourself, but that makes perfect sense too considering where you are emotionally. I love that it doesn’t offer up Mitch’s news, which is not Kyle’s to give. Yet it shows how much Kyle admires Mitch’s strength and maturity. And he should. Again, I love Kyle starting to look Steely again. I’ve missed seeing his passion. So this is a great subtle expression. Love it.

Panel #3: I love the down angle on this shot. Adam and Veronica you always keep our views interesting. I like the ‘feeling’ of movement here, I can feel Kyle’s head turn toward Paul like it happened a nanosecond before the panel. Not easy to get that. Nice. I love that our Paul is WRONG AGAIN DUDE! Kyle is so not getting cold feet. (Okay I laughed out loud at Pikinanou joke about Red Hot having cold feet). That and Paul are just so funny.

Panel #4: Okay this panel is flat out AWESOME. The composition. The CU. The expressions. Kyle’s steel and Paul taking it in that his FRIEND is BACK. LOVE IT. Alex Woolfson can we have this panel as an early Christmas/Hanukkah present (I mean I may not be Jewish, but Hanukkah is only days away, right?). Just give us a nice big HD version of this panel. It would make a GENIUS desktop wall-paper. Hey, not trying to create extra work… well that’s a lie, but hey, can’t blame a fan for tryin’. LOL. Kyle’s expression here is like gold. Nom nom nom. (And am I nuts or does Paul have really kissy lips in this panel… between Kyle’s look of determination and Paul’s lips, I’m a bit fixated (‘scuse me… I’ll be back. I just need to stare for a bit).

Panel #5: For all the reasons already stated. LOVE Kyle’s expression of pure strength. Whatever excrutiating twist Alex has in store (oh and he does… as @cydneysabin:disqus said so correctly, even with a broke ‘puter… Alex is a ‘tricksy one’. I’m READY. I think… Oh, and could Kyle’s hair BE ANY MORE PERFECT. His hair is like the comment about superman’s cape conveniently disappearing when Clark needed to wear his suit. I guess if you have to put up with a Dad who’s a King Of Hell… you deserve perfect hair as compensation. LOL.

Panel #6: Love the light dawning in Paul’s eyes. He’s the type of guy who needs positive friends. Unlike Spooky he seemed a bit lost as to how to help Kyle with his pain. Spooky is a very special case of THAT FRIEND who can say the perfect thing to help you through the darkest place. My take on Paul is that he’s no less willing to help, but he’s just not the type of guy who get’s subtle. He’s just ready to be positive and he’s loving having his friend back. Sweet panel.

Panel #7: I love how Paul’s line reminds us of his powers. Do I understand why he would be charged up? NOPE, not a bit, but I hope it’s true. Okay, I’m gonna perv out for just a second and say, I’m going to be THAT GUY and you’ll know me when you realize of done a screen grab of those two fine fine posteriors and am using them as the desktop on my iPhone. I think it would cheer me no end to see that every time I activate my phone. Nom nom nom. (/perv over). Adam & Veronica, thanks, just a lovely shot of two pals walking off to battle. Nice!

Thanks again Big Three, for giving us a really sweet page to turn the tide on. This was so nice to wake up to. (I know… I fell asleep really early in the camp and woke in the wee hours to find my iPad flopped next to me on the bed. So, I saved the page-treat until this morning and I’m glad I did. Honestly, I can’t wait to read everything post the (Spooky/Amanda bonus scene) at speed when the book eventually comes. The pacing will be so different. Oh, that’s right it’s Christmas and there are treats yet to come. Good luck with that ‘Puter, Alex.

    • JozefAL

Chris, I’m not really sure why you think Kyle’s been “so quiet and frozen…..just kinda rolling with it.” After all, while it’s been several weeks OUR TIME, within the story’s frame, it’s probably been less than 48 hours since the “date” ended.

Granted, none of us in the real world are going to have to deal with a date that ends in such disastrous fashion but let’s put it in a more real-world frame. You’re still pretty closeted to your friends and family and your previous sexual experiences were not exactly the best (your first time at masturbation was interrupted by your grandmother; your first date with a girl–remember, you’re still closeted–went awry and she told everyone at school at how pathetic you were; etc ) so, you meet another gay guy who effectively blackmails you into dating him (that’s what Anni did, remember–go out with me or I’ll tell your friends) and, after you agree, he romances you and just makes you feel all special but you’re still afraid about coming out. Then, after a couple of big romantic (but still secretive) dates, he convinces you to have sex with him and you agree. You’re all excited about it and when the big night comes, he takes you to a rather secluded place (albeit a nice one–not some abandoned warehouse or a local motel that charges by the hour) he’s incredibly aggressive and very uncaring about your feelings. After it’s all done, he just leaves you alone (maybe with some sort of sarcastic remark) to get home however you can. After you call a friend to pick you up, the friend, of course, is going to want to know what happened and you tell him–coming out to him in the process. (Maybe he already suspected, maybe he didn’t really have a clue because you were just that deep in the closet.) But no matter how accepting he is, it’s still a bit of a trauma and you’re likely to just “go through the motions” for several days at work or school. (I do kind of doubt in the real world that your friend’s going to bring several other friends with him so you have to deal with telling two or three people about what happened. A real-world secluded place is usually going to be far more accessible than a house on the top of a mesa which needs a helicopter to get to.)

People do react differently to similar situations. But most of us do tend to need several days to get over something that causes us grief or trauma–even if it’s something like the death of a beloved pet or relative or just getting your heart broken. We do go all “quiet and frozen . . . just kinda rolling with it” until we think we’re healed or the pain has passed.

      • Perhaps, I wrote poorly and failed to communicate my thoughts. I agree with everything you just wrote. My assertions that Kyle has been quiet are exactly for the reasons you state. NOT a criticism of Kyle, but an acknowledgement of what he’s been through. So we are fully in agreement. I’ll look at my post and see what it seems I’m implying.

My idea of the real-world equivalent to Kyle’s experience is telling a sex-partner “NO”, and being ignored to your pain and misery, as you discover that your happiness and well-being was never something they cared about. Personally? I’ve been there and got that t-shirt.

So Kyle’s experience was the equivalent of rape to me. I fully expected him to ‘be quiet’ and have exactly the trouble he’s had and I applaud Alex for making him feel believable.

I do agree with you and I’m very aware of the effects of real-time vs. TYP time and how it effects the reader. I often mention it in posts. So, I agree with you on that.

Sometimes, when posting, we build on “everything we’ve posted in the past” and forget that someone may be seeing ‘this’ post for the first time, so it fails to convey what we feel. Everything you’ve written about Kyle as a victim, I’ve written about MASSIVELY in the past. I rather melted down when I read the hell-date in real time a year ago, and I was harsh in my comments about it. Perhaps, unfairly so.

So, in this comment, I only mentioned Kyle’s quiet in that “last night’s” crushing of his spirit hit me VERY hard… a year ago. “Trigger” would not be wrongly used here and I posted hard about it. So, I’m only expressing my complete pleasure in seeing him taking baby steps back into his passion to make things right (rather than blaming himself for what he never should have).

I do know what I’m talking about personally when I say that, when someone takes massive advantage of your naiveté, it’s all too easy to feel ‘stupid’ and blame yourself for not knowing better.

When at such a young age, how could you?

        Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

          pats Chris on the back
          It will be Ok

          • Thanks.

            (Smiles ruefully)

If Kyle can work through his hell-date, I guess I can survive a bad post. (LOL) Maybe some anti-depressants will help and, in a few months, I’ll be right as rain.

    • Klaus

Paul also mentioned being charged up on the plane. When bad things happen, he gets charged up so that good things will happen. Now, did something bad recently happen to one he cares for?

      • Thanks, I’d forgotten about that page. Perfect.

        • Klaus

And I had forgotten Flyboy’s next line. So he has actually been practicing with the boulders.

  • Sorry, but I kept hearing in the back of my mind: Everything is awesome, everything is cool when you’re part of a team.

  • ME24601

The next page is the corpses of the team lying in a pile, as demons chew on their remains. Followed by fifty pages of demons conquering the planet.

LOL OMG that’s so awful but hilarious for some reason..

    • HA!

    • Adam Black

      I will laugh so hard…

And then we will get a comic about a demonic superpower team fighting those nasty human rebels.

  • Dear Fluke,

You may wish to stop underestimating And dismissing Flyboy. He is more than you think he is and definitely not a pest or a neusance. One day he’ll save your butt and you’ll have to do some groveling.

          • Klaus

Chris has clearly deserved his own letter. I move that he be assigned the letter ‘C’, to be his very own.

          • Thank you Klaus. It’s good to know that some people never leave Sesame Street. 🙂

(This silliness brought to you by the letter “C”.)

          • Klaus

Sorry to disappoint you, but I have never seen Sesame Street.

          • HA! How did I just know that? Well, Klaus, I’m here for you… and you are in for a treat… A classic American children’s show…

  • Timni16

see that? that’s when you know paul is going to die

    • Klaus

      Then again, maybe not.

  • D. Garrett

before this page i never entertained the idea of a ship between these two. looking at them again, especially panel 4 where they have such intense eye contact, makes me think that they would be hot together. if paul were gay as well, that is.

  • Kate G

    Dear Kyle and Mitch,

If you say one more famously spoken last phrase, I’ll duck tape both of your mouths shut from sheer dread. STOP SPEAKIN’ THEM!

    Sincerely,
    Katie

P.S. And quit having such nice tushies too. Being on a sexual predator list for the next 25 years isn’t on my bucket list.

P.P.S. Seriously, enough with being so cute. You’re killin’ me, especially when it comes with the super adorable faces like panel 5. “Because we’re heroes and that’s what heroes do.” Awwwwwwwww, Kyle’s face in panel 5. I want a print of that. IT’S SO ADORABLE AND CUTE!!!!

  • Flamesilocks

So… am I the only one whose RSS feed has been broken for like, forever?

    • SofiaT

Try deleting it and subscribe in it again.
It does tend to get stuck from time to time and usually that does the trick.

      • Flamesilocks

I’ve done that several times since it started, no change. This has been going back since before spooky’s flashback thing. No amount of deleting and re-applying it has had any effect.

      • Flamesilocks

Nevermind, apparently I somehow had the wrong link. Before page 50 there was a different RSS feed, and it didn’t seem to get updated on the subscribe page until maybe page 75? I don’t remember when the last time I tried fixing it was, but it wasn’t that long ago. Hopefully now it works again, I don’t check my e-mail often enough to rely on it for updates and I always forget to check on the days it updates.

        • SofiaT

Forgetting the updates is not that bad, unless you want to be part of camping.
          You can always bookmark the last page you read;
when you remember to come back, you get to start reading again from where you left off, with a nice chunk of pages ahead.

  • (chris… still staring at Panel #4…)

    Just sayin’.

    • Snap out of it, man!

Nurse, a bucket of water for Mr Dangerfield…

      • STAT! Nurse Spooky comes running in with Chris’ medicine…

Wait? What? (chris wakes up again from strange and wonderful dreams…)

    • Terri Sutton

Is this a “kiss now” joke?

I can get behind that. (hehehe get behind)

  • So this is where we find out they’re all secretly gay right? XD

  • LimpBiskit

I’d like to know why my earlier reply was deleted.

    • Hi LB, earlier reply to what?

    • Howdy LimpBiskit,

I deleted it because, even though what you said was fine on its own, it was a response to a comment that could have been considered a graphic description of violence and I’ve found that when responses are kept on the site to deleted comments where there’s absolutely no context, it tends to be very confusing for commenters—and the “mystery” around it becomes a thing in itself that can derail things.

In general, as I’m sure you’re aware, I and my mods, take a very light touch when it comes to moderating comments here. And in truth, it was a judgment call whether the original comment was provocative enough to need my intervention here. But on this same page, I had just made clear to another commenter that explicit descriptions of sex and violence aren’t appropriate here, and letting that comment remain felt like it would muddy the waters.

Sometimes there are clear cases. And sometimes there are judgment calls. But I still believe in using a light touch when it comes to moderation here, and everytime I do choose to intervene, it’s with the goal of keeping this a pleasant space for thoughtful discussion.

So no worries. If you had done something that I felt needed a warning or anything, I would have reached out to you. As it was, that comment was just part of a thread that I chose to remove altogether.

  • Jeffrey Jacobson

The bad guys finished their ritual an hour ago, while all these long conversations were going on….

  • Chris Roller

    Dem butts.

    ._.

    • Niggle

lol, I was admiring their majestic necks and traps. XD

  • Keneu

Silly question of the day: don’t they hurt their feet walking only with the hero suit on and no shoes?

I love the latest updates. From Mitch’s “confession” and support to Kyle’s reaction to it. The facial expressions of everyone are great, they convey a lot of emotion, which it must be hard to get right. And let’s not forget the hype for the upcoming battle.

    • Tahir Raines

I always assumed that hero suits has special soles for their feets. Like pajama feet’s soles, but more durable and solid.

      • Keneu

Right, that must be it. Everyone was commenting on the muscles and butts and such, I guess I pay attention to different things. ^^’

        • Odd_child_1

This might be out of left field but I can’t help myself.

Useless Information I Know #923: most classic super hero costumes and uniforms are based on the gear professional wrestlers of the time wore. Hence, the underwear on the outside are actually trunks worn by wrestlers over their tights for the sake of modesty.

        • I think it’s all pretty interesting, and I’d miss a lot without reading these comments. So, please keep paying attention to different things and sharing. It’s good stuff, as far as I’m concerned, and much appreciated. 🙂

  • Terri Sutton

Sorry about posting this. I had just gotten notification that one of my posts were deleted. I was wondering what got the comment deleted so I can avoid such a situation in the future. (Or was it that I was replying to a comment that got deleted.)

    • You did nothing wrong, Terri. 🙂 It was indeed a reply that was to a comment that was deleted. (Now that was a mouthful lol)

If you scroll down a few comments you’ll find Alex’s explanation as to what happened and why.

      • Terri Sutton

Thanks for that. I was just worried that I may have inadvertently broken the posting rules.

        • Not a problem. If there had been an issue one of us mods would have chimed in. 🙂

  • Lord of the Potatoes

And now I’m giggling like a child because of the use of happy ending. Oh dear.

  • fujoshifanatic

A fitting end to an awesome and revelatory scene. Can I say that Paul and Kyle look especially cute in profile in panel four? I certainly hope Kyle is right about their happy ending–and that Paul (or any of TYP, for that matter) doesn’t have to go through a lot of hell to get it. Well, maybe just a leetle hell, just for excitement, but not enough for people to get hurt.

  • Doki is here to camp?

    • Saxon_Brenton

I dunno… That looks like a rather a rather tenative statement.
(unless you’re doing a LOLcat style “i can haz cheeseburger?” riff, in which case I apologise for my obtuseness)

      • No, I was just extremely late and usually there are a few people around, but it was DEAD quiet, the last comment being posted 7 hours ago. The ? was mostly because nobody seemed to be here. Kind of like saying hello into a pitch black void.

    • Disqus didn’t want to come up on my chromebook, which is what I use when I’m watching the board and watching Tuesday night tv. 😐

      • silibub

Does anything good air on Tuesday nights?

        • NCIS…um The Flash though that’s on winter hiatus. Agents of Shield. There is more I’m certain but I’m drawing a blank.

  • Acintyabedhabedhadasa

See the little demon cupid in the Dale Lazarov ad? That’s future Kyle.

  • Saxon_Brenton

If I’m remembering correctly Alex should have his computer back by now. Should we start speculating whether it’s really been brought back to life with resurrection as promised, or merely animated with necromantic revivification? – in which case it will be wandering around moaning “pixels… pixels…” and eat all our webcomics.

    • silibub

That’s the kind of nuance you just know Apple sticks in the fine-fine print.

  • I just voted for TYP for Top Web Comics. Have you caste your vote today?

    • Thanks for the reminder

    • Saxon_Brenton

I have trained myself so that the first thing I do after my computer is logged on each work day is to vote for Artifice and the Young Protectors. Self-induced OCD. Interestingly, this habit does not extend to my home computer; dunno why.

    • Voted!

  • Saxon_Brenton

I’m off home, with some grocery shopping along the way. I will return to the campsite in about an hour-and-a-half.

    • Safe travels!

    • May the Force be with you. I can’t seem to shop without getting a fritter to soothe my nerves afterwards.

  • davefragments

    It’s camping night, hooray.

    • It is indeed and definitely hooray!

How are you this evening, sir?

      • davefragments

Better than yesterday, that’s for sure. It’s been a quiet day.

        and you?

        • Doing well. My hands are cold so I’m looking up patterns for fingerless gloves to crochet.

          • davefragments

I know that pain. I have to touch metal without my gloves because of small parts and in the winter, outside, my hands hurt.

          • Yeah I need my fingers free to write and it helps to have them free while I’m roasting coffee. And it would help to have them free while I crochet too.

          • stickfigurefairytales

But won’t you get caught in a Catch-22 because your hands will be too cold without the gloves to be able to crochet them?

          • I’ll just make sure the room is warm.

    • SO curious as to what is going to be on the next page!!

      • davefragments

I am too. I’m expecting a change of scene to an overview or Sircea and Duncan.

        • Acintyabedhabedhadasa

Fluke (this page): “Trust me, Kyle, […] they won’t even know what hit ’em.”

Duncan (next page, hiding in the bushes and evesdropping): “Mwahaha, that’s what YOU think, you meddling nincompoops!”

(Presses button on gizmo of some sort)

  • stickfigurefairytales

Hi everybody! I probably won’t be able to stay too long, but I wanted to at least stop in for a little while. 🙂

My brother and youngest sister are home for Christmas, so we’re doing lots of fun stuff together. My brother’s girlfriend is here too, although she’ll be leaving on the 23rd. All we need now is my other younger sister, who will be coming home on the 21st!
