Thank you for all the comments, everyone! Winona and I really appreciate hearing your thoughts. (I’m like obsessively checking this site throughout the day to see if anyone’s added anything… You are my addiction. And I love you.)

Oh, I’ve posted some new icons at the bottom of the Links Page! Be sure to check those out. (I’m curious, though—is anyone actually using them? Should I keep adding more icons or are you all not into that sort of thing? Let me know in the comments!)

Winona and I loved reading all your speculation about that last page. We kept checking into the comments all week—lots of fun. (Honestly, they were really well-thought out accounts and I still think the “Trinity” comment by Iiro H. should be canon…) There were a bunch of theories: alien parasite attack, android berserker massacre, a firefight the androids got caught in the crossfire of, the androids are the rescue team, the androids are the killers… Good stuff.

So, what are folks thinking now? We’d love to hear more. 😀

Oh, and if you get a chance, please click on the ads I’ve put up below the comic pages. I don’t get paid per click or anything—advertisers rent the space by time—but they are helping to make this comic possible in a really big way, so it’d be great if we could show them some love. And most of the time the ads are for other webcomics, which are just kind of cool to check out anyway, IMHO…

Hoo, boy! What a week. An evil hacker from Kaliningrad tried to turn my little webcomic into a zombie spam site, so I had to take everything down for a few days while I made sure everything was nice and clean and safe. Learned a lot about security and got some great assistance from Brian over at Vaultpress (which I had just signed up for a couple weeks back; lucky).

Anyhow, if you’re still with me, please let me know in the comments. I’d hate to think this hacker and my three-day “This site is under maintenance!” screen scared any of my readers off. :/

And in terms of my thoughts on this page: one of the most fun moments of writing is thinking about how to kick off from one scene into another—and the way Winona drew Deacon here, with his dead-pan introduction to what happened, is just what I was looking for to lead into the next page…

So, yes! This means we are about to leave Maven’s office and get into the meat of the story! Next week we are off to Da Vinci Four! 😀
