Oh, no.

Thanks to your amazing support, it’s been a great week on the Patreon. We’re now at $4,295/month — in just a little over a month, that’s well over 60% of the way to me being able to work on comics for y’all full-time! And only $205 away from the next Milestone Goal, something y’all have been asking for for a long time: a bookmarkable link to the Most Current Page of The Young Protectors! I am so grateful to all of you who have become Patrons so far! You are SUPER-HEROES!

Since the last update, the Patrons also blasted through the previous Milestone Goal, which allowed me to start posting up the NSFW Full-Monty Digital Kickstarter Rewards as Special Digital Rewards. The full-color, “Full Monty” art shows full-frontal nudity of the adult characters of The Young Protectors, something that I’d never show on this site. And that meant, on Wednesday, I posted up the Sexy Height Chart of the Guys, which shows all the male members of The Young Protectors team lined up by height. Curious how our boys measure up? Wondering who’s cut and who isn’t? Now you can find out! 🙂 (But you’ll have to act quickly, because unlike the other rewards, I’m only going to be keeping NSFW rewards on the Patreon Page for 60 days before removing them.)

If you become a Patron now and choose to receive the Special Digital Rewards, you will be able to download a wallpaper version of the Sexy Height Chart. You’ll also be able enjoy all the other rewards so far posted, including the “How Spooky Got His Cap” short story that folks have liked so much. And, of course, Patrons who chose to get the Special Digital Rewards (which is the vast majority) continue to receive Digital Kickstarter Rewards every Wednesday and get to see special Sneak Previews every Sunday.

Over 500 of you have already become Patrons in the last five weeks. There are lots of great benefits to being a Patron, and you’d really be helping me out if you became one too. If you’re enjoying our work here and would like to see it continue (and would like to get access to all kinds of special benefits!),

please take a moment to watch the video on my Patreon page and consider becoming a Patron. 🙂

I want to send out my warmest thank yous out to all the new Patrons who have joined in the last few days. As you can see in the comments below, a bunch more folks have had a blue, silver, or gold YP badge added to their Disqus avatars, which means they are a Patron. If you see one of these folks, please join me in extending my thanks for directly supporting the making of this comic! And please also send out a special thanks to those exceptionally generous backers who are on the Leaderboard of Awesome page. You all ROCK!

So! Looks like The Platinum Priestess hit her mark. And as promised, it does indeed seem to have distracted at least one Young Protectors team member. How hurt is Mitch? How will Spooky and the rest of the team react? And is this the beginning of the tables turning against our team?

Tune in this Wednesday to find out! Hope to see you there! 😀

DING! DING! DING! DING! DING! DING! DING! Edit 2/28/15 11:16 PM: The Patrons did it! They hit $4500/month and unlocked another Milestone Goal — and one which will benefit everyone: The Bookmarkable Link to the Most Current Page of This Webcomic! That’s right — one of the most requested features since I started webcomics is now going to happen. But it’s going to require me getting my hands dirty with the webcomic site. Which will mean taking the site down for maintenance while I do that. If all goes well, that should only mean a couple hours of downtime. If it doesn’t, well, then we’ll see. (Worst case scenario, I restore from backups and try again in a couple weeks after trying to diagnose things with the developer of my webcomic app.) I’m going to get all my ducks in a row and try to perform the upgrade this Monday at 1:00 P.M. PST. So if you come here on Monday and see a “Maintenance In Progress” sign up, that’s what going on. More soon. And please join me in thanking the totally awesome 543 Patrons who made this happen! 🙂
