  • stickfigurefairytales

    A new challenger has arrived!

    • stickfigurefairytales

Eeeeeee! Now I have two virgins and they can be friends!

      • Adam Black

<<< does unspeakabable * things to one of
        @stickfigurefairytales:disqus Virgins.

The other one gets jealous and they fight

        choose 1:

        * it just rude to

        A) f*ck and tell
        B) talk with your mouth full
        C) what? Look, squirrell
D)<< balls deep in the other virgin, hey wasnt that squirrell entertaining enough?

        • stickfigurefairytales

          *brandishes gigantic sword*
GET YOUR DAMN HANDS OFF MY VIRGINS!

          • Adam Black

there is always next week, right?
            happy defiling.
<< jumps through secret slut exit, it seals behind me

          • stickfigurefairytales

Hey Adam? This actually hurt my feelings quite a bit. Could you please not do this again?

        • stickfigurefairytales

Adam, I’m pretty sure that touching another commenter’s justly won virgins carries the penalty of death with it. You might want to start running.

          • Adam Black

Virgins? I see no virgins here…
( looks around. Yup she went to bed… )

No virgins here. Just us sluts. Here i think this was yours.

<< shoves satisfied bodies in @stickfigurefairytales:disqus
            direction…

          • stickfigurefairytales

            Seriously Adam, that’s uncool.

          • Alright you, leave the virgins alone.

    • Congrats stickfigure!

      • stickfigurefairytales

Thank you, Doki! It was super close!

  • Ævintýrið heldur áfram …. Yahooooooooo.

  • Yay! Finally got in!

I say Detective Parker needs a kick in the butt.

    • Adam Black

      What a douche.
I wouldnt “kick him” with @chrisdangerfield:disqus s penis.
Looks like , I will have to do it, myself

  • Jakk Anthony Guzman

    Getting better.

  • DC

I bet she didn’t like being called little girl

  • stickfigurefairytales

“Wow, this is great, Mom! Dad never brings me to see severed heads!”

  • mogoskier

So how long do I have to wait before that detective gets a punch in the face.

    • You can punch him, I’ll give him a kick in the butt! 😀

    • DC

It would be fun if Amanda had telekinesis also

    • Klaus

I hope that Amanda will behave impeccably correctly. That she will find some way of humiliating him without breaking any rules, writtem or unwritten.

Her threatening Spooky to break him in half is not very good behavior. So I don’t have much cause for optimism. Nevertheless I am optimistic.

  • DC

ooh it’s just a head. I didn’t think ‘remains’ sounded like an entire body

    • stickfigurefairytales

Now I *really* hope it’s not Spooky.

      • Adam Black

        why?
clearly he gets a head of this

      • Saxon_Brenton

You don’t like the image of Spooky recreating his body like the Swamp Thing?: Having his head suddenly sprout tendrils of nerves, veins and skeleton, almost instantly bulking out with internal organs, musculature and then skin, then having him sit up, look down at himself, and in embarrassment ask, “Can I have some clothes, please? I can manage flesh, but I haven’t figured out how to create clothes yet.”

        • Librarican

Reminds me of the Animorphs series when Jake (?) got smushed as a fly and had to morph back.

        • stickfigurefairytales

Well, more than that I don’t want him to have had his head ripped off.

          • Saxon_Brenton

Yeah, I’d probably be another bit of trauma that the character could do without, cool visuals or no cool visuals. (And, as someone who is usually hideously squeamish, upon further reflection I’d probably end up deciding against it in the long run.)

          • Klaus

Right. Getting your head ripped off is traumatic.

        • Klaus

          Or like Jonathan Osterman.

    • Elrohir

I am more and more liking your previous theory of “demon remains”. Part of me still want’s it to be Spooky Payback to the demon who dragged him to hell.
On a side note, Detective Parker needs a trip to the metaphorical woodshed.

  • Well it does look like Amanda is about to break the Detective in two and I’ll be here cheering her on.

Should we make odds on how quickly she could get it done?

    • stickfigurefairytales

      Three seconds!

      • I was thinking no more than ten, but most likely five.

        • stickfigurefairytales

          I’d put money on that.

          • 😀

          • I’ll put $2 on 6 seconds! 🙂

          • stickfigurefairytales

            $10 on less than five!

          • b3nc0

Shouldn’t we more evaluate how many panels it takes and how many different screams and/or swears he manage? I’ll bet 3 panels for 5 swears & 3 distinct screams?!

    • mogoskier

I’m hoping for a mind break, you don’t get alot of mind breaks anymore. I miss them.

      • Mind break?

        • mogoskier

          Have you ever watch yugioh?

          • Yes. Oh! He did that to Kiba.

          • mogoskier

Yep, and other villain. It would go great, Amanda dose a little mind breaking detective Parker take a painful nap and wake-up with a headache and a better attitude.

          • That would be awesome cause that attitude don’t fly. 😐 So needs a good butt kicking.

  • Elrohir

Annd…the Lt. Col is carrying surgical gloves in her pocket so she’s clearly expecting to “get her hands dirty” metaphorically speaking. Were I Detective Parker, early warning bells would be going off…

    • stickfigurefairytales

“Good thing we’re already at the morgue. You won’t have to go far.”

    • Librarican

The blackberry morphed into gloves. The Lt. col. Is someone who can manipulate the properties of physical objects, but she reserves it for parlor tricks like this in the presence of mixed company.

  • silibub

Huh, I wonder what kind of head could be a threat to national security. I’m also loving the stink-eye Amanda’s giving Detective Condescension there.

    • “stink-eye” is the perfect phrase. Love it.

    • I want to see in the next scene Amanda grabbing his thumb and doing some damage….

Um… I think I need to lay off the caffeine, I’m getting a little blood thirsty.

      • Adam Black

        there, there,

        offers @admiraljane:disqus decaf Bloodpresso

        • 😛

          • Adam Black

            Go on , now
            Its virgin blood, extra-refreshing.

            Someone ( ahem : @stickfigurefairytales:disqus )
left a pile of Virgins by the door. It was very unusual ,actually. But, I thught of you . Im thoughful like that.

          • Not a vampire. 😛

          • Adam Black

Of course you are not .
            Who said anything about Vampires.

<< rubs some Virgin Blood on @admiraljane:disqus Blood Red cape. Her eyes glow silvery and she floats a few inches off the floor

          • Do Not Feed The Cape!

The last time someone did that the cape ate the individual. Not a morsel could be found afterwards.

          • Adam Black

There, there The Cape, I know you get hungry

            slips the Cape @marcusdiontescott:disqus wallet
( thats his lair, for later when you are hungry )

well the The Cape is an intoxicating shade of Red,
I am sure they deserved it.

          • So impertinent, Mr. Black. 😛

          • Adam Black

            I blame @stickfigurefairytales:disqus for not properly securing those Virgins, where their defiled magick could be loosed upon us all;

er I mean, I blame the caffeine. Its all coffees faults. Let us go to rehab togther.

<< winks at the Red Cape

      • silibub

Haha, I get sort of bloodthirsty when I’ve had too much caffeine, too! “Oh man, I feel great, let’s go do something let’s kill a dude!”

        • Yeah me and caffeine, not always a good combo! 🙂

  • Adam Black

    It’s Spooky’s head, isnt it?
    whoops spoliers. Sorry @Alex

  • Thanks to our trio — A, A & V!

I love the feistiness already. It’s very interesting that the language of diminutives such as ‘little girl’ is right there from a man who, as partner to the rather formidable looking Detective Tutt, one might think would know better! Hmmm? And as always Alex must surprise us… head(?)! Nice!

Of course, I’m sure I’m not the only one who considered remarking on how we’re all getting a little head, but I think that can wait until tomorrow and we’ll see if it still seems humorous in the morning. *snort*

Thank you very much Alex for yet another surprise. Thank you very much for some very interesting compositions Adam and Veronica. I’m going to enjoy soaking it all up with fresh eyes in the morning. As always you three give us something that makes the week much more special.

    • Adam Black

I cant believe i didnt think of that joke, first

    • Librarican

Waiting until morning is good. You wouldn’t want to get ahead of yourself.

  • Wow, Amanda has security clearance at 16. That’s hot stuff there.

    • Adam Black

Shes got powers, i bet .
      Something we havent been told

      • stickfigurefairytales

        Besides the telepathy?

        • Adam Black

          OK,.. maybe ?

( OK confession: I forgot she was a telepath, but I am sticking to my theory. Its a safe bet since we have no idea how it manifests )

          • stickfigurefairytales

(I actually had too for a moment, until @mogoskier:disqus

mentioned the mind break thing below.)

      • Yeah, but still, that seems pretty young. Of course with the mother being a Lt. Colonel…she got a bit of a boost.

        • Adam Black

          Mind control?

          • Maybe who knows.

          • Adam Black

he does? I didnt realize we collided with the Whoverse

          • You mean we aren’t always in the Whoverse?

          • Adam Black

not if Mrs Whatsit has any say about it

          • HA!

      • Telekinetic testicle squeezing powers?

        • mogoskier

That would explain the team full of teenage boys, easy control.

        • Adam Black

I though you were the only one

          • THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!

          • Librarican

Now, I don’t have that anatomy, but I thought there were supposed to be two of those?

  • Marcus Dionte Scott

*Has a realization/develops a hunch after analyzing the page some more. and GASPS* OH MY FUCKING GOD, Alex! You didn’t! Oh my fucking god, but if you did…that would be fucking INGENIOUS!! But did you?! *Faints from Shocked Brain Overload*

          • It’s fire resistant. It’s everything resistant including wrinkle resistant. And leave the cape alone. It gets testy. 😛

          • Marcus Dionte Scott

*Stomps foot in protest* Your disobeying Marvel Canon Rules!!! The Phoenix can destroy anything! Fine then! *Has a tantrum and sets Colorado on fire*

          • I’m not part of Marvel. I’m Admiral Jane.

          • Marcus Dionte Scott

Very well, Admiral Jane~~~Nex time, my foe~~NEXT time *Rides off side-saddle on a flatulating phoenix that farts volcanic ash, doing so as the theme to The X-Files begins to play in the background*

          • mogoskier

Okay I was wondering which Phoenix you were.

          • silibub

*plucks it out of your hands* What the hell, is this a cursed amulet? Marcus, why do you even have this.

Also that reindeer oil attracts the Krampus, so have fun with that.

          • Adam Black

Hah, jokes on you @mogoskier:disqus reindeer oil already applied.

Hey that was my beating broom. Your lucky you look cooler with it or you see the broad side of it.

        • stickfigurefairytales

*sidles up with a quarterstaff* What?! This is like a broom… Just, without the straw…

          • Elrohir

Ever practical. And a staff is just a really big stick, yes?

            Yup! 🙂

      • Marcus Dionte Scott

*Wakes up* Hey! Hey! Hey! *Uses Shouryuken to knock Kilt Putter Onner away* What in the name of a BDSM porno do you think yer doin’?! Do I look like Mel Gibson in Braveheart?! And gimme my damn money!!!

    • mogoskier

      Wait what, what happening.

      • Marcus Dionte Scott

Two theories have just come to mind, though I am apparently not the first one to think of it…though reading this chapter somewhat ties up a WHOLE lot of things from Chapter 2. My gut is telling me something, though my insecurities make me a bit…unconfident

        • b3nc0

DAMN YOU! You made me read ch2 again, and weep for Kyle, and hate Duncan thrice more (nowing all the BS he was serving Kyle) so much that the fork team should be the STAKE team (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ

    • silibub

      C’mooon, tell us your theory!

      • Marcus Dionte Scott

My theory is this (And I am assuming it is a far-fetched one)
The man looks an awful lot like Duncan (or at least resembles him enough to make me wonder). The fact that he looks like Duncan, and the fact that he and the other detective are in a police station as detectives who are surrounded by information, brings me back to the conversation Duncan was having with Kyle in Chapter 2, where he surprised Kyle with all the information he knew about the Young Protectors; a detective can, in many cases, EASILY find out information about people, and finding out information about a group that is newly-formed (I am assuming that by the end of this chapter, the team is going to be formed, or at least conceptualized in some sense). Perhaps he had in some shape or form dealt with the “Demon King” Laampros around this time or earlier, or came up with and/or was inspired by some sort of plot. I honestly believe too, that the sinister things that Duncan was talking about (and using as an excuse for duping Kyle) may have something to do with these past events (or, from our perspective, the current events). I also wouldn’t be surprised if the dark-skinned detective woman is more than meets the eye. I have some more theories, but they are kind of jumbled and somewhat formless

        • fujoshifanatic

While that’s a cool theory and all, I just want to point out a couple of things that don’t jibe too well with it, from what I can see:
          1) First off, the timeline is totally off. Going back six years does not take you from 57/58 to late twenties/early thirties, which is clearly how old this detective is, and Anni does not have any means, magical or otherwise, to make himself appear that young–hence, his deal with Laampros.
          2) The detective has neither Anni’s distinctive jaw, impressive build, nor icy blue eyes, so in the end there is not enough of a resemblance to make that theory work.
          3) Even by then Anni was already a rich man, so he could have easily hired people (maybe that very detective!) to gather that information for him. He wouldn’t have risked going undercover (in a police station of all places!) at this stage of his life (early 50s) to gather intel about a bunch of children still too caught up in the throes of puberty to be much of a threat to him and his doings.

And I just icked myself out a little realizing that when poor Kiyle was 12 and finding out what kind of damage his, um, “firestick” could do in certain conditions, Anni was already in his fifties. D-: Not a nice thought to consider at all. :-

          • Marcus Dionte Scott

Thank you for responding. I will offer a few counterpoints, if you will:
            1) I am not taking age into account simply because, assuming that Duncan is in disguise, there are plenty of ways for one to disguise themselves without relying on the arcane to do so. One does not have to actually be young to fool people into thinking your young; a simple dye job could do the same thing. Also, nowhere in the comics does it state that Duncan lacks any mystical knowledge/item that would allow him to APPEAR younger than and thus different than he actually is, which brings me to point 2), that his lack of those icy blue eyes, as you call them, might actually be intentional, as who would want to draw suspicious attention to themselves by keeping certain physical traits that would make them easily identifiable (at least to those in-world). The name of the game for Duncan has always been delitescence, and making sure that he is not physically recognizable is not out of the realm of possibility. As well, the detective possesses enough characteristics to Duncan to raise some eyebrows (as can be attested by previous comments concerning his similarities). Perhaps it is a stretch, but to me, it seems feasible that the character would be created in such a way as to allow for parallels to be drawn beyond the 4th wall while at the same time making sure that the in-world characters are none the wiser. After all, this method has been used in other works, and for me, it can make things interesting.
            3) I never said that he was looking up information about the kids now, rather that he might eventually find something near the end of the chapter, and I assume something will herald the birth or conceptualization of the team by then. His pretending to be a detective could make it easy to find out information about them, given that he is already (and literally) close to Amanda and her mother, both of whom have high clearance, which means they have access to some pretty sensitive data. The female detective theory is just something that (for now) my gut is reacting to. As I said, the theories may be far-fetched, and I realize that possibility, but I have my reasons and for now at least, I am content what I’ve theorized.
Thanks for responding to my post 🙂

  • Sapfo

Aha so it’s take your dauther to work day. I wonder how young Amanda was the first time her mother took her to work?

    • When mother realized how useful her powers are?

Or we can be really nice and not mistrustful of the military and say her mother has been training her for a military career for a long time, and her powers just happen to be a bonus.

    • Adam Black

      where have you been hiding?

I saved some virgin Bloodpresso for you

    WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Comic!

    Wait… head what now? >.>

  • Ummm…..I think I am going to go to bed now……weird things are happening in the comments, and I am not sure if I am imagining them or not….

    • stickfigurefairytales

I think they’re real, but it’s probably a good idea to go to bed anyway.

      • stickfigurefairytales

I’m gonna head to bed myself.

yes WE aren’t the crazy ones after all 🙂

      • Apparently not…..I am not used to being the sane one….

        • Adam Black

My mother used to always say :
“theres a first time for everything”

which is a terrible thing to tell a child at night.
I hope that doesnt keep you awake tonight.

      Oo….. I see….

This is what happens when dinner is late in my family. Everyone goes a little wonky. Makes sense that it happens with other things that are in the oven for longer then usual.

  • Oh god — I am torn between freaking and laughing at that last line. Detective Parker Does Not Approve, does he?

    • John

Commander Does Not Care. Look at her face in the last panel!

      • Adam Black

He is so getting an ass whoopin

        • John

          He so deserves it!

          • bronakopdin

maybe he thinks as the litteral “only rooster between the hens” (German idiom, sorry) he has to play out his manliness or something ^^

          • John

Perhaps, but Police stations are primarily male havens with a few exceptions (such as forensics apparently, though that has never been my impression)

As a result I’d imagine he was just being a chauvinistic pig. But I may be doing him a disservice. He may simply be ageist but I can’t help thinking if The Commander was a male the detective would be like ‘enjoy the body; see if you learn something’

          • bronakopdin

yep, that sums it up pretty good

  • Midwestmutt

Thanks for your concern, duh-tective Tutt.

  • TwilightDreamer

    >:s hmmm……well this guy’s not earning himself any favour quickly now is he?
“little girl”?….show some respect pal! I get what’s in there won’t be pretty to say the least….but I think she’ll probably be able to handle it….
    lol…now I’m worried about what’s coming though 😛

  • Can I hit Eyebrow Dude? Please?

  • vessto

Head…. *shudders* The head to which the giant flying eye belongs?

    • b3nc0

      Mmh… I ponder…
Now, will it be a giant one-eyed head or a giant blind cyclops’ head?
      ¦’ .9

  • fujoshifanatic

Okay, so I was right about the colonel being Commanda’s mom, and there only being a body part. Commanda’s side eye in the first panel is everything; she hasn’t spoken a word yet and already has communicated volumes about the level of badass she has already achieved at just 16.

I still don’t think the head is Spooky’s, as that would make him a member of the undead. Spooky’s just too warm and lively a person to be dead already, nor could he have aged from 14 to 20, which he obviously has according to the comic’s present-day time track.

My guess is that it’s the head of some low-level demon or necromancer, and I will leave my speculation at that for now. My weekend has barely begun, and I’m already wishing for Wednesday to be here. Not cool!

  • Librarican

I have a distinct voice in my brain for the guy, and I’m trying to come up with a way to describe it. Not quite southern, but with just a hint of sarcasm. The closest I keep thinking of is Buzz Lightyear/Tim Allen.

    • Librarican

Plus I love that wordless panel 5 where he sweeps them in like royalty. Still very smug and cocky without having to say a single word.

  • Only a head, you say?
HOPEFULLY that now ruined the chances of this being Spooky they’re about to see.. but knowing how twists show up, I’m not leaving it out until we see it’s not.

So Amanda has clearence in this age already, but is she still an intern? Dayum if she’s already training with the navy seals at this age. Could be a serious case of ‘looks can be deceiving’. I think that detective should be carefull of who he calls ‘Little girl’. He could ..trip.. or suddently not feel so good 😉

I wonder if she would have come alone if she had been older. I guess that at 16 she would have a hard time being taken serious if she showed up by herself to see the remains – clearence or not.

Speculations. A LOT of speculations again from a page (I love it). This could be something non-human, or maybe what’s left of Spooky’s mom/dad and/or mentor after Spooky had a bad reaction to getting back. Could also be someone who wasn’t even hurt by Spooky, but have a connection…
    A ‘message’ of sorts.

Heck, maybe Spooky hasn’t been rescued yet, and they’re there to use the head to find him o_o That would be a twist. That Amanda was literally in the group that saved Spooky.
Uhm.. or maybe my theorizing goes wild, and I should just go back to bed for a while xD

So, back to the page since theories run wild. As usual loving the art and how well made the expressions are made.

Detective Parker’s attitude. A lot of attitude. If it was something physical people might slip and fall around him, probably not liking that he’s not in charge even when it comes to a teenage girl. I could be wrong in this but some guys who are physical big, and used to be in charge, doesn’t like when they’re ‘outclassed’ by someone smaller who’s not impressed by him. So he gives attitude but never pass the line where it’s not ‘polite’.
The Colonel is clearly having non of it though 🙂

I like how Amanda hasn’t said a word yet, and just walk with her hands in her pockets. Casual teenage, but I feel pretty sure that’s about to change soon. The detective is probably up for a surprise or two.

    • Klaus

The question is not if your theorizing it wild. It is. The question is if it is wild enough.

  • Kit the Coyote

They have come for some head. *childish snickers*

    • Wayne Lunkwitz

I think the worst response to that would be “The rest rooms are in that direction Ma’am, help yourself.”

      • strangeangel24601

        I think you mean “best”.

  • Holly

Wow I wonder how Amanda and her mom will take Amanda being called “little girl” I mean she’s what…14 or 16 here right? Also I love Amanda’s mom

    • Sapfo

      She is 16.
I don’t know what my thoughts are of Lady Mom. She don’t give out a motherly feeling. More like “this family is like the armt/airforch. There are people taking orders and people giving them. Guess how you are?”
I might be wrong, but in the futur Amanda is no longer in the navy. Which can mean that she just left it, but she might have left more then just the navy.

      • Klaus

They are on the job now. She may behave differently in other situations.

  • Wayne Lunkwitz

I thought the snappy response from Amanda’s Mom was cool, but the story is still building. This could get very “interesting”.

  • Simba

I had such a nice bday party yesterday I forgot to come and say hi. 🙁 But I’m here now! I really like this backstory a lot… I love how Commander keeps her mouth shut even when being treated as though she were more like ten than sixteen. That would have been hard for me at that age so she definitely has some training of some kind already… Or a much more developed sense of manners at least. ^^ Also because she is so casual despite the fact she knows she’s about to go see a dismembered head. She’s cool as a cucumber. Definitely mature for her age… But she seemed that way in the ‘current’ timeline too, cool and collected for someone that young. (I’m old now, I’m allowed to say that) Anyway, I’m really excited to see where this is going and also very excited to see baby-Spooky! 😀

    • Happy (day late) Birthday Simba!

    • Klaus

We do not know that she keeps her mouth shot. “Little girl” is said in the last panel. She certainly does not hide her displeasure.

    • b3nc0

      Happy (page late) birthday ;°)

  • I can’t believe I fell asleep at 930 and missed this release >_<
I am loving this. I am very excited to not have to wait for this, not gonna lie. <3

  • Xalun K

“her little girl”???? God, what an ass. Show some respect, that “little girl” obviously about a thousand times more awesome than you are. *rolls eyes*

    • Jac

He’s just nervous because everyone in that room could probably kick his ass.

  • Acintyabedhabedhadasa

“They’re here to see the head.” Oh, you mean Col. Fury? Or is that what they call the toilets around here?
Or maybe this is one of those demon-wish things? (“I wish to be given head!”)
“Charleyboy”? Wasn’t that one of the Lectoid names from Buckaroo Banzai? “John Small Berries, John Charleyboy…”
    (Heh heh, sounds like “Girly-boy”)
I guess they’re about to find the body of…I was going to say Kyle’s prom date, but no, the continuity doesn’t work.

  • Jac

“Little girl” I henceforth name you Detective Eyebrows McDeebag.

  • Pikinanou

Don’t call someone who’s old enough to have a driver license ‘little girl’.
I get the feeling Mr. Detective will regret his words before the end of this bonus comic 🙂

    • Klaus

Never mind driver’s license. Little girls do not get clearence.

  • Terri Sutton

    I didn’t before, but now I do.

  • Sapfo

Little girl and the young man.
A ways to give and take power from one person.

By naming a 16 year old guy as a “young man”, it makes him to feel that he is almost an adult, ready to take responsibility. Maybe the word I’m looking for is respect. I do not think many would call 16 year old guy for “boy”.

On this page Amanda is however called a “little girl”, this can in certain people’s eyes be seen as something sweet and lovable, but for my part it is a very hierarchical way of thinking. Detectiv Parker would never call Colonel Charleyboy “little girl”. She is over him and obviously a person in a position of power. But naming 16-year-old Amanda “little girl” is not many who would oppose. It can even be considered appropriate to call women for little girls, even if they clearly and distinctly left childhood behind a long time ago.

But this is probably a sign of the patriarchal society, where young boys / men are seen as adult early, and where childhood and youth is emphasized in girls / women. Boys are encouraged to become princes and then kings with power, while girls are princesses who should remain princesses, never the queen who in several storys emerges as something bad, evil.

I remember that I reacted the first time I was called “young woman” instead of “girl”. There was something strange and something I had not thought of before. But when the person told me that I was not a girl anymore, I was a woman, I must admit that I liked it then and I do like it now. I’m an adult and no children anymore.

As for Amanda, she don´t really seems to like the idea of being thought of as a “little girl”. Break him in half Amanda!
    “You go, almost grown-up woman!”

    • Nicely said, Sapfo! It’s so so true.

    • I feel like if he wanted to be in any way respectful to Amanda, he would have used the term “young lady”

    • Sarah314159

Yes… A 16-year-old male might be called a “boy” sometimes, but nobody would ever refer to him as a *little* boy. And women continue to be called “girls” well into legal adulthood!

      • Sapfo

Calling a grown woman a “little girl” is not just a way to point out the ideal of youth that is on women, it is also a way of declare her a minor.

I been called girl as an adult, and by the right person, in the right manner, this will not a problem. But those times when the word girl is used to suppress me as an adult individual, then I accept it. And especially not from men like Detectiv Parker.

  • Yukiness

I have a funny feeling about that head

  • Klaus

It seems that everything happened six years ago. Or at least everything changed. Kyle discovered his powers. Spooky came back from Hell. As for the Annihilator, this is what Kyle’s research turned up: http://webcomics.yaoi911.com/archive/ete-ch2-page-4

  • Klaus

I thought that this would be obvious, but I see from comments below that there are some who have missed it. So let me point out that this is an excellent opportunity to abstain from remarks about things coming to a head, giving head and so on and so forth.

  • Ellen Harman

Here’s a question, is the Comander in the service? Is her name a rank or just a name? Remember Captain America is actually a captain in the army, he was never decommissioned, just listed as mia, presumed dead.

So if the Comander is a rank, is she in the service at this time and just in civis, because she’s top secret at this time?

    • Klaus

At 22 she is much too young to be a navy commander. No less so at 16. She is the commander of the Young Protectors. We know from the interlude that she alone decides how to spend the budget.

      • Jay Demetrick

Her name may also be an allusion to her powers. She has telepathy of some kind so she may be able to “command” people to do as she wants. A bit like Karma from Marvel’s New Mutants maybe?

  • Julio Vallarino

Parker…… he looks like a young Annihilator

    • Jac

      nO

  • Valja

“You’ll want to leave your daughter outside”
I swear I burst out laughing x’D knowing how badass the girl is gonna become in the near future (I know we still haven’t really seen her in action apart from one scene, but being the Commander of the Young Protectors must mean she’s got a real backbone. You know, having to put up with a squad of teenagers in the middle of hormonal crisis, with barely-controlled super powers – *casually thinking of Kyle and Paul* – and sometimes barely tolerable personalities – *casually thinking of Spooky <3* – makes you a real leader, if you survive and don't strangle them I mean)
The… head thing… had me taken aback o______o

    • Sarah314159

I’m thinking Commander became so badass partly because her mom set a great example of how to be badass, and partly because her life–and maybe her mom–kinda forced her to be.

I’ve gotta ask the question… Isn’t a parent expecting rather a lot of their 16-year-old kid (of whatever gender) by coolly taking that 16-year-old to view a severed head? Colenel Charleyboy may have set a pretty high standard of toughness that Amanda has been trying to live up to from a very young age.

And then Amanda gets to deal with douchebags like Detective Boy, probably frequently, and has probably built up an extra layer of toughness to defend herself against them.

Not a very happy adolescence. But she did come out of it as an awesome woman who saves lives on a regular basis.

      • Valja

You’re sooo right. But then, who among the Young Protectors hasn’t had a difficult childhood? Between Kyle’s personal rather tragic issues, Spooky’s sudden “trips” to Hell (and these two were even younger) and Paul’s dysfunctional powers (or at least that’s how I imagine his kind of power wielded by a very young boy)….
Woah, let’s say I’ve always “dreamed” of having super powers – who doesn’t? 😉 – but when I look at superheroes’ personal life struggles I’m suddenly glad I’m a simple human being 🙂
        Well, up until now…

  • bronakopdin

these days I’m so stressed I don’t even have time to check here orz
so without reading any discussion: we were all right to assume it was Amanda 😀
yeah I totally like her mother! She knows exactly what she wants… and your imaginary thoughbubbles add up to that impression, Alex ^^

  • amanda

yeah id be smacking “grease boy” in the mouth!
“Little girl” there could probably beat the crap out of him and tie him in knots with her hands tied behind her back.

  • strangeangel24601

Lt. Colonel Charleyboy just wants to help Amanda get ahead.

We’re into May already? Cool. We might get this done yet.

  • Klaus

Charleyboy must be an unusual name. This is what I have been able to find: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexis_Creek_First_Nation
We already know that Amanda is a native American. Is she one of the Tsilhqot’in?

  • Klaus

    Who is detective Boxer?

    • Sapfo

The female detectiv, if I got it right.

      • DC

I thought she was Detective Tutt, but I see the ‘ Featuring Colonel Charleyboy,Commander, Detective Boxer, Detective Parker, Doctor Baker’ above.

        • Sapfo

Do not trust me, I’m confused.

        • davefragments

Lieutenant Colonel Charleyboy is in uniform
          The Commander is a 16 y/o Amanda,
Detective Parker is the male jerk,
          Detective Tutt is a woman
Doctor Baker is wearing a white coat

          • DC

yeah no worries new all that, there was just a confusion because the name Tutt had changed to Boxer ( where it says featuring…..) between last page and this one, but it has been fixed now 🙂

      • Klaus

She is listed as detective Tutt in the featuring list on page one. But you must be right. So she changed her name from page one to page two.

        • It appears to have been fixed. 🙂 She is indeed Detective Tutt.

          • Jakk Anthony Guzman

Oh no! They got rid of Detective Boxer!!

          • Ha! Maybe that’s her first name. Boxer Tutt. 😀

  • Jackal

Who doesn’t love the thrilling narrative possibilities of a severed head? Commies, that’s who.

  • bronakopdin

I can’t help myself but like that disregarding look on Commanders face the whole time xD
like she totally doesn’t buy that detective’s attitude towards her… and just shuts up out of politeness… or because she was still so young at that point or because her mother is around and she knows fully well he’ll get his package from her ^^

  • Lot’s unneeded defense for Mandy… I think.

Detective Asshat is clearly only working to rile up big Mama Shark IMHO.

On page-1 he purposefully gets her title wrong “Lieutenant” Charleyboy. Nope… Lieutenant “Colonel”. I read each following slight “little girl”, “leave her out here”, “sayin, it’s not pretty”… Notice it’s all directed at Big Mama, who is definitely NOT BITING.

He’s a small asshat and (if she IS Amanda’s mom and she DOES report to the Commander In Chief) then DETECTIVE PARKER is just a bug under mom’s shoe. Notice at each slur, he’s NOT looking at Amanda, so he doesn’t clock her dark looks back. Notice further that Big Mommy does not come to her daughter’s defense. She’s letting her play in the big leagues and to learn to ignore what’s not important.

For this girl (sweet 16) to become THE COMMANDER we know in TYP six years later, she’s got some severe trials coming up. Kyle and Spooky aren’t the only ones who have to overcome adversity.

The verbal slights on this page will be as NOTHING to Amanda if she trains with the Navy Seals. My brother did time with US Marines Special Ops over a lifetime of Marine service. He told me that they are severe and the females are the toughest of the bunch with the most to prove.

So, I’m assuming that if Amanda survives a mother this tough, an early military career, which includes a bunch of Navy Seals who will eat her alive if they think she’s a pampered princess, and finally training in her “skill”.

Well, I suspect she’s got a world of “adversity” coming at her before she is OUR Commander. So Detective Asshat here is just a teeny tiny lesson that doesn’t seem to be effecting mommy at all. She’s forgotten him like yesterday’s news as she puts those gloves on.

    Amanda will too.

        • Well I have one that also has a mint taste to it and the other one is just regular butter cake dyed green. ^_^ So which one would you like?

  • *stumbles in for camping*
Good, I’m not late. It’s always a gamble when to show up at this time of year when US has had its day times saving and Europe hasn’t yet. This year it’s even 3 weeks where there’s that one hour less when it comes to timezones.

Only one hour less for a couple weeks every march and october, but it’s messing with my inner clock anyway. At least for the early campings xD

    • Morning Danish sweet!

There have been talks in the states about getting rid of the time changes.

      • silibub

I wouldn’t mind one bit. Adjusting to the switch is such a pain.

      • I would love it if they got rid of it.

      • Really? I don’t mind the time changes, it’s just that US does them before here so there’s that difference a couple times a year. I hope they won’t be stopped completely. Damn, that would make it different for a half year at the time. It’s already wonky with the few states that doesn’t acknowledge it.

        • I believe they were/are thinking of getting rid of it because of the negative impacts it has on sleeping patterns and blah blah blah blah.

          • davefragments

It’s supposed to save energy but it doesn’t. It’s supposed to help farmers but it doesn’t However, certain politicians hate anything that saves energy and other politicians are afraid that one or two farmers might actually like it and they are afraid of those two lone farmers. I’m cynical about this. It’s never going to change.

        • Elrohir

I don’t mind the changes too much. But could one of our resident Aussies please explain to me the concept of the half hour time zone for Adelaide? I mean, I get that neither Queensland nor South Australia want to do daylight savings at all, but a half hour time zone? Come on folks (India has them too). At the equator the Earth is a shade under 25,000 miles (24.9 something) so a bit over a thousand miles per time zone works out pretty well. Time zones every 500 miles? Just makes no sense to me. Sorry for the mini-rant.

      • davefragments

Don’t get your hopes up. You have to remember that politicians have IQ’s one step above turnips. Several can’t even talk without shoving their feet in their mouths.

  • Just wondering, but is anyone’s else’s Disqus Dashboard doing weird things? Like when you click to go to your dashboard or refresh it you get an image of food stuffs and text saying “What People are Talking About?”

    • Yes. Mine is totally unusable, just as you describe.

      • On that screen to get to my dashboard I have to click on the Disqus link on the top left and then to actually get to my information, I have to click on “Me” “Home Feeds” or “Replies” depending on which one I want…..

        VERY ANNOYING…..

        • Indeed. Thanks for the tip. It’s like they’re trying to turn this piece of software into something entirely different that 800 other pieces of software already do… and they’re doing it badly.

          • davefragments

Would it comfort you to know that the very first person I met at a computer center when I was in college back in 1969 (yes that’s the year) was that condescending and arrogant about his programs. He could do it better than anyone else.

          • Elrohir

I think I met that guy. Sarcasm dripping for anybody who couldn’t appreciate the brilliance of his code because clearly he was the smartest guy in the room?

          • Yeah, they are just that smart though aren’t they. Look what we can do and we still complain and I’m just a simple tech-user.

There was a (ironically trans-gender programmer who went through the change in front of us over several years) at a company I worked for, who was so brilliant that he/she’d take huge cumbersome software constructs from others and turn them into tiny lithe code of elegance that ran 100 times as fast and was practically bugless. He/She was so smart that you really couldn’t do anything but nod and say thank you and make sure they were happy.

I’m sorta off point here, but, what I most remember was how unhappy a young man he looked for the first couple of years I knew him and then when the change was done how happy and really pretty she was. It really says something about the value of truly being yourself.

Regardless, he/she was always brilliant in that way that make normal folk like me just look on in wonder.

          • I so understand.

I worked at a corp with a guy who, over 3-4 years, became a very much happier girl. But was always about 17 light years smarter than anyone in the building. He/She was always nice though. You could give him someone else’s clunky giant code and he/she’d hand you back some truly elegant bug-free code about 1/10th the size of the original and 10x as fast and that was just breathing for her.

Yep she was the kinda smart that made me just make sure she was very happy with her office and equipment.

I know when I’m miles out of my league.

The core truth is that when he finished transition from sour miserable little boy to happy and very pretty woman, he smiled and continued to be brilliant.

Says a lot about a lot of inner truths I think. My only hard job was calming down older secretaries when he/she was inbetween and using the ladies room…

Big stuff as you can tell. LOL.

          • davefragments

The place where I worked had a M-F transition.

We also had hassles about a washroom but the building was large enough that there was one lonely bathroom that could serve as “both” sexes for a few months.

What most people don’t realize is that before that transition is a whole heap of bad stuff for transgender person. After the transition that all goes away.

          • Elrohir

And do it in a way guaranteed to make them a name in the market. Sigh…as one of my old friends who is a programmer likes to say:
“The problem with most programmers was that while the design requirement was simple and elegant their response always seems to be complex and wonderful .”

          • It’s the “wonderful” bit we seem to be missing. Not so much… you know?

  • Simba

    I’m here to camp! Freezing my toes right off because I just painted them and so I can’t put socks on. T.T;

  • Sapfo

Two days of searching for my medical certificate from the doctor and I’ll find it at the bottom of the bag. I feel incredibly grateful that I found it, while the former irritation begins to recede. My boss will not get mad at me and I can now spend my time camping. Phu!

    • Yay!

    • *hugs* Morning Sapfo love! Glad you found it and that your boss won’t get mad at you!

      • Sapfo

        Hug you back!

        • I am glad we were able to catch Hamlet’s ls. ^_^ Makes me excited for the next page. ^_^

          • Sapfo

            Don´t it always?
Hamlet is a tease, but in the best way. ^_^

          • ^_^ Yep. Even though this is the last chapter I am so excited and am loving how she is telling the story. ^_^ I still have my fingers crossed for what happened in my dream to happen in the comic. ^_^

          • Sorry, for me Hamlet is in the “I’ve taken too many hallucinogens phase” and I personally need a little more grounded info. I’m kinda rolling my eyes at the disconnect at the moment.

            But hey that’s just me.

          • Sapfo

Don´t worry. The dream scene will be over soon. and then she will get back to the sex… drama I mean.

          • *giggles*

          • HA. You know me too well.

  • Clef

I brought marshmellows for the camping. And chocolate. 🙂

    • Sapfo

      I brought some coffee….sorry I drank it all -_-

      • Clef

D: not the coffehs! *flails helplessly*

        • Sapfo

          @admiraljane:disqus
Could you please bring some more coffee, Please! ^_^

          • *points to the table with large coffee maker and espresso maker* All set up.

          • Clef

:O *coffee zombie lurch-and-shuffles to table*

            O_O Let’s do this.

            >_> I get kinda punchy and silly when I’m this tired.

          • Enjoy!

          • Clef

            XD hahaha! Coffee, thank you!

That was a very unexpected reply. I think this bunch has been so far, some of the most civil and kind people I’ve had exchanges with on internet forums. Good job to you all for that.

          • That’s one of the many reasons why this fandom is so special. 🙂

          • That better not be a segué into my next comment or you’re in trouble missy. 🙂

          • What did you do, Ray?

          • Elrohir

            The Stay-Puff Marshmallow Man?
            AWESOME! 🙂

          • (was going to go into how The Stay-Puff Marshmallow Man is hers, but her brain is shutting down and she will be sleeping soon)

          • Yay! Someone got it. 😀

          • Sapfo

            You are the best!

I only have fruits with me today. bananas and oranges.
Stop putting them on there like balls and dicks, we’re adults 😉

          • *stops peeling orange* What?

          • Sapfo

            Nothing ^_^

          • If you guys start discussing the finer details of coffee enemas again I swear I’ll go and find your virgin and beat him up!!! 😛

          • Sapfo

            Oh no, my innocent brain

          • 0_o Sapfo has an innocent brain???

          • Sapfo

            Don´t I? o.O

          • Erm… I guess if you don’t know by now… then… sure she does. 🙂

          • Sapfo

I’ve fooled them all. Now that no one is looking……

          • Funny, but that’s just what I was thinking.

          • That was not me!! I do not subscribe to that newsletter.

          • You’d be surprised how many people say that.

          • Yes, well, I do not subscribe to that newsletter.

          • I hate to break it to you but you’re still just one person agreeing with yourself. Peace out. 🙂

          • 😛

I’m afraid may have to cancel your snewsletter.

  • Sapfo

    ELFQUEST!
    ….
    ….
    ….
sorry, I just had to share -_-

    • (deep breath)
      SPINDRIFT!
      Okay I had to share.

      • Sapfo

        Yay!
Comics that prompt the brain to drool.

        http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=msQPHxTUgzI

      • Yay, Spindrift! 😉

Clearly I have a fellow fan in you now.

        • Sapfo

Why does it feel as if I press up comics in people’s faces, saying, “Love them! Love them!” 0_0

          • Well probably because I do that with books. You with comics, some with Film, or Theatre. We want to share stuff that blows our imaginations away.

I guess I’m guilty of doing it with a few from each category… HA.

          • Sapfo

Well I do have some books, but most of the things I like sharing are things that are hard to find if you are not searching for it. The other things people will find in time.

          • Makes sense. One of my fave broadway shows was THE DROWSY CHAPERONE… It’s a whole show where an odd fella who is bonkers for 1940’s musicals acts like you’re in his apartment and he pulls out an old album of one of his passionate favorites and plays it for you kind of narrating the whole thing.

Of course it comes alive in his apartment. It’s hysterical and it’s all about sharing the art you love most. It makes you a little crazy. 🙂

          • Sapfo

A little crazy is good. A problem is always finding the good crazy.

          • Very true that…

          • Sapfo

Chris, Are you busy? Want to talk?

          • Clef

I do that all the time with interesting/amazing things. Art. Books. Movies. TV shows people might have missed.

          • OH!! You know the other day I was saying how I really enjoyed different takes on fairy tales?

Mercedes Lackey, wonderful woman, has an Elemental Masters series and a Tales from the 500 Kingdoms series that deal with some interesting versions.

What I really like is how in the 500 Kingdoms they have this force that is called “The Tradition” and it tries to make tales come true. It is up to the Godmothers to try to prevent them from becoming tragedies and working around the “Tradition”. As many happy ending fairy tales, there are quite a few with gruesome ends/elements that they try to prevent. Being a Godmother is hard work. ^_^ But I absolutely love those stories. ^_^

          • They are very creative books. Smart writer.

          • Sapfo

I prefer Lynn Flewelling to Mercedes Lackey. That and Tanya Huff.

          • Love Tanya.

          • Sapfo

            She is good.
I think I have to reread some of her books. They are diffrent then most fantasy. I have not read that many of her SciFi.

          • It’s tricky now there are so many subgroups

hard sci fi – where they really try and make the science work

Soft sci-fi = where anything is possible

Fantasy = same but often in another AU or world

Urban fantasy = where it’s magic or mythology but set in and aroudn our world.

NOW — recently add romance to any category and you have vampires and werewolves with enormous penises who are all very good looking and have no or a very short refractory period.

            😀

          • Sapfo

Well, how don´t like a good werewolves story with big dicks.
I am just sad that they messed up “Blood ties”. It could have been good.

          • They aren’t always great. True that. I’m a bit over the werewolf thing myself. Until someone writes a great one. HA.

          • Sapfo

Me, I am kind of into the mystery period right now.
The Adrien English Mysteries is one of them.

          • Have you read the Mercy Thompson series?
They’re quite good, and they don’t even have mentions of large penises – or a lot of sex for that matter 😉

It also has a spin-off series called Alpha & Omega (starts in an anthology you need to read first, but after that full novels). Can be read after Mercy, book 3.

          • I just picked up my first since you rec’d it the other day. I just have this giant stack on my iPad so it has to wait a bit. I’m terrible anytime someone who’s taste I like suggest new books I grab em before I forget. LOL.

          • Elrohir

Absolutely NOTHING wrong with that. I figure if folks can have a wine cellar on hand there is no reason that I can’t have a “book cellar” to choose from. 🙂

          • I like the way you think!

          • Elrohir

I’m addicted to both the Mercy Thompson series and Faith Hunter’s Jane Yellowrock series. Both great female leads.
But I have to agree with Chris that there are a lot of Were novels out there that are basically just cover art eye candy.

          • Have you also read Alpha & Omega then? .. and have you read the whole new Mercy-book that came out last week? I like it 🙂 Damn things there’s a whole year to the next A&O book, but we get that Mercy-verse anthology in between so that’s good 😀

          • Haven’t heard of them….I will add them to my list.

          • Sapfo

            You should.
I think you would enjoy Luck in the shadows.

          • Elrohir

You won’t go wrong with either one.

          • Elrohir

Two great adds Sapfo. I think I prefer the “Nightrunner” series by Flewelling to her “Tamir” series. I love Tanya Huff’s “Blood” series though I wish she would have done more books in the “Smoke” spin off from there. I think my favorite of hers was the “Keeper Chronicles”. I’m liking your taste in authors. 🙂

          • Elrohir

Too funny…I’m just finishing “Take a Thief” for maybe the 8th time having re-read “Exile’s Honor” and “Exile’s Valor” on the airplanes and trains this week.

          • *squeeeeee* Her Valdamar series was how I first found her! I actually read the second book of the “owl” trilogy first. I was so mad at myself when I realized that, I am usually really good about that!

  • OK I have a question. I have this hugs bottle of Irish Cream in my fridge. What liquids can I add it to other than coffee?

    • ICE.

      • mogoskier

        ice cream

        • silibub

The woman asks for liquids and y’all show up with solids smh

          • smh = ?

          • silibub

            shaking my head, haha

          • Thanks. You never run out of ones you don’t know.

          • silibub

I pick up weird things from tumblr.

          • I tried to send you a hello note on Tumblr once because I have very little idea what I’m doing on that. Did you ever get it?

          • silibub

Yeah, I sent you a thing back! Tumblr probably ate it, it’s finnicky that way.

          • I’ll check again… gad. I’ll get it eventually. thanks.

    • Lillihandra

I personally like it with Almond Milk, Creamer and Buttershots, but I’m weird like that.

    • DC

Depends if you want to up the alcohol level in your drink or not. I’ve mixed Southern Comfort with Baileys Irish cream before. Gives it an extra kick.

      • ….hmmmm who can I trick into buying me Southern Comfort….

        • Forget the trick… trade half the So comf for 1/2 of the whiskey you want… Voila!

    • Sharon Kerr-Bullian

If you’ve got the ingredients for it, you could try a grasshopper – Irish Cream, Kahlua, Creme de Cacao, Creme de Menthe, and Vodka 🙂

      • No, but i need to remember that!

        • Sharon Kerr-Bullian

Back when I used to drink, it was one of my favorites. I don’t drink anymore though, several years on a medication that interacts badly with alcohol pretty much obliterated my alcohol tolerance – half a bottle of beer leaves me snoozing, so I really don’t drink at all.

          • Condolences m’lady. That explains your lack of tolerance for bag pipes. *chris nods wisely*

          • Sharon Kerr-Bullian

Nah, what explains my lack of tolerance is having to listen to Scotland the Brave on the pipes a hundred times a day, four days a week, for eight weeks. I loved my job, but for the love of whatever god(s) a person chooses to believe in, couldn’t the pipers have learned some new tunes?! Annoying the jousting knights and squires is a good way to end up in the stocks!

  • Sapfo

It feels like I have to abandon you all the time. Apparently I have to work and my boss likes it when I come on time. Hope for a good new page. Join you on the train.

  • Okay… see how quiet it gets. Danish is all lurky. Sapfo pretends to head for the train… StickFigure is probably refreshing like mad… get’s all new page creepy around here. Spooky old page……………..

    • stickfigure will be heading to a conference tomorrow so she is getting ready for that…not sure if she will pop in or not

      • I didn’t know THAT, but I do know that people are really working and studying, but it does get quiet…… 🙂

    • Sapfo

I do not pretend. I´m brushing my teeth. I soon go out through the door.

    • I’m lurky-ish. Just not talking much this morning. I’m in a weird mood, maybe because I feel a headache or migraine could be coming my way *ugh* -_-

      • VIRGIN HUNTING MIGRAINE or real we feel super bad for you migraine. My Sis in Law gets the bad ones and I swear to god it’s so awful.

        • I suffer from bad headaches, sometimes lasting for days on/off (mostly on) but real migraines is luckily not too often. The headaches are more than enough! I think it’s the weather pressure causing them this time.

          • So sorry, that’s just hateful. Feell better.

          • Thank you 🙂

          • Sharon Kerr-Bullian

I’ve been there with the migraines, so I’m really praying that it’s not a migraine you’re coming down with 🙂

          • Elrohir

Having just spent the weekend near Malmö I can attest that the weather has been pretty changeable around there recently. I hope you feel better soon.

      • *hugs* Awwww I hope it isn’t a bad one if it does come. 🙁 *nows this has nothing to do with a headache, but massages Danish’s shoulders*

  • Lillihandra

I don’t know whether to be glad for the insomnia letting me camp, or annoyed because I have work tomorrow. I’m going to go with a little of both…

    • I’ve so been there… and you watch the clock and think… CRAP.

      • Lillihandra

Well, I’ve also been sick, so I’ve spent maybe 12 hours awake the last three days. That’s probably contributing.

        • I was out with a bad cold for about three days through the weekend and sent some really odd emails on cold meds……. I still have friends shaking their heads.

          • Elrohir

Wait…is this like your wanting to be able to blame the Commander for your behavior (“She made me do it!”)? Or more like the time your automatic toaster oven took over the flat and commanded you to write strange e-mails? 🙂

          • Yes rather exactly like that. Thank you! The key bit is that it’s not MY fault. LOL.

  • Diana_Christine

Hello Campers! I join you with a bottle of whiskey in my hand! How are you all tonight?

    • And damn she’s got bottle and is ready for a head in the morgue. I like your spunk.

Edit: I mean that in the clean kick-ass way.

      • Diana_Christine

That’s how I roll! Whiskey ALL the time. Especialy when there are heads just chilling in morgues.

    • ….are you sharing the whiskey?

      • Diana_Christine

        maybe a little!

        • Well, if you are, I would like to have some please?

        • Elrohir

Is it permitted to ask what your favorite whisky is? Or do you have a special for morgue viewing?

  • Adam Black

    disqus hates me tonight

    • All of us… ONly Doki figured it out.

      • On that weird page click DISQUS in the upper left and then home feed and you’re sorta back to normal.

        • And you have to go through the same thing anytime you refresh. >-(

        • Adam Black

          wait, what?

          • When you click for dashboard you get a weird page (follow cooks as shite)… click on the word DISQUS in the upper left screen corner then click on home feed and you are sorta back to normal.

    • I sorta went off at Disqus on twitter, in a polite way. Now to see who dares reply to me this time. My guess is ‘Q’. I have a feeling he/she is like ‘Oh no, her again’ xD

      • Disqus, Yahoo and everyone wants to be Facebook and they’re on their way to sucking… I don’t get it.

      • Adam Black

        o
        it used to be good

    • Sapfo

      But I love you.

      • Adam Black

        as much as those strawberries?

        • You just want a cuddle. A strawberry cuddle.

          • Lillihandra

Sounds fun! Can I bring some hot fudge? Strawberries go great with hot fudge!

          • See these things always start with Sapfo and Adam… every time. (shakes head).

          • Sapfo

Oh come on. You love it. Put on a kilt and join the fun ^_^

          • Lillihandra

:/ But the strawberries will stain the kilt. NO KILT. Off with the kilt. The kilt stays in the corner until we’re done with the strawberries.

          • Sapfo

            But…but I love strawberrys and kilts. Don’t make me choose ;_;

          • Lillihandra

Hmmm… If only there was a way to make a kilt out of strawberries…

          • Lillihandra
          • No complaints with that second image at all!!!

          • Sapfo

I claim thouse. Both of them. Mine. My precious

          • Lillihandra

Since I found them, can I have a nibble?

          • Sapfo

Well…. Not on the strawberrys. Thouse are mine 😉

          • Lillihandra

*sigh* Fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine… But I’m keeping some of the hot fudge for the nibbling of the other one…

          • Sharon Kerr-Bullian

Hot fudge with strawberries? There’s only one way to eat strawberries – with cream… now I feel so dirty!

          • Lillihandra

Yeah, but cream doesn’t stick as well.

          • Sharon Kerr-Bullian

Why does it have to stick? It’s just as much fun to lick the cream off the strawberries before it drips off. It’s like the challenge of eating ice cream before it melts, but without the brain freeze.

          • Lillihandra

I suppose, but I like taking it slow and leisurely. Of course, you have to be careful who you do it around or it won’t just be strawberries you’ll be licking cream off of…

          • Sharon Kerr-Bullian

lol, so many comments to make, and none of them clean. Oh my.

          • Lillihandra

O.o We’re commenting on a comic that showed a guy cumming so hard he transported himself and his lover to another dimension. Since when are we worried about clean?

          • Sharon Kerr-Bullian

Well, my dear, a lot of those comments involved reactions to me licking cream off strawberries, and I just don’t want that kind of reputation 😉

          • Lillihandra

            And HOT FUDGE!

          • Sharon Kerr-Bullian

Honestly, I’m not too crazy about hot fudge, about the only time I’ll eat that is with a molten fudge cake. You can have all the hot fudge 😉

          • Lillihandra

Mmmmm… Tell you what, I’ll keep the hot fudge, you keep the cream, and we’ll take turns with the nummies of other sorts. Deal?

          • Sharon Kerr-Bullian

            Deal!

          • A strawberry lick to hell is not a good reputation to have.

          • Sharon Kerr-Bullian

            That’s for sure!

          • Tragical… simply tragical.

          • Ummm there is “brain freeze” just of a different kind. LOL.

          • Sharon Kerr-Bullian

            Haha, true that.

          • Elrohir

Annd…that brings to mind the old, old joke:
FEMALE TOURIST: “I’ve always wondered, is anything worn under the kilt?”
KILT WEARING SCOT: “Why nothing at all Madam, everything is in perfect working order!”
**Yes, yes, I know…but that joke is older than most of you and it deserves the occasional outing.**

          • Sharon Kerr-Bullian

The old jokes are often the best ones. That did come up at my prom when one of the fellas showed up in a kilt – apparently, he did go traditional – very brave indeed!

          • Indeed. My kinda prom

          • Sharon Kerr-Bullian

lol, it was a fun prom. I may not have been popular in high school, but suddenly, I had a bunch of friends I didn’t know I had.

It’s like all the LGBTQ kids finally sussed each other out, it was neat!

          • Elrohir

Attended a wedding last September near Glasgow. Close to 40% of the men were wearing kilts. They looked awesome. Love that tradition.

          • Sharon Kerr-Bullian

Nice! I gotta say I love that tradition too, but I would say that, I’m Scottish by blood, even if I did grow up in England 😉

          • Lillihandra

            ^_^ Excellent!

          • HA!

          • I have a kilt picture FOR YOU… but I think I have to send it off-line…

          • Send it for me too!

          • Sapfo

            Send it to us ^_^

          • Done.

          • Sapfo

You look good in a kilt 😉
            Thank you

          • You are all bad!

          • ….I thought you knew that already? ^_^

          • Sapfo

Sorry, I try to behave. But it was not a good look on me 😉
But it was a good kilt pic. I like the tradition of kilts

          • ….very very nice…..^_^ The kilt looks very good on you. ^_^

          • I wanna see it!!!

          • Sapfo

            Please be a selfie!

          • HA… I wish.

        • Sapfo

Hmm? Can i cover you in strawberrys?

          • Yep she’s innocent alright.

          • Sapfo

            Jupp ^_^

          • Adam Black

I prefer rasberries- unless they are the small wild strawbewerries that taste like crunchberries

          • Particular fella isn’t he?

          • Adam Black

Please, i bet your list o kinks reads like the bridal registry at soothbys

          • Sharon Kerr-Bullian

Oh sheesh, now I can’t be the only one who’s wondering what someone would do with silver donkeys and honeycombs?

          • Adam Black

            a new breakfast cereal?

          • Sharon Kerr-Bullian

lol, sure, why not? Honey Donkey cereal, now with silver sugar donkeys!

          • I do not deny it. I have taste and I taste good.

          • Sapfo

It’s berrie and I love most of them. Blue, red, sour, sweet. Love them all

    • Adam Black

      its so evil tonight.

took close to 50 pageloads, and dash wont come up

  • Who wants to bet on Alex having gone out for special organic whole grain flour for his baking tonight. AJ is a health nut, she probably convinced him.

    • Sapfo

But it’s good for us. All the cookies and candy have made us… Well you know… The f word

      • Lillihandra

        Fabulous!

      • DO NOT DROP THE F-BOMB AROUND PEOPLE ON DIETS… IT’S JUST NOT RIGHT. 🙂

        • Adam Black

too late. she sright, we are fat

      • Adam Black

        No snacks tonight.
he closed early. an I left late.
No free sandwiches and ben and jerrys

and its cold outside, so i told myself the walk home would have to be my icecream,

and there was a a pile of frozen snow left on the sidewalk,

that was frozenish like a giant italian ice,

so I kicked it thinking it would shatter everywhere,

but it didnt move at all, which was odd,

and then I felt the shockwave up my leg from the kick which was really stupid,

becuase I have nerve damage and all impacts are bad, and I realized that the snow was frozen solid ice, but the

painkillers I am on probably stopped me from noticing banging my toe into it, but oddly enough the shock still hurts like was kicked in the shin,

so that really want a flavor of icecream I would recommend
        back to my overheated room.
im shirtless, its 80+ in here.

        • Sapfo

Give Adam three of my ex virgins to cheer him up. Have fun Adam!
(And do not do what you did with Stickys -_0)

          • Adam Black

            what No Bloodpressos, just sex?

well, OK , but i dont have a starter cock. Think you can break them in for me?

          • Sapfo

            Hrmm!

I don´t think you have to worry about that. I got over 20 virgins all in my harem.
When ever I get a new one I cover them in chocolate and open up the door to the harem. Always the next morning, they are all laying about with a stupid grins on their faces and the chocolate is gone. I don´t really know what they do, but they seems happy.

  • Lillihandra

OH! While I’m thinking about it… I came across this and thought it described enough of us to make it worth sharing:

    http://themetapicture.com/both-is-good/

    • Oh that is nice. Thanks. I have girlfriend who LOVES a good mix. I’ll pass that on.

    • Elrohir

      Umm…both is good. 🙂

  • *looks at comments number*
Heh, we have just about doubled the number of comment for this page during camping so far. There was only around 220 comments earlier.
Few compaired to ‘normal’ these days. Maybe Alex is waiting for us to hit a ‘normal’ before the new page is up 😉

    • Lillihandra

      O.O EVIL. He better not!

    • Don’t you think he really wants to go to bed too. LOL.

    • Sapfo

What ever Alex is doing, I think I might take a break now

  • EMR has updated! And don’t forget that it is two pages!! http://elanmeetsrafa.com/the-comic/ch20pg9/

And if you are one of those that is still unacquainted with the story, you can begin reading it here: http://elanmeetsrafa.com/the-comic/

  • Holly

I went to the next page to comment on it before going to bed, seeing as i was sure i missed camping. but no none yet. Sadly, I am still about to go to bed. So I missed camping and still have to bow out of the Hunt early.

    • Sharon Kerr-Bullian

      Goodnight Holly 🙂

    • ‘Nite!

    • Sleep well.

    • Awwww *hugs* I might have to leave soon too, I am getting tired. Sweet dreams Holly love!

    • Lillihandra

G’nite! If I had any sense, I’d follow you. Damn curiosity.

  • Well since the talk has been a lot about kilts tonight, I thought I’d share one of my favorite ‘make me smile’ songs: The drunk Scotsman..

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZ35SOU9HTM&feature=related

    • Lillihandra

Love it! Was especially funny for me because it was my dad who first introduced me to it (very straight-laced, conservative person).

    • Sharon Kerr-Bullian

Oh dear, I’ve heard that one so often it’s crazy. That one’s a perennial favorite for Renaissance Fair performers. But… I’d much rather listen to a hundred renditions of this rather than a hundred of Scotland the Brave on the bagpipes. I love the bagpipes, but when Scotland the Brave is the only one they know, I’d rather fall on my own sword.

    • Oh I do love that one.

  • The colors will be work-in-progress, but the page should be up soon. Within the next 15 minutes, methinks. 🙂

    • METHINKS — Danish has been talking about bagpipes and it’s wearing off on him. Oh my.

      • Methinks there is naught wrong with methinks!

        • Methinks I never implied there was but methinks that… oh bother… never mind. 🙂

          • Snirk!

          • Sapfo

Me-want-also-to-think. Can I join the methink club? Please 🙂

          • Methinks that is a wonderful idea. 🙂

    • Lillihandra

I should go to bed… but I really really want to see the new page go up… but I should go to bed… but I really really want to see the new page go up…

Fuck it, they put up with people coming in with hangovers, they can put up with me being a little extra tired tomorrow.

    • stickfigurefairytales

Hey, I made it in time!

      • Yay! You made it stickfigure, how are the preparations going?

        • stickfigurefairytales

Okay, although I still have to finish packing. >_<

          • stickfigurefairytales

            Thank you for asking!

          • Yeah, packing is always the thing that takes the longest. Gotta check and double check to make sure nothing is forgotten.

          • stickfigurefairytales

            Yep!

          • Elrohir

Okay…geeking out a bit here. I travel a lot for work, and I find that packing everything in the exact same spot in the suitcase helps immensely. Because then I can look at the suitcase and do a pattern check that I haven’t forgotten anything (lists don’t work as well for me for some reason…I’m a visual pattern type of guy). I can pack for a two week trip in less than 30 min usually, which makes some of my friends/family completely crazy. Mind you…it’s pretty basic. I’m not what one would refer to as a “fashion plate”. 🙂

          • stickfigurefairytales

I don’t think I’d be able to do that – I usually have to pack things so tightly that it would be hard to put keep something in the same spot every time. But I do lay things out on my bed before I pack them!

    • Elrohir

Wait…did Alex just kick off a hunting frenzy? 🙂
Time to take my novice self to the sidelines to avoid being trampled.

      • silibub

I’ll wait with you and we can split some popcorn.

        • Elrohir

          THAT is a plan!

    • Lillihandra

      Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooon…

  • Okay I just gotta say that Alex’s TOUGH has an add on the upper right just above the counter for comments and that is one good picture of a good kiss, and I think that every time I see it. Not easy to render a good kiss like that. Lip lock fer sher.

  • .. and The Silence start as the hunter instinct comes forward for the readers 😉

    • silibub

Or if you’re me, if the “wait until some kind soul posts that the page is up” instinct comes forward!

      • HA!

        • silibub

I’m just too lazy to hit refresh, how sad is that?

          • Not a bit. Sounds rather wise. I’m retiring for the exact same reason… well and that my refresh button finger is a bit sore.

    • The headache fades as she scents her prey….

      • Sadly no :-/

.. but that doesn’t stop me. It only slows me down >.>

        • Sympathies… hope it’s long gone and forgotten (the headache). xo

    • Sharon Kerr-Bullian

*English Nature Documentarian Voice* “Observe the beginning of the hunt. Soon the helpless virgin will emerge from the net, only to be pounced upon by the silent hunters…”

      • I feel all BBC WORLD… *shivers*

        • Sharon Kerr-Bullian

I pretty much grew up listening to the voice of David Attenborough (that and Doctor Who). My parents were so good to me.

          • Indeed… one of the lucky ones.

          • Adam Black

            jellybaby?

          • Sharon Kerr-Bullian

Oh, ew, no, they never agreed with me. I have the same problem with Flintstones Gummy Vitamins. You can have all the jellybabies.

    • stickfigurefairytales

I would join in the running, but the whole thing got kind of ruined for me.

      • ??

        • stickfigurefairytales

It was that stuff that Adam was saying when I got the virgin for this page.

          • Adam Black

Im sorry, I thought we were just playing pretend.

i wamted to respond days ago, but disqus wouldnt let me respond since saturday

          • stickfigurefairytales

We’re good now, Adam! No worries on the responding thing, since I wasn’t able to get the replies until now anyway.

          • Adam Black

            Thats good.

Disqus has been crazy flaky and I couldnt track comments since then.. again.

          • Adam Black

            I was trying to be a fun-bringer —not a fun-spoiler,
( its rare that I participate in that , in any form )

Please forgive me and i promise to be silent on your future hunts.

          • stickfigurefairytales

I forgive you! Sorry that I wasn’t able to reply earlier, as I just got back from being away at a conference. 🙂

          • Adam Black

            Where were you at ?

            anything fun. interesting city

im in Boston. Its a touristy city.

          • stickfigurefairytales

I was in Orlando, which was a lot of fun! Then I got home, turned around and went off again, this time to St. Paul, MN to see some friends. I’ll be here until Friday, so I’m probably going to miss camping for this Wednesday too, sadly. But I’ll definitely be back for Saturday’s update!

          • AB is a good dude… as am I. Sometimes we get carried away with the fun-dom at TYP. It’s never intentional. I hope you’ll give it another chance and you have the skills to beat Danish and Sapfo to those virgins. I’ve retired. They need a real challenge or they’ll become lazy hunters.

Don’t quit on AB’s account. Remember your Virgins are yours and yours alone and (regardless of what AB says) wouldn’t give him the time of day.

Let him get his own virgins.

            Go Sticky!!!!

          • stickfigurefairytales

Thanks, Chris! Adam and I have worked everything out, and we’re totally cool now. 🙂

          • Thou doth rocketh. 🙂

  • Chris S
