Oh, that smile. I wonder what The Annihilator is thinking…

(In a process note, I debated about adding “2 Hours Later” as a caption up top. If folks seem to be confused by this new page, I’ll do that. If not, my personal belief is that the fewer captions, the better. ) Yep, I like I thought, the jump from to this page from the last was a bit too abrupt, so I’ve added a caption. Thank you very much for your feedback. Hopefully it’s clear now for everyone.

I didn’t know there would be a bonus page, so I am very happy! The fact that A-team’s still in the same suit he was wearing in the previous page does give one the idea that this is within the same “scene,” as it were, but the time stamp would be pretty awesome too, if only to see how it would look.

…A-team makes looking innocent disturbingly easy. He also makes manipulating Kyle look easier than being lazy.

Okay, first things first.
I absolutely LOVE the dynamic and perspective and color and literally everything in panel 1. I don’t know if it’s just me, but it sets a really nice mood.
Also, I really love Mr. A’s “I’m-not-doing-any-harm-here-I-promise”-faces vs panel 7. You scared the living daylight out of me!
I got a little confused with panel 2 and 3, with Anni adressing Kyle before greeting him.

But in case I didn’t make it clear enough: This page is a precious gem with lovely, pleasant colours, pencils, that I have meant to compliment for a long time because they are gorgous and so, so dynamic and a story development, that I certainly did not forsee.

I am SO looking forward to saturday and you three have the most successfull, awesome week!

I felt SO bad for Anni when he was giving Kyle those sad puppy dog eyes. Then the last panel and that smile, and all my sympathy melted.

I wonder if Anni cares for Kyle at all or if he feels he just has a new plaything?

Also, I’m impressed that Kyle was able to track him down post rescue. Was Anni just waiting in that Alley the whole time?

I find it interesting that one half of people seem to love Anni more for the last panel, seeing him as the shamelessly evil BAMF character and the other half of people hate him for being so immortal. It’s like the divide between those who want fictional morality to be the same as real life and the those who want to indulge in the forbidden while in the safety of fiction.

I announce myself on as being on the fence. I like morals when the story is sending a message to the real world. I prefer immorality the rest of the time. I should have been born a super villain. I’d wear suits like Anni. teehee

Long time reader and follower of your stories, Alex, but I have to break my silence for some feedback on this page.

Overall: love it. It’s brilliant. The pacing, the art, the colors. Especially adore Anni’s wicked smile in that final panel. Heart-wrenching, it is! In the worst (and yet best ways!)

However, going from the last page, to this one, it being the same scenery, but with Kyle in new clothes, I admit to feeling a little whip-plashed and confused: had time passed? Did Kyle suddenly get out of his supersuit to chase after his “nemesis”? Where are the others?

I hadn’t realized, until I read your comments on the page, that time HAD passed! I think it should be addressed/visualized on the page somehow. A small caption, just to mark the passage of time, as it isn’t terribly clear. Maybe even, if you print this book, a blank page between this one and the last would suffice, and would avoid the whole cluttering up of the page with a caption.

Just a thought. =D
